  1. Ok just scrolled through all 90 pages

I got these screenshots to show wong since he asked about what Dr Barghouthi results were so far. From what I read it appears the second trial happened about 6 months ago so we are still waiting on updates for that one over the next 6 months and the third just began. Hopefully this is enough to perk wongs interest and we can do another trial from Wong on me this December. I’m getting lower on donor so I would want it injected everywhere. Haha

Go back a couple of pages, it’s revealed that the areas with verteporfin regrew a percentage of hair back. It’s hard to know the exact amount since that was the first study and the follicles weren’t counted beforehand.

Are you talking about the video with Dr visage where they discussed the photo? Based on that it seems he was suggesting there’s too much noise in the signal to noise to really attribute that picture to verterporfin and then the trial by Stanford was done on mice

  3. Im talking to Dr Wong now about potentially running a trial on me for my touch up procedure using verteporfin. He asked me if Dr Barghouthi has seen positive results so I mentioned the trial just began with the surgery a couple weeks ago or something and we will be waiting to see preliminary regeneration around 3-6 months post op.

i believe there were other trials that were mentioned in this thread where doctors showed positive regeneration?
is anyone able to refer me to those links so I can share with Dr Wong?

It would be great if we could get him interested in performing a trial on me as well

  4. I would say so this is after dutasteride 50-65% of days along with hair transplant in hairline and a 300 grafts in the crown so the most noticeable affect of dutasteride regrowth has been in the outer borders of mid scalp. For my next surgery I plan to focus on grafts inside the red section

If you don't wash often, use xyon 1x per week. It is safe to leave in your hair, but it might get greasy. You can use volumizing powders to counter the greasiness.

I hope you document your journey here. It's always interesting to follow. I think using it 1x per week is essential in the beginning and then slowly building up.

Wouldn’t you not be getting enough of a dosage that way? Considering leaving it in for 8 hours on a single day is enough for that days dose to get in there. It would start decreasing at the regular half life after that and ready for another dose the next or second next day

IMO there's no point to get transplant without verteporfin. Killian used  50mg megadose, and there are no side effects. At worst even if it doesn't regenerate hair/heal without scars, you won't face sides, and will lose only some money.

Maybe I can see if Wong would be willing to experiment on me with it since I had a successful surgery with him already and he has approved me for another surgery and knows I am getting lower on donor

A bottle of xyon dut is only 130 dollars and lasts for three months? Is this correct? I am on the xyon topical finasteride and a 3 month bottle costs $297.

Whoops my bad yeah i got the number mixed up. I had a brain fart. I had the number 130 in my head cuz that’s the monthly cost for dutasteride, not the entire bottle which is $390 or so I believe.

  8. The bottle of Xyon dutasteride is like $130 and lasts 3 months which comes out to $43/month so if you want it to only be only about $20/month you’d have to use it only every other day but that would be less effective. However they are upfront purchases for each bottle so it would be $130 every 6 months

    Hey guys

I want to prepare to use Vert in a FUE procedure. I am convinced of its efficacy, but even more its safety profile, it is about as safe to use as any medication could be, its intended use is to be injected into EYEBALLS for macular degeneration so I think all should be okay haha. and even if I get only as low as a 10-20% regrowth rate I will still be happy although my expectation is much more than that. I have a three-step plan to do this:

    1) buy generic verteporfin online from an online pharmacy. or visudyne if i could get my hands on some.

    2) have it independently tested for purity

    3) begin approaching doctors and request this to be injected into the donor at the end of an FUE.

An additional step i may take is marking out a small area i.e 1cm squared, counting the follicles in it and counting further down the line how many are there after the procedure to test regrowth rate .

