  1. Hello everyone, I wanted to update everyone as I am now just over a year from my touch up procedure and 2 years from my first procedure. i am very happy and seeing increased thickening each month. I am attaching some photos taken last week before I got a hair cut and some from today. i feel like I have made a lot of progress even since my touch up which helped a lot with the density issues I was having. Anyone with very fine hair I would strongly recommending a 2nd procedure if you are still having density issues.
  2. Thanks!! also here are a couple pictures with my hair not brushed back.to show it how it is without styling . My donor was weak to start and dr korey really insisted I not do over 1500 grafts ( I wanted 2k) he gave me option of putting all 1500 in front area but he recommended I do 1k in front and 500 in the back to reinforce for future loss and making the top look to thicker. I am glad I listened to his advice. I will take some photos soon of my donor area (sides and back)
  3. Hello everyone, I haven’t been updating as I really have lost interest in my hair as I really feel after 2nd procedure (I’m almost at 8 months) that my hair loss is a thing of past. I haven’t been able to get a hair cut in about 6 weeks because of Covid situation but am kinda liking having longer hair. I will share a couple photos. At this points I would be happy even if I don’t get any more results. As you can see from my previous post I had very fine hair to start with so the density was always going to be an issue. I have to say everyone who knew me before says how natural it is and that really for me was the most important thing and people i didn’t know including my last haircut couldn’t even tell I had anything done. I had 4200 drafts then another 1500. And feel the 1500 have really covered in the thinning spaces well. Please let me know if anyone has any questions or suggestions on whether it will still look thick if I cut the hair short again. I felt the first surgery it looked better to keep it short he’s long.
  4. I read through your posts and surprised they haven't offered you the touch up as clearly there is a gap and would be an easy fix. I am not sure if I stated this earlier but I didn't even ask for a touch up procedure...they proactively offered it to me. Yes I had a density issue but I kept it pretty short so wind didn't;t effect as much. I would say the Evaluation with DR was fasters than my first visit. I really got no special treatment or any extra time explaining why the surgery didn't;t get the desired results. He just said yes he wasn't; happy with results. The DR did perform all the incisions. I would tell anyone considering ASMED if you are type of patient that needs details and time from DR then this is not your clinic. It really didn't bother me as I knew the process based on my first surgery and ultimately care about results and was happy they wanted to make my results right really without me even asking for help. I will start posting pictures once I can upload them..
  5. HELLO EVERYONE, I had a touch up procedure at Asmed about 14 months after my first 4200 Graft procedure. I will post picture shortly but wanted to start thread. I stayed in the new clinic half the trip and Hotel the second half of trip and surprisingly preferred the Clinic. Everything else about the experience was the same so I will not comment on the quality of everything but it was all still very high. My coordinator Andreea was also great and the communication after surgery has been much better than my first surgery. I am currently almost 5-6 weeks post up and the recovery has been so much easier and haven't had that much shock loss and feel like I haven't shed nearly as much but maybe its still to come? If this is the extent of my "ugly duck" phase I will be happy. I do not even wear a hat out as I think it looks good since I had no new work on my hairline it is still the same as after the first surgery which I think helps frame the face. Dr Korey was not happy with my results (the gaps and density issues)and seemed to be willing to put as many graft as needed but he was very concerned about my Donor area and did not want to over harvest. I pushed to get 2k or even 2.5K graft but he did not think it was wise with my thinning donor which I ultimately respected. He gave me the option to put all 1500 grafts in the frontal area to give more density or do 1K grafts in front and 500 to reinforce my crown and make it look better if indeed I do have more loss in my crown or even donor area. I opted for 1500 and 500 in crown to be safer. I will post pictures from the clinic and some current pictures this weekend. As before I am happy to answer any questions anyone might have related to having a 2nd corrective surgery or anything else.
  6. I leave in 1 week for a touchup procedure and maybe some more density. Anyone else had experience with touch up warranty procedure? How many graphs were given.? I will probably create a new post for my new surgery.
  7. Has anyone stayed at the new clinic? Is it better than a standard hotel room?
  8. I had my surgery at the old clinic. They had already hired some of the new staff for the new clinic and began training because my coordinator shared this information but my team had over 5 year experience.
  9. thanks...really appreciate the info. I think it will be an easy fix and add some more density to top it off. I am not unhappy it can happen and I stated with fine hair which is more difficult to get homerun results in one go
  10. Hi Kraistoff, Looks like you are progressing. Haven't been on in a bit. I see a lot of similarities to our results. I am returning in September for a touch up. I am happy with hairline but area right behind didn't grow in well. Send me a message if you want any details. I am still happy with results over all and have been able to hide the issue with concealer pretty easily.
  11. I plan to post a detailed 1 year but was reading the post regarding dr koray but wanted to give brief update. I can make my hair look quite good with small amount of concealer but there are some density issues and lack of grafts behind hair line. I think hairline is great. I also have dark hair and very pale so any lake of density is much more prevalent and that’s why the concealer helps so much as it darkens my scalp. I sent some photos to dr koray just asking his opinion not asking for anything and he voluntary offered a free touch up procedure. I will include couple photos of my hair styled looking good and couple showing the issue that he has offered to fix. i will also post some photos tomorrow after I style it and add the concealer. If I could accomplish this look without concealer I would be very happy with my touch up. i am returning on September 17th so will start a new thread If anyone reading this has had a 2nd procedure with dr koray or a touch up let me know so I can read your experience
  12. Thank you for information. I sent Dr Korey and my advisor my 1 year updated photos couple weeks ago without asking for anything and he voluntarily offered me a complimentary touch up procedure. He did not mention anything about free airfare but I will now ask my advisor. I am returning on September 17th for a touch up and maybe more graphs for density. I plan to post my current photos soon and maybe will do some quick shots to show the results but wanted to do a longer post for my 1 year results. As I have said on my patient experience page, I am in a better place than I was before surgery and can make my hair look quite good especially with a small amount of concealer, but the area behind the hairline didn't grow completely and there are some areas that need more graphs. I have read some of the criticism of Dr Korey and would like to say I believe he has the patients interest as a priority and is very concerned about patients experience and results and stands by his results. He did not have to offer me anything nor did I ask for anything but he was not happy with my photos and voluntarily offered to fix it...most doctors would not have taken this proactive step to make sure I was happy. I think this fact show how concerned he is about the results as I was not even complaining yet and he offered to fix it. I plan to post my follow up procedure.
  13. Hello, i am approaching 1 year in about 2 weeks. I plan to do a detailed write up and gooD pictures then but wanted to share couple shots now that I have let hair grow out. I really think I have seen a lot of thickening in last 2 weeks or so so people who are early on it you really can get better results even close to 12 months. I have no concealer in just some matted hair product.
  14. Here are some updates photos 11 months 1 week. These are simply out of shower towel dried with no product. I haven’t had hair cut on top in a couple months as I had almost shaved it all off. I am still buzzing the sides to a 2 guard i always brush it and put product in before I go anywhere. Please let me know thoughts on how this looks. I am considering cutting the hair short on top again maybe 2 buzz throughout .
  15. Hello everyone. Here is a brief update for 11 months after a hair cut. ive included to pictures one with a gel more slicked back and another wearing it with a dry wax sticking up Any suggestions would be appreciated. I am waiting another month to send photos to Asmed to see if I need a touch up but overall it’s good but could be thicker. I always knew with my fine hair I would prob need more grafts. Please look back at my original before photos to compare. I cannot tell if the graphs all grew in just thin or I all my grafts didn’t grow
