  1. Looked through most of this but didn't catch/never saw the final cost? I know that's not the most important factor, but it's always good to know.
  2. Results are great. How much did this procedure cost you?
  3. I appreciate your replies. I have seriously considered shaving my head, but I think this is the route I want to take at this point. As far as the budget goes, if I found a way to get my monthly payments down, I would definitely consider paying more. My budget was based on how many grafts I think I would need, which would be between 1250 and 1750. Would you guys have any legitimate estimate on what I may expect to pay with that many grafts since it sounds like $6500 is too low? Thanks again for all the help.
  4. I imagine this type of stuff pops up constantly on here so hopefully someone will be able to guide me in the right direction. Some background info: I’m 29 and I have been losing my hair in my temple area for quite a while, noticeably since I was around 20. At this point, the thinning has made the hairline non-existent and my temple area is bare with it starting to thin above that area as well. I’ve been able to cover it up for a long time but it’s getting much harder to do that now and I’m considering shaving my head. The reason I haven’t is because my skin is pretty bad and I’m worried that my self esteem will be shot if I actually go through with buzzing it. I’ve been contemplating getting an FUE transplant for a long time but I think I’ve finally decided on doing it. Im at the point where I don’t feel comfortable leaving the house without a hat so I feel like it’s time. I’m on somewhat of a budget with cost, looking to stay under $6,500. I should be able to save up at least half of that. I’m curious for serious recommendations of doctors, primarily in the Midwest, that have a good reputation with African American hair. I had a consultation years ago but after I left I felt that he was merely a salesman and not someone that had my best interest in mind. I’ve written a few things down about what I should be thinking about asking at new consultations, so if anyone has any suggestions there that would be great. I’m also struggling to find a place where cost is discussed thoroughly even though I know every place will be different for different reasons. I’m wanting to get the procedure done in the next few months. If anyone has any questions I’m more than willing to answer.
