  1. Great result. I went to Rahal also and our hairlines came out very similar and completely natural Congrats on having the courage to do it
  2. I'm 15 months out with Rahal, you're going to be so happy
  3. Thanks Ernie, and a big thank you for documenting your journey. Your case put me at ease that I making the right decision going through with the procedure, and going with Rahal. During my consultation in Ottawa I even showed him and your posts and was like " I will take one of those". I also respect your decision in going back for a touch up so soon, why not get it over with as soon as possible.
  4. Thanks guys, can't tell you how important viewing all these forums was in my decision. You get what you pay for in making this decision travel and cost should be irrelevant. I could have gone to a doctor who was 15 blocks away from me who was good, but I wanted to leave no doubt I was making the right decision and that's why I went to Rahal
  5. On October 25, 2016 I had a procedure with Dr. Rahal, I am now 9 months out and can say it was the best decision of my life: I noticed my hair loss started around 27 when I was staring into the mirror realizing I was unable to style my hair in the way I wanted to. I was depressed for a week before i did my research and got on the big 3. I have to say the combination of Propecia, Rogaine, and Nizoral really thickened up my hair and brought some back. Even though the combination worked I was still very aware of my hair, and it only got worse as i entered my 30's. I had a suprise birthday party for 30, and the only thing i could think about was my hair, were people taking pictures, did people notice that my hairline was eroding. By the time 31 came I had a moment of clarity when I realized that I'm going to get a hair transplant. I spent hours combing the forums reviewing case after case to determine if patients had similar characteristics to my hairloss After months I got into contact with Dr. Rahal. His cases stood out to me, especially his excellent testimonials on youtube. The hairlines looked so natural, it was the ultimate in imitation. Long story short 6 months later i was in Ottawa. I checked into the guest house. The only other person was there, who just had a very minor FUE procedure to repair a scar. 12 hours later i was getting shaved by mike the head nurse. He gave me a sedative and I was out like a light. I work up a couple hours later and spent about 2 hours watching TV while the grafts were being placed. I felt ZERO PAIN, I would rather do this again then go to the dentist any day. I spent a week up in Ottawa, that's a long time, but I wanted to make sure my recupperation went perfectly and it did. I live in NYC, and getting on a plane to fly to Canada seemed crazy, but i stress don't even factor in travel to your ultimate decision. 3 Other guys eventually came and we spent the days just chilling watching the world series. The next week was spent in my apartment hanging out taking it easy, so relieved to be back home . The next 6 weeks i wore a hat 24/7, and was pretty open about. I got some news for prospective people NO ONE CARES THAT YOU HAD A HAIR TRANSPLANT. People are supportive, and some times will be very candid with you about their insecurities. It takes a tremendous amount of balls to do something like this. By New years i was hatless with a buzzed head. I'd talk about the scar but i have never even seen it, and my friends tell me there is nothing there. By late march i was styling my hair in away I haven't in years. I was in my office bathroom and looked in the mirror when i had my tipping point. I just started to laugh, it's finally happening/over. The hair has continued to mature and thicken, It's not the craziest thickest had of hair, but for a 32 year single guy it is enough for a girl on the first date to be "Wow you have a complete head of hair, a lot of guys I know are losing theirs" (True Story). My life has completely changed I don't dodge mirrors, I don't think about it six hours a day, I get out there and live my life. A couple words of advice: 1. Stop reading this forums for the 1000 time and get a plan in action, this thing is making you miserable and you have to do whatever it takes to stop it. 2. It really works, we all know bad hair plug guy from the office or your Dad's friend. That's like comparing standard definition TV to a 4K TV. 3. Dr Rahal, I can't thank this man enough from beginning to end the experience and craftmanship was out of this world. If you do not go to this man (Or maybe 3 other top notch doctors) you are making a HUGE mistake. Your local doctor, who gives you the spiel about state of the art technology crap doesn't hold a candle to this man. To do this work you have to be an ARTIST, and this guy is the best in the world in my opinion. If anyone has any questions please fell free to DM, Before.pdf After.pdf
