  1. Melvin - Not this one. I created it first under "results posted by surgeons"...so I want it removed from there. I updated it to "delete" as the subject in that thread. This thread is fine.
  2. When I saw my friend for the first time (after being bald for 10 years), I asked the same - where did you get this wig from . Let's call it a better wig than others. So, for OP, if HT is ruled out, he can try this. Now it's been some time and we're so used to him not being bald, we all forgot how he looked earlier.
  3. Hi All, I have had two consults - One with a rep and one with the doctor himself (both recommended on this forum). I have been on FIN since Feb, 2018. I was told to STOP using FIN one month prior to the HT so only the native strong hair are picked up for transplant. My question is - Is this a standard practice since I have never heard this before and I have been browsing these forums and reading tons of material but never came across this recommendation. Do you guys stop using FIN prior to HT?
  4. Why don't you post pics of yourself rather than people "similar" to you. Hunting the web for other people's pics rather than taking one with your own phone takes more time, don't ya think? You should be glad you were allowed again on this forum
  5. The doc seems right; you can't cover your whole head with 3K grafts. You look great from front and your pics will be awesome. For crown, use toppik. If you could get a FULL head of hair with 3K grafts, there would be no bald person in the world (whole head has around 100K hairs)
  6. I have a friend who wears a hair system (some italian cesare ragazzi) and it looks pretty awesome. Hair should not stop you from achieving your dreams. Many comedians and actors are bald. Post your pics and people here can recommend what might work for you. You have to let go what happened 26 years ago, nothing will come out of it. Think what you want to do going forward. There are time limits regarding such lawsuits, not sure if 26 years will fly with a judge. Also, doing HT on a young person (adult) is not a crime. If you were underage, maybe. But you were adult when you had the HT on your own will, no one forced you.
  7. remember, your hair supply is limited, you can not say after a year - oh my old procedure didn't work out so let me get another one.....when you get another one, your hair supply situation will be more worse. For HT, tread carefully as hair supply is limited and no option of "do-over".
  8. For HT, you need an HT specialist who does HT ONLY. Not someone who removes moles on skin and some HT's on the side. If money is a factor, even 3K can get you somehere if you do proper research. I think you should STOP and postpone your HT and give it a serious thought as to what you want to do.
  9. Have you seen his results? I don't even see a website. How many grafts did he tell you? Are you taking any meds?
  10. I pay 11.09 USD for 30 tablets? what are you guys paying in UK/Europe?
  11. Which doctor? What have they told you? What are your expectations?
  12. I have dermatitis and itchy scalp....one thing keeping me from pulling the trigger on HT. I'm worried that after HT, scalp will be more itchy and the newly implanted hair might fall out.
  13. Aren't the graft implanted too far away from each other or is this normal since a lot of area had to be covered? From what I read, it should be dense packed in front, medium in back and low in crown. My hair loss pattern is pretty much same (probably worse in the back) as OP but I have lot of gray hair too.
  14. I don't think you need an HT at all; yes you have some hair loss but not much and looks good. With HT, your appearance won't change much.
  15. You have hairloss or MPB or baldness...who told you that you're norwood 3?
  16. Why the heck are you getting an HT? You don;t seem to be balding at all.
  17. Can you please share the brand of the soap? Where do you buy it from?
  18. You absolutely don't need an HT. You're not balding from any angle, who told you that you're balding?
  19. Hi Raker - I'm not saying you're old but rather you have very good hair and don't really need an HT (unless you're in the dating world ) Your hair is great as it is. Just better styling/cut will do wonders. Even if you have HT, you might be the only one who notices it. People pay 15K to have hair half as good as yours. I respect your decision to go for HT but try visiting a high end salon as ask for a different type of styling ideas and you might notice enough difference to like your existing hair more. You don't want needles poking in your scalp for no reason (so try other things first just my humble opinion.)
  20. You have pretty good hair at your age. What's your goal? You can use hair fibers on the crown and your hairline seems good...why HT?
  21. Can you tell me how much you pay for the generic clobex? I pay around 125.00 but generic sounds a better option. How did you manage the HT with dermatitis? Did you use it right after HT? Do you have to use it even today?
  22. Why don't all docs use a zig-zag hair line as a standard. The straight hair line in my opinion looks un-natural. The pic is from Dr Alexander's website...I think this should be the standard all docs should follow. Best of luck OP for your growth!
  23. I have an itchy scalp and my dermatologist says it's dermatitis and prescribed clobex (spray) for itch. the doc also prescribed Finastride for hair loss (I went in for the itch, not hair loss). I used all kinds of oils/massage/shampoos etc but the best I can do it keep it barely under control. The area that itches is EXACTLY the area where I'm bald/diffused. My questions is has anyone else done an HT with an itchy scalp/dermatitis? Are there any cases/examples I can refer to? I'm planning on visiting a dermapathologist but also worried about the big spot that the biospsy will leave in the scalp.
