  1. Pubic hair can be used as donor. However, they would grow slower than the scalp or beard hair. They would also not attain the length of the scalp or beard hair.
  2. I was a Norwood III before I got my hair transplant. I keep my hair long now. I also take finasteride for the preservation of my pre existing hair. My hair looks absolutely voluminous and there are no bald spots showing.
  3. Topical finasteride does not have as much side effects as oral finasteride. However, oral finasteride is more potent. If you're not having any side effects then I'd recommend that you stay on the pill.
  4. You don't require a hair transplant at all. If you are experiencing hair loss then you can go for medications. Please do not go for a transplant.
  5. Your donor is good. 3000 grafts can easily be extracted. Its a good thing that you are on Finasteride too.
  6. I used Finasteride prior to my surgery too. I had a similar case to yours but my baldness was greater. Finasteride will not bring new growth in the frontal zone. The medication will stabilize the progression of baldness. The density in the mid scalp and the crown will increase over time. You should wait for at least 12 months for the results to be visible on the mid scalp and the crown.
  7. You can start using hair clippers after the first headwash itself i.e. usually after 7 days. Provided your donor has healed properly.
  8. I am on antidepressants too. I do take Finasteride and there have been no problems so far. You have a great donor area. But it would be sad to not use finasteride after the transplant as new areas would start developing baldness and you would have to go for another transplant again and again in the newly bald areas. Infact, you seem to have good hair in your crown area. Finasteride could be so helpful in reviving those hair, preventing further baldness as well as sustaining the transplanted hair also.
  9. Wonderful. The shedding seems to be on point. Are you taking Finasteride also?
  10. That looks wonderful. Please ignore the negativity. I faced the same when I first joined.
  11. This is looking extremely nice. Hope you're taking finasteride.
  12. I think your hair looks phenomenal. However, do keep sharing your updates even on the 12th and 18 months too.
  13. Thank you for sharing your update. It looks absolutely amazing for the 7th month mark.
  14. Thank you so much. I am taking Evion 400. I am so happy that my journey helped you in any way. ❤❤❤❤
  15. The fact that you are doing everything that you are supposed to (taking medications and multivitamins), there is nothing to worry about. My regrowth really picked up around the 6th month. So please don't worry if the growth is delayed as well. But looking at your pictures, your growth seems to be starting.
