This patient wished to restore his hair line and temple due to an evident recession of the area. In this occasion Dr. Alcaide used 2541 FUE grafts since he basically reinforced the whole frontal section which was very weak.

Apologies for the delay. Thank you both for your comments, all of them are always very helpful.  

The hair of this patient is kind of coarse and still growing. Sometimes that type of hair is a little bit "wild", but once it settles down around 12 month period, the overall result will look better.  

Nevertheless the patient is already happy with the improvement achieved considering the previous situation, and if he ends up having a 2nd procedure for mid-section, I believe he wil be very pleased.  

@ Hairman22 , we prefer to not spread grafts over a big area, so in this ocassion the main goal was the frontal 1/3. If we would have reached the crowns, the density would be lower than expected.

This new procedure from Dr. Alcaide was done 7 months ago. The patient had an extensive hair loss and the main goal on this procedure was to rebuild frontal 1/3 area. Dr. advised him to start using finasteride trying to improve native hair on 2^nd half of the head.

Please take into account that the patient decided to shave his hair at 5^th month post-op, so it is a good chance to see donor recovery and also the density effect on recipient under those circumstances.

Regarding your question, Raphael, Dr. Alcaide was trained by Dr. Bisanga in 2014 and 2015 when Dr. Alcaide travelled to Brussels. Then he was also trained by Dr. Meyer who previously worked with Dr. Bisanga.

Dr. Alcaide and Dr. Meyer are the M.D. of BHR Clinic in Spain, and they 3 together are the surgeons of BHR CLINIC. They collaborate in different cases and we have patients who met Dr. Alcaide and have their procedures in Belgium, and vice versa. So there is a continuous work among all of them.

As said this patient had a very good hair in terms of calibre, so he needed a smaller amount of grafts compared to other patients. But Dr. Alcaide managed it wisely using the necessary FUs.

Thanks a lot for your comments. As far as I know the patient did not use any product when he came to the clinic at 7 months. The lighting can be a little bit different since I believe the surgery was done in our previous facilities, and that may create that perception.

That is "methylene blue". It helps to see the sites made on recipient. It is also used on donor area from time to time, specially on patients with white hair.

It disappears during the 1st days of the post-op process.
