I eat very healthy, exercise 6 times a week, very little alcohol, try to sleep well and take supplements like Magnesium from Bioptimizers (great for sleep), Mike Mahler's Test Booster, MultiVitamin from Legion Athletics and Boron. My Free T is in the high end of the range and estradiol in the low end. Cialis at 5mg daily or the peptide PT 141 (this stuff is powerful for erections) when starting any 5 ar inhibitors might help with anxiety related ED too. Talk to a good Dr about all this.

Thx for this post. My T is low (so is estradiol) and will be trying the above 2 products: Mike Mahler's Test Booster, MultiVitamin from Legion Athletics

@Mauricio - Did you buy Boron separately or is part of the Multi Vitamin?

DHT is only one part of the MPBD problem. According to my readings, another major problem with balding people is the Wnt canonical pathway which do not work correctly. But there are also others problems on other pathway like the BMP or TNF one, also vitamin D, grow factor deficiency ...

For example, DHT destroy slowly the external outer shear of the hair and the altered wnt canonical pathway tend to stop hair folicule to transit from telogen to anagen phase, like deficiency of grow factor, because they negatively impact cell proliferation for the reconstruction of hair folicule between telogen and and anagen phase... it's why I hope adding exosome to AR will help me

I'm in Houston and have visited a Dermatologist, Derma pathologist and they have not told me any of this :)

You need to boost your testosterone. Have you tried maca? You’re free test is really low. Have you consulted with an endocrinologist? I think the libido is correlated to your test levels not the medication.

That's my next step i.e. to meet an endocrinologist.

I have spend enough time with dermatologist and need to move on to an endocrinologist. TRT is something I don't want to do - as you have to be on it your whole life. I recently got Saw Palmetto + L-Arginine but have used Maca/Ginseng/Raw Power :) etc. in the past - All bought from Amazon and they did help to some extent. I'm just not regular with them and sometimes doubt the long term use of such supplements from Amazon.

How old are you? Can you post a picture of your hair/scalp?

What is your body fat %?

Your markers are OK but are unfortunately useless as you took them in the afternoon.

FSH is quite low. You might have a low sperm count. Given that your estrogen is not elevated and that your LH is normal with a normal SHBG I would presume you are over 45 years old, your testis are being stimulated enough to create testosterone however you are on the low end.

You need to re-test your Free Testosterone in the morning. Same for Estradiol, Total T, LH, FSH. Your levels will most likely be higher and even normal tested am.

    Thx for the reply @mustang

  5. Hi All,

After having tried every product on the market, Oral Fin, Topical Min, Hair Elixir, LED Cap, Oils....Saw Palmetto  - pretty much everything available to mankind  -

    I'm NW 7 now.

Oral Fin killed my libido few yrs ago to stopped. Got XYON over the holidays and have used it 2 times - once per week. Libido seems ok so far but mt T -Level is low anyway.

Below are the results BEFORE starting XYON. The doc didn't say anything other than - Yes, got for HT if you want. My issue over the years has been hair fall falling out with the ROOT/BULB. I feel a tiny bump on the head and when I touch it the hair bulb just falls off - sometimes the hair is thick. Doc says is LPP i.e. Lichen Plan Pilaris so I have always wondered if I should do a HT or not with LPP/Folliculitis etc.

Do you guys see anything way off with the results below?

Did you do a testosterone test prior as well?

I just started with my first application on Monday. I'm gonna apply every Monday and Friday in the am and then I will shower in the afternoon before my kid comes back from school. I'm pretty paranoid about the cross contamination.

I put a full pump in a small container and tbh it's more than enough for an entire scalp. A small dab covers a good amount of surface area due to the gel like solution. I literally used 1/10 of a pump on the areas that are thinning so the bottle will last me a LONG time.  I also don't get it on my hair as I part the area I want to apply and rub it directly on the affected scalp areas. None is wasted getting on my hair except the roots.

Yes, Got T-Level and a bunch of other tests done before first application. Will post those soon. Even before applying my T-Levels seem low (I'm 44 and NW7).

I use one pump on my top NW7 scalp and just leave the sides. Let's see how this goes. If it helps gets me even 5-10% regrowth or no further donor loss, I'd be happy. Need to setup a appt with Eugenix.

  7. so I got my XYON and applied it 2 times in 2 weeks..so far Libido is ok ( Did a Testosterone test and my T-level seem low but Libido is ok). I'm going to apply only once per week for 2 more weeks.

