  1. Hello, this is looks very similar to mine at this point in time. hairline doesn’t look too bad, but behind the hairline is terrible. Behind the hairline is just as important as it gives the illusion of density when you style your hair. im hoping both ours will improve. I went to This clinic due to the positive reviews, and to be honest the fact they used slightly higher grafts, so I thought I would have higher density . cannot believe We are looking at a sub par result after spending a considerable amount of money.
  2. Plus I don’t think my hair was planted that densely behind the hairline see below photo
  3. Thanks. i dont really want to use 6000 grafts mostly in my frontal third. That would give me at most 2000 grafts to use elsewhere in the future . Im Hoping for a miracle .
  4. Thanks all i do see some very fine white hair , not sure of this is old shrunken hair or new hair growing
  5. I wouldn’t say my hair is “short” now , would you? If it does fail, I would want to know how much grafts survived and a reason why it didn’t.
  6. Cheers I’m trying to not let it worry me. The thing that worries me the most is if it stays like this and doesn’t get any better , and having to use another 1000 grafts to get it fixed. I will have used 5500 grafts then and won’t have much left for future loss . Keep telling myself that I spent a considerable amount of money to go to a top clinic, but recent feedback contradicts this .
  7. Good day all, so I am now practically 8 months post op. Wothout styling my hair and using fibres , when my hair is at current length i don’t have the look I am aiming for. However with a little paste and a little fibre my hair can look brilliant . I have taken a mixture of photos, inside , outside , out of direct light and in direct light . A couple are outside with no styling product , and other with a little paste but NO FIBRES . I think it’s important to show hair styled as who would spend £10k on an operation and not to bother styling their hair when they go outside . POSITIVES Hairline is denser than the mid scalp. Hairline looks natural no noticeable multi grafts in hairline donor area looks perfect hairline design good only at 8 months and perhaps more growth and thickening to happen Temple peaks and frontal lock look perfect - these areas never shed and grew from day one NOT SO POSITIVES My Left side of head is less dense than the right density behind the hairline isn’t satisfying . I think this is a big issue to the overall result and density behind the hairline is important for the illusion of density in the hairline due to passage of light my pale skin and dark hair makes hair look a lot thinner when outside left hand side hairline won’t stay up and falls over when styled - maybe due to density Transplanted hair doesn’t blend well with existing hair. IM not sure if this is due to my features The last but one photo shows my left side which I think looks bad and is quite disappointing for me. Hopefully this will improve I think the lighting of each photo is self explanatory , but if you have any questions please do respond thanks
  8. Looking good mate sure it will continue to thicken
  9. It still doesn’t look good at all when outside I hope my scalp will be covered when outside once all grown in / matured , because at the moment outside or under direct light my hair looks thin. The area behind the hairline is particularly bad when outside , and I know less density was put in here . I hope I don’t need a second procedure so soon after . That makes a 18 month journey a 3 year journey , and not too happy using so many grafts in the front.
  10. Might do. I have very pale skin and dark hair , so won’t look very good under camera. I don’t really want to be involved with the negative movement on this forum either , I almost deleted my account . Don’t want this thread to end up another negative one. I will continue to post a mixture of results
  11. Pretty sure that photo is of John Travolta in Grease!
  12. I’m now at 7 and a half months this is is my hair combed back in various lighting conditions (living room, bathroom, , under light and outside ) i am very happy, a little more density behind the hairline will make me 90% happy. I think the photos speak for themselves that density has improved in past month.
  13. I reckon most of my grafts have grown, there just isn’t enough grafts behind the hairline to provide adequate coverage yet. I think this is funny as I do recall using some coverage calculator in Asmed which calculated how much density you needed for coverage. Im not really too happy at the thought of having to have another procedure so soon (thinking negatively ) as then I would have used over 6000 grafts in the frontal third only. I would never agreed to get temple work or any in my thinning crown . I didn’t realise my crown was thinning until Dr E said, and come think of it he knew I was on Propecia for only 6 months, perhaps we should’ve used less grafts and seen if propecia helped for the crown, it used those 1000 he used for the crown to make up the density in front.
  14. Not sure . I know I only used scissors for a while. But the temples never shed and healed really quickly
  15. Well you should just embrace the bald head look as you won’t be looking like that ever again !
  16. Exciting times. Looking at your photos reminds myself of my time there. I would go again. The experience was awesome.
  17. I think it makes you shed weak hair and better hair grows in its place but you will lose them if you discontinue i don’t think anyone knows how minox actually works, but for most it doesn’t help very much and you have to keep using it you will lose gains and end up worse than before . you shouldn’t shed transplanted hair, but your native hair might. If you’re not doing it forever then there’s no point
  18. Cheers guys its also important to say that the photos that look bad are showing my hair under the harshest possible conditions. I have very very pale skin (should have been ginger haired) and darkish hair . When I take photos in direct sun the light is going to bounce off my skin and make it look 10 times worse . My hair in door looks very good in my opinion. It is just that area behind the hairline . I actually think most grafts have grown. Below photos are indoors and and without toppik
  19. I hope so! I will keep positive for the next few months. i appreciate everyone’s feedback and the time they have taken to write here, but I will try and remain positive . It is very difficult for me to read negative comments and not feel the need to freak out , I have sent a few neurotic emails / messages to the clinic and they assure me that it will be ok.
  20. Hello mate i stopped as I was told by someone on here that it caused native hairs to shed . my thoughts were that if my native hair shed (not donor) , and I stopped using it that I would lose those hairs
  21. Thanks for the feedback guys I hope they get better , but my hair looks quite good with a little fibre . I hope I don’t have to put more grafts into the front to be happy after 18months. I’ve alreaady used 3500 grafts, and want to keep enough for the crown in the future . If density was going to be an issue I wouldn’t have been ok with 1000 grafts being put into my crown , or having temple peaks done. My crown has a lot of native hair . One thing i am I am curious about is why the Dr overplanted my existing temples. I have seen it done elsewhere but would like to know why this is done.
