  1. The only thing you'd need to be careful with trico is the practitioners who tell you to your face they won't increase the price of a "touch up" significantly, and then increase it by double. This happened to the one guy I know who had this (I went ht route). At the end of the day, once they have you they have you. It's up to you whether or not to keep paying, but I find it disheartening that some of the places do this. That said, if it's in your price range and makes you happy, roll with it.
  2. Real talk: friend of mine did this and the studio pictures are WAY different. These studios share pics that are in the perfect lighting conditions - they even bring set lights into the rooms to make the picture as perfect as they can with the best contrast and the nice stubbly look. The effect in real life is wayyyyy more subtle. You will still be known as the bald guy, but people will once in a while say "but you do have hair if you wanted to grow it, I can kinda see?".To my friend, that was still worth it, but the photos that they share do not reflect reality. He let me touch his head, it feels bald. The closer you shave it, there will be no difference in feel, but you of course would feel a difference once the stubble starts. Most people don't care though. He's had a new girlfriend and he told me she hasn't even noticed (he still has some stubble on top so I guess it's hard to tell). But it makes him feel good. It does frame the face. If you think it will make you feel good given all this, go for it! He seems happy overall but the pics are very misleading.
  3. What makes me nervous about getting this done is the lack of responses on a post like this. I truly would need to talk to multiple people who have had it done about how their results (crown and into scars) look after a month, three months, six months, etc. Some of the scar work looks great at first, but does it hold up? I hope people who have will help those of us who are still on the fence and that this board isn't only for selling the services with immediate pics.
  4. hi there - i've been considering this option but those reports do cause worry. i came across this post from about 2 yrs ago in another forum about the biocompatible membrane. at the time, nicole responded that it was a great question and would update. does anyone from the temp world have a more insight into this below? it'd be great to see confirmation reports or something that says the membrane won't be broken down while still in the body and that the particles are indeed in the urine/feces here's the copy/paste of relevant post: "Surely if the membrane is biocompatible once the bodys immune system dissolves this membrane then the iron oxides will be exposed to the body.* If the body disposes these compounds via the GI track then they would show up via a feces analysis.* Maybe Beauty Medical could pay for an independent study on this to alleviate genuine concerns on how these temporary pigments are dispersed safely by the body."
  5. To be fair, he confronted some of your contradictions, which you ignored. And I would hope as a provider you would know that people have easy access to your full name and your employment history. I'm surprised you were offended he asked you. I would think every provider here would want to openly disclose that without even being asked, so I'm glad you did because that increases your credibility. So, as an unbiased party, the stalker accusation did seem extreme. I'm a potential client and every time I read this board I get more and more wary of this industry. On paper, it seems like an innovative solution, but it seems just wild out there. The cancer thing especially freaks me out and I don't know if it's true that anyone has concrete evidence of its longer term effects.
  6. hi all, i'm based out in CA and like the idea of trying out temporary SMP first before committing, and i like the results better from the many pics ive seen. however, i think the scar from HT would best be done with the more permanent solution so as not to worry about that fading. has anyone done it this way? pros/cons? would appreciate it. hoping to do it sometime this yr
