  1. I am nearly 2 months out, and unfortunately I am dealing with extreme scar stretching at one portion of my scar 😔. I will not start weight lifting for another 4 months, but I am worried I will experience even more stretching once I do. It appears as though I have bad laxity, as my last scar stretched slightly as well, and my old clinic was much less reputable than my recent one. I was really hoping I would have a better scar this time around.... Any advice for me down the road? I feel I have limited donor hair. Would beard hair into the scar at some point be a viable option? I have one more fut scheduled for a year from now (for less grafts than taken this time around) are there laxity exercises I could engage in before then to get a better scar result? I am hoping the transplant result will make me feel somewhat better, but when you spend $16,000 you expect everything to be close to perfect. Please advise... I don't know why the pictures upload upside down. Sorry in advance.
  2. @LaserCaps I'm definitely dealing with shock loss right now. I may or may not have stretched the scar by lifting something heavy recently, I don't know... Are there not exercises I can do to increase laxity? I do feel as though it mostly stretched during sleep. Currently I'm on topical minoxidil mixed with 0.1% finasteride. It seems to help, somewhat. I will be starting topical dutasteride soon. Shock loss aside, I feel as though I don't have an excess of donor hair. I'm looking into beard hair fue into donor scar. All of this is for the road. I will wait for this HT to kick in and go from there. I'm only 5 weeks out from surgery. I will wait and see..
  3. My scar is now even wider, and I haven't even started exercising yet. I nervous once I start lifting again in a few months it will stretch even more. I believe i was led astray as to how much laxity I have. I have seen people try smp and grafts into scar, but it never really seems to work that well. Any advice? So far both surgeries I have had have been upsetting experiences in one way or another. Hoping the results will look good in recipient area, at least. I have another surgery booked for a year from now to cover crown and repair scar. Again, I am not sure why the picture is attaching upside down..
  4. I have. I've been told there is nothing that can be done.
  5. I know it's only one month. But as you can see the scar is clearly stretched. For comparison I have added a picture of part of my scar line that has not stretched.
  6. @CanadianWithQuestions Sorry I did not reply to this last year. I really hope you did not choose this doctor. The whole experience with him was terrible. Bad scar, didlshonest and terrible results. Hopefully you found someone better.
  7. I do not know why some of the pictures were rotated upside down. Sorry
  8. I recently had an fut/scar revision surgery done with Hasson and Wong in Vancouver. I'm nearly a month out from the surgery date. I have serious concerns about my scar. Without thinking, I accidentally lifted something heavy for about 5 seconds. I'm an idiot. It looks as though it has caused major stretching. I must not have good laxity (I was told I had good laxity by doc) because even when googling stretched scars, few seem to be as easily stretched as mine. Last time I had a fut, I believe I started exercising too early (about a month out), causing stretching, but that was with heavy weight consistently. This was one instance of lifting something heavy, and it seems it was quite costly :(. Anyways, as usual, I am stressed and depressed regarding my scar and hair. I will post a few pictures. Please let me know if you think this may improve over time. Of course, any HONEST feedback is appreciated. Looking for tips and suggestions for the future as well. Wondering if anyone has dealt with something similar. Thanks all.
  9. That picture is actually a few weeks old. I just wanted to put a worse picture of it just to get a lore honest opinion. It has actually improved over time. I'm just hoping it keeps getting better. Any idea as when the redness will subside? Also the surgeon was Dr. Gupta with seager hair in Toronto.
  10. I am a 27 yr old man who started losing pretty early, around 18. Just had my first ht surgery (yes yes I know, early) about two months ago. Would like to get input on what you guys think I could expect as well as how to maintain during the next few months. Had about 3000 grafts put in! I have been using rogaine for native hair and that has helped slightly for the time being. Will also be purchasing a laser helmet shortly (i am terrified of finasteride, and will not be experimenting with it..) I am also a little concerned about my scar at this point. It seems to have widened slightly, especially over my left ear and right back portion. I have my hair a little under an Inch long and it covers it very well. But the doc said I'd be able to wear 3 guard buzz, and at this point it's very noticeable at that length. Will it continue to heal so I can wear it at a 3 guard? Thanks! Mainly I'm just looking for tips and any advice thanks! ! Thanks
