  1. Huge improvement from month 4. Looking good and it’ll only get better!
  2. Looks like you’re turning the corner and growth is starting to come in. I had my procedure with Dr. L just about 5 days before you and I’m basically at the same pace. Although I haven’t taken updated photos yet, I can feel the growth when I run my fingers over my scalp. Can’t wait to see what we look like in a couple more months!
  3. As Dr. L explained to me, it’s tiered pricing based on the amount of grafts. However, it does seem like he’s raised his prices. I had mine done in Oct and paid 70 per.
  4. Would be helpful to see the right side for comparison as well. From what you uploaded so far, I can see what you mean in terms of density, but it looks natural.
  5. Without you saying the name of the doctor, I can tell who it is. While I agree the communication could be better, it’s difficult to provide an accurate analysis based on photos when consulting over email. When it comes to the pre-consultation in-person, I agree, it happens very quickly and more questions should be asked by the doctor. While this doctor is extremely talented, if he/she wants to truly manage expectations with their clients, there needs to be more asked during that process. With that said, no doctor will be perfect and sometimes the clients have to engage the conversation to truly convey what it is exactly what they want. Without any pictures, it’s tough to say how much better of a job the doctor could have estimated this ahead of time. On another note, do you still expect to get a HT? Even with an estimate of 7k, that’s a lot of grafts. Since I trust the doctor in questions estimations, I don’t think any other doctor will be able to achieve the density you want with the grafts you have available.
  6. Is 2.5mg the standard dosage to start off at? My doctor suggested to put me on 0.5 to start but no pharmacy can provide such a low amount. 2.5 seems to be available though.
  7. Thanks for your thoughts. What other factors have I not considered? Regarding the surgeons, I’d rather keep it private since they do read here as well. I’d prefer unbiased opinions. Knowing who they are is irrelevant to the topic since the question is based on how to approach surgery given my situation. Having said that, both are well documented in this forum and have great reviews.
  8. I’d rather not mention their names yet since I’m still speaking with both. The comparison is basically the difference between good vs great work on my mid scalp.
  9. To make a long story short, my hair loss pattern is mainly in the frontal and mid scalp, but my hairline and crown are still fine. I’ve reached the point where I know I want to get surgery but now I have the debate of going with the cheaper vs pricier option. I’ve done my research on surgeons and narrowed it down to a few. The cheaper option is around $2.50 and the priciest is $3.80 per graft. Of course, the difference in the price is based on the surgeons quality of work and experience. Now, given that I will only be implanting in the front and mid scalp, the surgeons artistic skills won’t matter as much, right? Artistry really only comes into play along the hair line? If this is the case, then should I just go with the cheaper option and fill in my recipient area to save my wallet? Price isn’t really a concern, but who likes to overpay right? I know that growth rate and over harvesting donor areas are a factor but I think the cheaper surgeon does a good job at both of those as well. Of course, if I need to do further work on my hairline in the future, I could go with the more expensive surgeon who does a better job at creating a natural look. Thoughts?
  10. It doesn’t look too low at all. Looks great in my opinion!
  11. Looks great so far. Any reason why you went with Hassan over Wong? Also do you mind to share pricing?