Doc recommendation is 3 times per week but I'm reluctant.

    i.e. Month ONE = 1 per week

          Month TWO= 2 per week

Month THREE = 2 per week

I started Xyon's Dutasteride mid May 2023. Got blood work in July, Sep and November. In July DHT went down 30%, then in Sep and Nov went down 40% both times. This means that somewhere between August and Sept it reached steady state. So, it seems it takes between 3 and 4 months to reach steady state. In Xyon's clinical trails they say it reaches steady state at 30 days and that's when they did the serum DHT testing for the 10 subjects. My point is that when they found that 10% average drop in DHT for those 10 subjects, the medication probably hadn't reached steady state.

That could explain why it takes longer for Top Dutasteride than Top Finasteride (which reaches steady state way sooner) to start working. Also, why they found a low drop of only 10% in their patients. If they would have tested their blood DHT at months 3 and 4, the dropped in serum DHT would probably had been higher than 10%

Just wanted to share that with you guys. The good thing is that I already reached steady state and haven't had any side effects.

It'd be interesting, for those of you that are using Xyon's Dut, to test your serum DHT levels.

do you do the test at the doc or labcorp/quest?

Pharmaceuticals cost a billion dollars to test in part because you need to test a large population to weed out natural fluctuation. This is why a study of only 10 people isn't much evidence of anything. The study probably means there is a 51% chance topical dutesteride decreases balding, and a 49% chance topical dutesteride does nothing. There is no money to test topical dutesteride with any degree of reliability--to get a figure any higher than 51%. I suppose my own outcome is even less evidence than a 10 person study. I definitely feel, though, that my libido is 10 times higher on topical dutesteride than it was on .2 mg/day of finasteride pills.

@olmert - How is your experience so far with XYON? Hair and Libido?

    Hi to our great community,

I talked to several doctors and I have been taking oral minoxidil 2.5mg for 3 months. No side effect but I did not see much growth either. All the doctors told me that I might need to take it for the rest of my life. I found there is test for topical minoxidil https://www.danielalain.com/products/minoxidil-response-test-men

Is there any test to see if we are candidates for Oral ones?  Thanks.

Even there is no side effect, but if this medicine does not help, why we need to take it for the rest of life, right?

    Thanks so much.

    Peter

been taking oral min 2.5mg for 6 months - I'm Norwood 7 - absolutely ZERO benefit.

Looking at XYON dut as a final try...

I received my package a few days ago and have just started using the xyon dutasteride; starting oral minoxidil next week

Any update on Xyon DUT? I used FIN in the past and had sides. I'm Norwood 7 and want to give ONE LAST SHOT.

Any update on getting the LPP under control?

You might want to see my recent post - I was diagnosed with LPP a year after having a HT - I basically didin't know it was LPP causing hair loss until a year after i did the HT.  The HT didn't grow great as they implanted into an area of active LPP (maybe frontal fibrosing).  I do have more hair there now but not expecting to keep them more than a year or so longer as the LPP will probably kill them.  If I want more hair I think I'll have to go down the hair system route.

Was your biopsy showing LPP in the front, (frontal fibrosing) and/or middle or crown?

So pretty much I'm a NW 7 now. LPP killed pretty much every hair is less than 2 years. I was balding but it's really accelerated during Covid. I can't take Fin as it killed my libido.

One doc (Dermapath) gave me Doxy Anti-Biotic and pioglitazone (diabetes pill) - There are some documented cases of pioglitazone solving LPP. I took it for 3 months and gave up since there wasn't any change and I'm worried about taking experimental pills causing some other issues. I'm pretty healty other than hair loss so why shove body with meds.

Now, couple of weeks ago I had the urge again to fix my LPP - mainly the scalp itch to be honest - and I was prescribed hydroxychloroquine and Oral Minox so taking that. When I told my parents about this casually they were like - why the heck would you take all these experimental meds :). Again there are some documented cased where hydroxychloroquine helped with LPP.

More than LPP - I hate the scalp itch/redness on top. Used Clobex spray for years but it's not good for long term use. I don't know if I can even use a hair system with all the itch.

Damn that's very very low. I too am worried about the effects of TRT.

But I would defo try boosting it naturally first before going down that route. I'm also going to send you a link to a product called Sigma which Derek from MPMD just released, he did a two hour breakdown on it and it's for people like me and you who don't want to go the TRT route yet.

Thx for all the info man. I'm ok with natural supplements but want to stay away from steriods etc and hopefully TRT...I'm not sure its worth the risk to other areas of the body especially cardiovascular.
