  1. Hi, How much improvement did you experience or is realistic to expect after the first 6 months of the HT surgery? I am asking because I am getting worried a little. Looking at post-op pictures, my crown looked covered with hair. It’s been five and a half months since my surgery. Everything else is coming along nicely but the crown.
  2. Dr. Konior, Great results. I am just so happy you were my surgeon. Can’t wait for my hair to grow. Many thanks to you and your team for all you did for me.
  3. I had a consultation with a very respected physician in the field and asked him “If YOU were to have a hair transplant who would you go with?” With no hesitation he said “Konior, he is an artist.” I had never heard of him before. I researched him like crazy. I couldn’t find even ONE unhappy patient. I also went to Chicago and had a face-to-face with him. He is impressive. Yes, the wait is long and he charges top dollar. But I believe it’s well worth it. I had my surgery exactly two months ago. So, the jury is still out on my results. But my scalp looked amazing post op. Nothing like some of these butchered scalps I see online. In case you were wondering, I had roughly 3500 grafts (FUE) transplanted over two days. And yes, he was there the entire time.
  4. Konior. I love that man. He is incredible as a surgeon and as a human being.
  5. Looks great. I am less than one month post op. Dr. Konior is not only an exceptional surgeon he is also an incredible person. Couldn’t be happier with my experience.
  6. At the end of the day, YOU need to feel comfortable with your doctor. It really doesn’t matter what others think about your decision. That being said, I have never seen a doctor more responsive than Dr. Konior. The man is a magician. I am 13 days post op and couldn’t be happier. With everything. I paid top dollar for my procedure, don’t get me wrong, but it was well worth it.
  7. Thank you sir. I guess it’s just a waiting game now to see what happens next.
  8. Thank you much for your detailed response. My question, however, is this: is it possible that as I go through this process, the transplanted hair doesn’t fall off and just keeps growing?
  9. Hi, I am on the 4th day post-op. I am recovering pretty well and have no complaints. However, I keep reading about shedding and shock loss and it made me wonder if they are inevitable. Simply put, will I necessarily lose the grafted hair before it starts to grow back? Thank you! —R
  10. I don’t know much about HnW. What I do know is that there have been patients that have been less than satisfied. I looked hard and long but could not find a Dr. Konior patient that wasn’t happy with his/her results. As I said, I am not a spokesperson for Dr. Konior. I was simply sharing my experience hoping someone would find it helpful. So far, I have been extremely pleased with the entire process Before I chose Dr. Konior, I had a consultation with a prominent doctor whose name pops up on this forum quite often. I asked him “If you were to have the surgery who would you go to?” Without hesitation, he said “Konior, no doubt. He is an artist.” That statement prompted me to make an appointment with Dr. Konior and travel to Chicago for a consultation. He is a very honest, straightforward person and I felt very comfortable with him. All that said, I had about 3500 grafts over two days, and I am 3 days post-op. As they say, the proof is in the pudding. Hopefully, I will be this happy 6 months from now.
  11. I do agree with your statement. I have seen enough pictures to have an “educated” idea about the subject. What I can tell you is that his results are almost always amazing. I hope I am not the exception. Also, I had a very personalized experience. I wasn’t just another patient and it wasn’t just another process. I had a two-day procedure and Dr. Konior was there the entire time and performed all the work himself. To me, that’s valuable.
  12. Just a disclaimer....I am neither paid to promote Dr. Konior nor am I an online representative of his. I just had my surgery with him. He is AMAZING. I am 3 days post-opand you can barely notice that I have had a major surgery. Apart from his skills as a surgeon, he is a fantastic human being. He is what all doctors should aspire to be like — nothing he does is about him, the focus is 100% on the patient. Yes, he is very expensive and the wait is long. I had to wait 15 months for my surgery. But at the end, I sincerely believe that it was well worth it. Best of luck.
  13. Thank you. But I want to be somewhat educated about it. Any suggestions? What should I ask ky doctor?
  14. Hi, Going in for a consultation with one if the “top” doctors. What do I need to know and what do I need to ask?
  15. Thank you all for your input. It seems like many have had multiple surgeries, which is something that I really don’t want to do.
  16. Razzy, Excuse my ignorance but why did you have 3 surgeries and 7700 grafts? And if you were to go in for the 4th time, who would be your surgeon?
  17. Thank you so much. It’s not easy to pay around 20k for a cosmetic procedure, but I figured it’s an investment in myself. I, like anyone else here, want excellent results. It seems like everybody who has gone with Konior is pretty happy. I am yet to come across a less than happy patient. However, most of Rahal results are very impressive.
  18. Hi, I have narrowed my search down to Konior and Rahal and I really can’t decide between the two. Please help. Thank you.
