  1. I've been on fin 10 years with no sides and have stopped for a few weeks on two occasions - neither time did I experience any change in my body. My brother also took the drug for two years with no sides then stopped taking permanently with no issues at all.
  2. Cheers, I hope so!!! Congrats on your result!
  3. I think those lines appear when the grafts scab up and they 'clump' together. If you haven't knocked them or there was no bleeding then I think you are good! Not sure about the buildup on the skin?? I was a bit excessive with saline solution and got a small build up of white residue at the hairline until I could wash properly. Do you know how many grafts you had into your temple points?
  4. 1 month pics - haven’t bothered with a hair cut yet as I wear a hat constantly lol Shed the majority of grafts. Skin seems to be healthy and scar is looking good although still red in places. If it clears up I’m hoping I can buzz my hair to a #3 or #4 in the future. No major shock loss so far - maybe a few hundred hairs or so in the recipient, and a little in the donor.
  5. We are at the exact same point post op my friend. I'm shedding too but not so much, maybe 40 hairs a day. We also have similar hairlines designed, be interesting to see how the temple points grow in - hopefully dense!!
  6. All the best with your results hittherehair! I'm a couple months behind you. I don't want to raise alarm bells but it looks like cobblestoning scarring has formed in the recipient? Or is that normal for this stage?
  7. Scar still a bit red but looks to be healing nicely. Hoping it will be well covered in all scenarios down the line, if not may get a little SMP into it. The worst part was having to wash and apply polyderm cream onto the fresh wound
  8. Few from after my first proper shower and shampoo. Few crusts at some of the roots remained until the next day when they all came off as I applied a little more force.
  9. I have the same as bennyt89, pretty sure it is just scabs? Not sure about your's Brightidea, they look slightly different, although as others say nothing to worry about.
  10. Hey Windjammer, I also assumed I was a complicated case, but I raised this with Dr Rahal and he didn’t seem to think it was particularly difficult in any way... Previously had 2100 FUE in more or less the exact same area, maybe slightly smaller. Even had similar temple points placed but as you can see did not create any significant difference. All incision angles were in line with the previous so I don’t think any of that will shock out. As for any original hair I’m not sure but quietly confident based on how I reacted to the first one. Cheers
  11. Yeah been on finasteride for approx ten years now. When I had my first procedure I didn’t have any noticeable shockloss so I’m hoping it will be the same case as last time. My hair hasn’t changed at all (at least to my eyes) since I began fin.
  12. Gone for my second hair transplant in the front after the first with another surgeon, left undesirable results. Took the plunge after seeing Ernie's page so anything close to that I will be very happy! Objectives - fortify front of hairline and behind as the estimated existing density was only 25 grafts/cm2 - create new temple points to frame the face Numbers: Single hairs = 277 Double hairs = 1806 Triple hairs = 611 Quadruple hairs = 109 Total grafts = 2803 Total hairs = 6158 Recipient area = 60cm2 Recipient graft density approx 46/cm2 on top of existing (hopefully 70 plus when it grows in) After consultation we were shooting for 2200 grafts but it turned out my donor was stronger than expected (2.1 hairs per graft), so ended up at 2800. I've still got grafts in the bank for FUT and FUE if needed down the line but I'm hoping to maintain what I have with finasteride and PRP. Been stable on fin for 10 years now. Whole process has been world's apart from the last - from communication, the staff, the process, and after care, I've felt at ease the entire way. I'm staying at the Rahal guest house which is situated next door to the clinic and I can't reiterate how convenient this is for ducking and diving in and out of surgery, for follow up appointments to check your progress, and for having the head washed. I've also met a bunch of guys from different parts of the world that I've stayed in touch with, and it was surprisingly liberating and funny to talk hair loss stories sitting down post-op without caring lol. I'm here for two weeks until my sutures are removed so i'm currently working my way through Netflix and the unlimited breakfast food supply, which really makes it good value. Overall I've been very impressed and now waiting for the big finale in a few months time. Uploading my pics so far and will be updating at 1, 3, 6 month etc, please feel free to comment. I'm interested to hear other people's questions or feedback. Cheers!!
  13. I had laser therapy for over two years and it didn't do anything. After that I started finasteride which I responded to fantastically.
  14. Hi, This is probably a stupid question but is it safe to take out of date generic finasteride? I have a pack which is about a year out of date. Can't find new pack after moving house and I leave the country for two weeks this weekend... Cheers
  15. Good luck on the 8th, I'll be right behind you on the 30th!
