  1. Konior, Hasson, and Wong are all extremely good and well documented. I would do a consult with each clinic and see what they'd recommend. I had a great experience with Dr. Konior, but I'm sure I'd be happy if I went with Dr. Hasson as well.
  2. Damn, looks great. Looking forward to the final result
  3. One of the best results I've seen in a long time, you wouldn't think he has medium-fine hair based on the great texture in the post op pics.
  4. Scar looks really good for just a few weeks out, another few month and it'll look even better.
  5. Great write up! Seems like you have a good hair texture for a transplant. You are going to be very happy.
  6. Nice work with the illuminating write up! Your frustration with the clinic is understandable, but try not to scrutinize everything before the result is complete. If you overthink it and are looking for an unsatisfying result before it's complete, you'll be primed for dissatisfaction even if the result is really great. Temples are tricky to gauge early in the process - there's a very good chance they'll end up looking amazing. Asymmetrical shedding isn't an issue btw, everyone sheds differently and at different rates. Everyone hopes they will be the rare patient who doesn't shed at all, only to be disappointed 😂 I think there's a very good chance that the temple choices will make sense in the context of your final "after" photos. Hang in there and soon you'll get to experience what we all yearn for through hair transplantation - looking slightly more attractive for the rest of your life.
  7. No hard feelings on my end! I enjoyed the discussion and didn't mind having my own case discussed, though maybe others would feel differently. At the end of the day I'd consider both Konior's and H&W's clinics to be probably the best in North America. As always, anyone is welcome to PM me about my experience.
  8. This looks awesome - a great result that will age well thanks to the conservative approach. Your hairline is pretty unique and it was a smart move to basically just thicken and enhance that. Feeling more and more like I'll go with Nadimi if Konior is unavailable/retired by the time I want a touch up.
  9. Ridiculously good result, makes me want to go back to Dr. K for another few thousand grafts 😂
  10. I used both, as I recall the hotel had an ice maker. I also bought some kind of ice pack compress from the Walgreens in the area.
  11. I would talk to Hasson, Konior (+ Nadimi), Bloxham, and really whichever other doctors stand out to you. There's no harm in getting more opinions from the top surgeons and it will only take a few minutes to reach out. Dr. Bernstein is a great resource but I haven't seen results posted of his work in a long time, and I've never really considered him to be near the top in terms of hairline artistry.
  12. Beautiful result! Looks like you have great hair characteristics - congrats on the bulletproof hairline.
  13. Stock up on food from Pete's grocery store down the street and make sure you have some good ice packs ready to go!
  14. I did a 3 once and the scar wasn't visible, but haven't tried trimming it below that. Might be my imagination, but I feel like it looks even better under harsh lighting as more time has passed. I'm 2+ years post procedure now and the hair has held together really well.
  15. The ugly duckling stage is tough but keep in mind no one is paying attention to your hair as much as you are. Hang in there for a few months and you're going to start feeling great -- the hairline design looks excellent
  16. I appreciate all the comments! And I don’t mind the critiques. There are certainly times I feel like I wish I had more density, but overall I’d say I’m content. I did go out of my way to make it look as bad as possible in those last few pics, as others have said. I don’t think any ordinary person would look at my hairline as anything unusual — in fact, a first date recently told me that I have really good hair which is always nice to hear after a HT. I seriously doubt graft survival was an issue. Dr. K had said we’d have a density of around ~40 grafts per cm^2 and I almost felt like pushing him to go for 50, but ultimately my request was to simply go as dense as he felt was ethically possible. With my fine hair caliber and scalp contrast, the result looks about right imo. I’ll try and post a few additional pics soon. I’m not in a rush to go through the HT process again, but if I decide to do another pass in a few years I’ll definitely ask him to bulk up the hairline some more.
  17. Wow, incredible result. Dr. Wong's surgical style is really perfect for your type of hair loss. I'm sure having light/curly hair has been very helpful as well. Congrats!
  18. Great progress! And bound to get even better
  19. I had similar concerns before my surgery as well -- there's always the chance you'll lose a whole lot of hair behind the transplant, despite having had success with meds. As long as you're open to the possibility of future procedures or ok with the fact that it could thin in back, I'm sure it'll turn out fine. All you can do is keep taking fin (or try dut) and hope for the best. Few surgeons are as mindful of the potential for future loss as Dr. Konior, and he usually designs hairlines that look good even if you continue to thin. Relax, ask plenty of questions, and enjoy the ride. I found FUT with Dr. K to be one of the easiest medical procedures I've ever had. I could always lose more hair, but I'm very happy with what I have for the foreseeable future.
  20. Sorry to hear about your experience, if it makes you feel better I've seen lots of Diep post-op pics similar to yours that have gone on to look really good. Stay strong and happy growing!
