  1. 5 YEAR UPDATE

Almost 5 years since my first procedure with Asmed and still get a buzz when I get a new haircut.

My result was better than I ever expected, and changed my life . I even think now how silly I was worrying about going bald , but easy to say that when I’m happy with my hair .

I think the fin every day and Avodart twice a week has maintained the crown

If anyone has any questions feel free to message me

Im sorry but in my opinion this is a mediocre result considering your starting point and the final result which i feel you are somewhat hiding by combing your hair sideways. This is 6000 grafts at premium prices including the touch up, anyone considering ASMED should go and look at what eugenix or other clinics is doing with those amounts.

    Fair enough

although I can say I’m happy with my hair now. The result is the result .

This thread is a testament to how much lighting & styling can influence how good or bad a transplant can look lol.  The result goes from average to excellent every second photo update. Main thing is when you style it correctly it looks great 👍

    Hey

i don’t fully agree . I think it looks good all the time in later photos . Whilst early on I needed to maintain length and style . Now I can pretty much do any length / style

  4. Hello everyone

appreciate I said the last was my last post ,but thought I’d drop in to show my 4 and (almost) a half year result.

to Be honest I couldn’t be happier , and my hair doesn’t bother me anymore . I can go out without worrying about the wind and rain, I can put gel in some days but other days I just put in some water and then comb it when wet to get the direction I want , and nobody could even tell.

looking back , I’m happy I went to Asmed, as even though the first result was good, they invited me Back and helped me with the issues I had.

I also thank everyone in this forum and hope My record can help others like me In future .

I am now 35, and to Be honest a part of me thinks ‘ why the hell did I let my hairloss Bother me to begin with?’ - but I cannot complain . My advice is if it bothers you and you can afford It , go for it.

    Hey,

not a dumb question, I should have been more clear. I use 1.5 mm dermaroller once a month as it significantly boosts the production of endothelial growth factors for hair, as it reaches the hair bulge region. I use it once a month because when longer needles (1.5mm) are used, you need time for cells to regenerate.

Then I use 0.5 mm needle-length dermaroller 3 times a week as it is enough to boost the absorption of topical scalp treatment solutions - nanoxidil in my case.

    Source of those statements: https://hairverse.com/dermaroller-hair-loss/

    Ah ok

i love DS Laboratories but don’t keep at it as cannot afford. I used to use the Revita Shampoo and conditioner and liked it.

how much does it set you back a month £?

  6. Hello all,

This will be my last post on this thread - I leave you with a positive mind.

im now 10 months post op and nothing much changed . I’m very happy with my hair and the issue I had (personally) with minor lack of density behind hairline (which Asmed sorted out for me free) is not an issue anymore.

To anyone thinking about surgery and making a post on here, please be ready for the amount of negative comments to out number positive ones, as people will try to make you feel bad , either for a laugh or due to them having their own vendetta against someone or a certain clinic.

A massive thank you to Dr Koray and the while team for giving me this result and for helping me when I was paranoid (which I was when looking back as there wasn’t much wrong with my first result, it was the negative people on here that poisoned my mind)

I would say that Asmed are one of the best clinics in the world and this is reflected on how they treat their patients and stand by their work.

    all the best, happy growing

p.s - I will return when my crown decides to disappear

    Hi

thank you for sharing, may I ask you why Dutasteride twice a week?

I’m gonna get some nizoral and I’ll use it once a week as well, doesn’t cost me a thing anyway so why not lol 😆

    thanks

I was told that twice a week gave people good result when used alongside Fin, so I gave it a go . It’s been 10 months now

Hey man, in my honest opinion you should have had better growth by now, that said I looked at your post op photo and it looks like for the amount of grafts they covered a pretty large area, however, I do wonder if your hair loss of native hairs accelerated since the time of your procedure making it look as if something went wrong (which may or may not have). That said, another 1,500+ grafts to add some density could improve things.

    Second this

also a little length and style would go a long way and make it look much fuller

@Kraistoffyou had a good result with Asmed and this is probably the reason why you continue to defend this clinic, but the saddest thing is that Asmed does not explain what could have happened, classic attitude of low cost clinics, it has done so always, it seems to me that Miss Suzana Kubinek, probably the PR officer on the clinic's forums, when it suits them, here is if she steps in to thank the patients for posting their good results.

    Hi Egy

I just think the OP should grow his Hair a little and assess again after . I don’t think this is defending the clinic , I’m defending then OP as I know first hand how it feels.

I had the forum members criticise my transplant and call it a failure too. I then concentrated on the imperfections rather than the improvements made.

how you style your hair and present it is also key after a transplant , this is a matter of fact and true density can never be achieved.  Let’s give OP some support on advise on how to better his current situation without having another surgery just yet .

  10. Hi

sorry but I disagree that ‘it has nothing to do with length’ - tell me I’m not the only one who thinks a transplant is an ‘illusion of density’ and you need to have some length on order to achieve that illusion .

why do you think transplant patient never have buzz cuts ? I don’t understand what you mean by ‘I could cut my hair even shorter and have great density’ - what do you mean exactly ?
