Your Hair Loss Story

I'll start by saying I've never been completely bald, I would be by now if I hadn't started getting on this early... I started losing my hair when I was 18, in the crown. When I was about 20 my hairline started to go.

Before it got too bad, I went on Propecia (then later generic finasteride) and had 1,100 grafts, FUT, put in the hair line in 2012 and the result looked stunning. About 18 months later the right side of my hairline thinned out as a result of dryness and crustyness... I think I was losing more native hair. Anyway, about a year after that I had another FUT procedure of 800 grafts to just reinforce the hairline... but this time the result was not good (same surgeon, same thing as before); I think the shock loss from the second procedure caused a bunch of native hair to fall out, which was on it's way out anyway. It did provide with a shape and it looked decent, so I lived with it for about 3 years....

Fast forward to this past January 2, 2017... I got an FUE procedure of 2,300 grafts; 2,000 in the frontal tuft and 300 in the crown. Different surgeon this time and the process went so much better and the couple weeks post op went way better. I'm at 4.5 months right now and I've seen some growth but not much (which is to be expected). I'm confident this procedure is going to come out real good. It's already a lot fuller... so here's to having hair!!!
