Hi, I had surgery with Dr.Akif Mehmetoglu - AKM clinic. I want to share my experience with you. I had hair loss especially on my frontal area, but very thick hair on the top and sides. I felt embarrassed because my hair loss was very visible and decided to restore it, cause some friends told that I had good donor density for hair transplant. I made some research on the internet and found a lot of clinics in Turkey with good price. It was little bit hard to choose, I know that there are also some cheap clinics with low quality, definitely was not interested in this kind of places. I was looking for specialist doctor who will perform incisions and will supervise the surgery himself. After some research I found dermatologist doctor Akif Mehmetoglu and he met my expectations about doctor’s participation in surgery. Their clinic was very modern and clean. Doctor himself was very attentive and explained me more details about my surgery, answered my questions and I felt very confident to go ahead with surgery. They performed 3500 grafts and I had some discount, paid 1500 euros, they included 2 nights hotel, all medicine, shampoo, lotion, spray and also airport pickups. I was satisfied with service and even had assistant-translator during my stay. She assisted me all the time, was around during operation. She helped to relief my stress, as I was little bit nervous before procedure. The team was professional and they performed micro FUE extraction under local anesthesia, shots were painful but manageable. Doctor performed incisions with sapphire blades himself and team completed implantation. The whole process took around 6 hours and I was comfortable during operation. First night was uncomfortable to sleep cause I was scared to damage implanted grafts, I used neck pillow to sleep but was really hard. The next day I had hair wash, they took my bandage off and washed my head with lotion and shampoo. I had swollen head for 3 days and used ice pack to relief it. Overall I was satisfied with everything and want to recommend dr. Akif to you guys.