I hope I do not hit too much of a roadblock at no.3 but if I show the safety profile of this drug as well as the further chemical testing for peace of mind as well as offer more money(the most important part), I think it should be very possible to find a doctor who is willing to inject it at the end of the FUE. I understand that the worst case is that I have spent an extra couple of Ks with nothing to show for it, as long as confidently present this fact to a doctor I think I could get 1 onboard. I do have some questions, however:

a.) how should Vertoporfin be stored? does it need to be kept at a certain temp or is room temp okay?

b.) As I understand it the current dose that looks to be the most effective is 0.4mg per Centimetre squared right? And it was injected directly into the FUE wounds? or equally across each centimetre?

    c) I have read that vert can't be subjected to light as it is photosensitive? Are there any other facts about the handling of this drug that should be known so i can relay this to the doctor.

I am willing to document how this is all panning out if i could get some help answering these questions.

    Thnks

I imagine you’ll find some resistance due to liability concerns. But it will be awesome if you can do this.

Regarding question a, All chemicals and compounds have something called a Materials and Safety Data Sheet. I googled this along with the drug name and came across a couple of what look like online chemical manufacturers or online pharmaceutical companies and they have their own data sheet for the drug and have respective sections for safety, handling and storage etc. Here are the first 2 I saw.

Completely agree here. I wouldn't advice going to Wong as well solely based on the fact that you've stated that shaving your head might be the way to go if your HT's are failures. And Wong places his grafts in rows and columns. Would stick out like a sore thumb if you ended up buzzing or shaving your head.

I haven’t noticed any issues from my transplant with wong regarding placement

  11. I didn’t watch the entire video about some professors fudging some results for papers to publish, but I am aware of the phenomenon. From what I understand of it though, it would typically not be big consequential papers that hold up over time. Academia is very competitive and sometimes in order just to maintain some reputation or to get a better professorship position or more grant money they would have incentive to fudge some results to make the result of the paper seem more consequential. But then it over time, the results of the fudged study would begin to be overshadowed by replication studies that find the opposite results of the study that was fudged, because it isn’t reproducible, because the result that as fudged was never really there in reality to discover.

I am a huge fan of science but this type of culture is systemically bad for science and needs to be fixed.

I don’t know any stats on it, but if I had to guess I would say results being fudged or faked in science would be a small proportion of published papers and that most would be non-fudged. The peer review process exists for a reason.

I can also completely understand why some higher-profile doctors wanna steer clear of Vert or hope to see it fail.

You go to a premium clinic to get the best donor management and to get the best possible results for the least amount of grafts because you only get 2-3 shots at it. With the biggest risk for a HT gone and the ability to keep getting transplants until you're happy with density, who could justify getting a small HT for $20-30K with Hasson and Wong, for example, when you could get a big session with Vert in a GOOD clinic in Tukey, India, Colombia etc for $4-5K. There premium would go completely out the window...

Premium docs will be forced to drastically lower prices, or lose most if not all of their market share to good but drastically cheaper clinics and docs. Only makes it more honorable of any big docs willing to test this as they are not putting profits first but thinking about improving results and patients' lives.

You still have to consider graft survival rate, graft placement angle and design etc so there would still be incentive to go to top clinic

Yes I’ve been saying this for the past year and half and will say it again, this is the cure, dosages and certain things need to be optimized but this is the cure as long as you have 100-200k for a hair transplant 😂😂. Maybe you can get away without taking fin and min as well.

10,000 grafts from Hasson and Wong would be a bit over 80k I believe lol. I’ve already spent like 50k on all this because first 2 transplants were disappointing. Also plan to go back to hw and get more. Definitely been a struggle but I still wish I had more grafts

  14. I actually want some emax veneers too and I came across a hair transplant/dental clinic in Turkey that has hair surgeons and dentists and they do both. Maybe I combine trips haha.

edit: just looked up on here and it seems that clinic is a hair mill. Will definitely be doing my due diligence for this. I’m sure I can find a solid clinic in Turkey for eyebrows that have good reputation for consistency and quality and it will be much cheaper than 16k. More like 2k.  Although I do believe Dauer would be a great option just so expensive.
