  1. Great result & some numbers as well, very good. More information like this would be very useful.
  2. Bill A few that come to mind, though all European based. However, they may not want the exposure on this forum but examples of their work is available elsewhere. Spain - Dr Lorenzo, Dr Vila, Dr Freitas & Dr Couto Turkey - Dr Keser, Dr Kaan & Dr Oztan Belgium - Dr Feriduni UK - Dr Ball Portugal - Dr Ferreira Cheers
  3. There are many top surgeons not recommended on this website that are worth considering but as you say beyond choosing the surgeon we’re in the hands of the gods.
  4. Assuming that you’re not in your 50s or more then the chances are you will require further surgery based on today’s surgical techniques & medications, so if 20 years is your requirement then I would say forget about it as you’re going to end up disappointed.
  5. Firstly, for various reasons not even the ‘best’ surgeons always produce great results. I’m also UK based and have looked at all the usual suspects and in my opinion there’s better abroad and at a more competitive price. You’ll find loads of info on this website so take your time and plan carefully.
  6. With no pictures, who knows what your agenda is??!!
  7. Sounds like you’re UK based, you may want to consider Spain, Belgium & Turkey - don’t limit your search because it’s local, you may need to travel to find the right surgeon for you.
  8. Surgeon is Dr Vila (see above post) native density is approx 80 graphs cm2, the red line was from another consultation in the UK and it’s not entirely to my liking but purely a guide, my aim for the consultation was to make sure I was a suitable candidate for a HT. I’m UK based and always accepted I was going to travel to get the right surgeon for me.
  9. Scheduled with Dr Vila early 2019 who worked with Dr Lorenzo for nine years and did his transplants, has set up her own practice in Madrid a few months ago. I’ve been told that 78-80 grafts cm2 is completely unrealistic. I sort of agree as my donor area is currently 80.
  10. Very good outcome, nice to see before & after photos taken at the same angle & lighting.
  11. Not sure what your point is, no mega density mentioned in my submission, I was simply responding to the information presented. With reference to the thining of native hair your theory could apply to anywhere after a HT not just the temporal area.
  12. Bill My comment was more of an observation on the variation of work presented and in fairness to the clinic they responded with an example of their temporal work, can’t ask for more.
  13. Don’t trust this man & his images. Correct me if I’m wrong but Chicago2017’s thread remains inconclusive??!! Another recommended surgeon??!!
  14. We definitely need more European representation here, however on some of the cases provided the temporal work is non existent, to early for recommendation.
  15. First image is my hair combed to one side to expose the balding area the second is how my hair normally sits, I’m 56 years old. Surgeon’s justification to 40-45 graphs was beyond that number the blood supply struggles.
  16. Seanson’s greetings all Scheduled for surgery early 2019 (frontal & temporal 2500 graphs) and would appreciate the forum’s guidance re minimum graph density to the transplanted area after surgery. On various threads it seems to vary from 30 - 60 graphs per cm2 - my surgeon is advising that 40 - 45 graphs is the target and will achieve a good result. My donor hair is dark brown, 68 microns with a slight curve. I have 10,000+ donor graphs available so should I push for greater density? Thanks
  17. Well done Melvin, video delivered with transparency & honesty, as it should be.
  18. Probably twice a week for several weeks. When you’re already on Finasteride, Minoxidil, Nizoral & MSM I suppose you do have to draw a line somewhere. Apparently you can’t apply Nizoral for at least twelve hours after using the Dermaroller.
  19. Not convinced of its effectiveness, I’ve tried the Dermaroller and all I end with is hair tangled around the needles. I had a discussion with Dr Lorenzo a few months back and he advised it was a waste of time, although other surgeons do recommend it. So for me the jury’s out on this one.
  20. Splitting Hairs She started in her own premises a couple of months ago, I think the waiting list is @3 months, she’s half the price (€2.5 per graph Lorenzo €5 - after 2000 graphs they both charge €2.5 per graph) I know money shouldn’t be the deciding factor but for me they’re both producing very similar results using the same methodology so there’s a saving of €5k, bit of a no-brainer. With Dr Vila you need to sort out your own accommodation, no big deal really.
  21. Ask me in a couple of months, I’m scheduled for surgery late January/ early February with Dr Vila. Dr Lorenzo has a guy called Dr Bruno Ferrari working with him now who had/has his own practice in Portugal. My guess is he’ll tap into Lorenzo’s expertise for a while then go back to his own practice.
