  1. It is a difficult situation to be in and I understand your predicament regarding getting a hair transplant. If finasteride has side effects in your case, then you can try Saw Palmetto and see it's results in your case. Also, please do post some pictures for us to see your hair loss pattern. We can give you an evaluation regarding your situation.

Hi all, I'm sure this topic has been discussed before but I'm curious if anyone has any personal experience with switching from once to twice a day and whether or not that led to better results.

I know the argument for using it once a day being just as effective due to the half life so no need to rehash that discussion, I'm more curious if anyone has anecdotal experience.

I had a consult with a reputable doc yesterday and he suggested using twice a day. Since I have cats I would probably apply once at 9:30am and then again around 2:30pm and then wash out around 7pm.

I used Minoxidil twice a day. It had wonderful results. You can do the same.

    10 DAYS PRE OP

Hi all, with my surgery date looming around the corner I am starting to feel the excitement and nerves! The recent updates from @track_ratand @qwop123 have worried me slightly but the calls and continous updates from @Eugenix Hair ScienceshaS given me hope and trust in them to deliver great results.
I have opted for a cheaper package and I know many on the forum have questioned the quality of these packages so I guess I will be proof of Eugenix’s work and can prove just how amazing they are (hopefully!)

I will next update a week after surgery, pray for me and wish me luck 🙌🏾

Wish you the best of results and a wonderful procedure. Please don't worry about anything. The results in all the packages are good. The technique, skill set, resources etc are the same in all packages. You are in good hands.

So after following the network for some time I’ve bitten the bullet and taken the decision to book a hair transplant. At 26 and with around a nw 3 hairline it has really affected my confidence. I’ve now booked the exclusive package for 2.5k grafts with Eugenix based on the experiences discussed on here in the hope of generating a natural hairline. I’m due to travel in September and the clinic have requested a series of blood tests ahead of travel. Does anyone have any experience of having these done in the UK before travelling. It’s soemthing I’ve struggled to find any more information on or find out how to get it arranged? I’m also curious to know how long it took people to get a visa for medical travel. Any advice in advance would be much appreciated. TIA. Dan

You can get the blood tests done after you arrive in India. You can come a two days prior to the procedure and get the blood tests done.

so im post op day 10, and ive noticed that ive shed quite a bit of my transplanted hairs and lost the density I had after the transplants. Is this normal? i had my ht at eugenix and in one of the emails from the clinic it read the following

"First 4 weeks: most of the transplanted hair stays and attains some growth in length. The scalp looks quite dense, and everyone feels extremely happy and satisfied with the procedure."

I also notice that some of scabs have hairs attached to them? were these hairs destined to have fallen out anyways and the scab was just keeping them on the scalp, or was I too rough on massaging the scabs off with my fingers?

I started losing the transplanted hair immediately after my first headwash. Nothing to worry about. The shedding phase can last anywhere up to 4 to 6 months from immediately after the headwash. But it cannot be generalised. The shedding phase will be at different time intervals for different people.

I am 2 weeks post op and with it being summer, wondering about the effects of sunlight. At what point is it safe to let some sun on your head? I also tend to burn easy...would even a slight burn damage anything to the new hair sites and prevent growth? I haven't shed anything yet, but know it is coming, and want to know how long I have to obsessively protect my head.

I used to walk around in the sun two weeks after my hair transplant procedure. You can use a sunscreen to protect your scalp. You can try to minimise time out in harsh heat.

currently, i use minoxidil foam in the morning all over my hair (back too)

and then in the evening apply topical fin to my hairline and minoxidil foam over the rest.

with this routine, ive been washing my hair every other day as my hair gets pretty greasy by that time.

i want to start experiencing with hair products like mousse on my hair and was wondering if it was ok to incorporate with my current routine? im scared of clogging up the hair follicles and min/fin not being as effective and experiencing a shed or something.

would washing my hair in the morning, applying min foam, waiting like an 1hr then applying mousse be ok? and then not reapplying it until the next wash day?

I use mousse everyday too. I wash my hair every alternate day. Its okay to use products on your hair. Its not going to be an issue.

    2 Month Update.

exactly 2 months today since my procedure with Dr Bisanga. I’ve totally switched off from it and not been at all bothered in terms of trying to hide it.
with permission from the clinic I have buzzed it down which makes it blend in and look much better. I actually really like it that way !
With it only being 2 months there is obviously nothing to report on in terms of growth but the redness has really faded and settled down.
On the below pics I have not buzzed it for 2 weeks, it usually looks and blends in better when it’s buzzed down.

The donor looks absolutely untouched with no issues whatsoever.

I started taking oral minoxidil about 1 month before the procedure and I certainly feel like something is happening . My beard has really thickened up and more hairs across my cheekbones which I don’t mind at all.
I think my hairs and toes have more hairs ?

I have also most definitely grown baby type thin hair on the side of my head from my temple points to my eyebrows on both sides. They are not really visible unless you look closely but they are certainly there.
Let’s hope the minoxidil also works on the head.

  11. My transplant journey has been nothing but rewarding. I'm overwhelmed by my own results. Still going steady on finasteride 1 mg daily. Almost 6 years since my transplant and I'm still amazed by my hair everyday and thankful to God.

Dr Arika Bansal and Dr Pradeep Sethi have given me confidence and happiness in some of the most important years of my youth. I'm forever thankful and feel blessed.

Here I am sharing some of my updated pictures. I've been colouring my hair too. Its okay to colour your transplanted hair for those who are in doubt.20220614_215604.thumb.jpg.d95f2df5708d3a4894acb79c5018f71c.jpg20220614_215617.thumb.jpg.1b9efae873fd273c75b3f8526d2feba2.jpg20220614_215623.thumb.jpg.25d059adb71471276659c35a6297dd97.jpg20220614_215716.thumb.jpg.445220d2b8870aca2599d861af34e648.jpgIMG_20220614_215344_666.thumb.jpg.3a7943c055f6838765ea98c9173c6226.jpg

Hi all - long time lurker, probably for the past 6 years. I’m 31 years old and am finally planning on pulling the trigger on a HT. I have contacted both Eugenix and BHR clinic. I’ve been taking finasteride for a couple months with no side effects (no results either, but I know it takes up to a year) I’m not expecting any miracle with fin but if it can keep future loss at bay then I’m grateful. I’m adding a couple photos to get your opinion on Norwood level and what clinic you all would recommend. I got an evaluation back from Eugenix and they said I look like a Norwood 3 with about 3000 graders needed, although to me I look more like a 4-5, but then again this isn’t my realm. Thank you all in advance!

I had a similar baldness like yours. I was a Norwood III. However, I did not have as much thinning on my mid scalp and crown.
