  1. It wouldn't surprise me at all that a hair transplant doctor

Would say to you that you may be disappointed with the result ,as I have said before hair restoration is not a panacea for the troubles in one's life real or imagined

It's all quite complicated, but with realistic expectations

It can make a nice positive improvement to the quality

    Of someone's life.

    Hello Mick50,

I completely agree. I have to really learn to accept this. Thanks mick!

  2. Hello gok1025,

Forgot to mention Doctor Dorian in NY. From his picture gallery his results look amazing. He is also on the top 5 or 10 best doctor's list. Check him out.

Again based on your photos I can say you may need more than one approach. That is, a combination of any of these, transplantation, PRP, minoxidil and /or propecia among others.

But talk with a doctor about this. We can only provide info not treat you. Good luck with everything.

  3. Uh huh. See my link below buddy

Link on your profile still pops an error. Not interested anymore. Have a nice day.

The last photos I posted of my HT, I used my webcam. The resolution wasn't that great but they got the point across. So post some pictures with your old camera, I would really like to see them as I'm sure so would everyone else.

    Hello MrMatt,

Appreciate that. Matter of fact I will post my images this week. Will get my neighbor's camera. You know some clinics require high resolution images (although this is not exactly a clinic). But I will submit them. Be honest when you see them though. Thanks MrMatt!

No disrespect to you once again, but I am LMAO at this thread. You do realize that there is a search function on this forum that allows you to search and find the Erdogan patients with their own detailed write-up on their experiences, including pics? If that is too scientific for you, then did you consider using a search engine called GOOGLE?

    Hello mav23100gunther,

Yes I have tried google. But results for Erdogan are somewhat old. Plus I don't so much 'net-surfing' or cyber-surfing or whatever you call it now. Laid back myself. Wanted more updated pictures if possible. But I will be more practical and limit my inquiries to a more logical degree.

No disrespect taken but please be patient with me. I am nervous about hair transplantation so I want to make sure I make a good decision. Always good to hear from you mav23100gunther! Will post my images this week as I told MrMatt. Looking forward to your opinion!

In all seriousness milo, 12 how long have you been on this site ,how many positive reviews have you read regarding Dr Erodogan I bet plenty, like we all have ,yet you want to go in search for a negative one, if you look hard enough you will find one as we all know even the best Docs have subpar results, if that's the attitude you're going into this ,in my opinion you are not a candidate for hair restoration.

    Hello Mick50,

Good to hear from you. Yes I know now. I am just nervous about transplantation, risks and money involved. I am a bit rash in my postings I admit. So I apologize to you and to the few of the other serious gents in here.

Interesting that you brought up my attitude in my approach to hair transplants. Believe it or not, a hair transplant doctor I saw years ago actually told me the same thing. He said that if I go on making hair the center of my life and nothing else my procedure will not turn out right. And that I may be unhappy with the result.

In that regard I thank you for "correcting" me. Just remember that I am nervous about this whole process. I think a big part of hair transplantation is attitude of acceptance. Thank you sir.

  4. Hi,

I'm now 15 days post fue to the front of my head where I received 1600 grafts. I still have significant discolouring to the recipient area. I would describe it more purple than red and it has only improved slightly, if at all.

Is this common and could anyone suggest what I could do to improve this?

    Thanks

    Hello stuboy,

First thing to do is contact your doctor about it. Send him or her pictures of this discoloring. Let me know your progress. Think positive and good luck.

  5. David,

Concerning the harassment we talked about, the 2 members above this post, hsrp10 and stig, have posted harassing comments as you can read. I respectfully ask that as a serious and fair moderator I am hoping you are that you seriously curtail their harassment.

This is the disruption you are complaining about that you mistook is coming from me. As you can see I have not addressed them at all. I am having a conversation solely with you as a mature adult. I want to enjoy this site in peace without any abuse. I would appreciate your fairness in this matter. Thank you.

  6. Echoing what others have said here. While there is truth that cold water may have its benefits when it comes to your scalp (keeping it from drying out, closing the pores, etc.) and is probably easier on your hair than really hot water, it's not something that is going to impact your hair loss in terms of MPB.

I have dry scalp issues, and I know that for me personally, when I wash my hair with really hot water, the scalp gets dried out and itchy, and I tend to have more hair fall than normal. But this is in relation to the hot water affecting the scalp and its ability to support my hair, and not a matter of MPB.

    Hi pkipling,

I am in the same boat. Hot water dries my scalp also. It is definitely from the temperature. Same thing happens in summer. But in winter I need to wash in hottish water since it is winter. It is a rock and a hard place scenario.

  7. Milo,

That's interesting. I don't recall getting any messages from you complaining about anything. On the other hand, I've received several complains about your behavior from others.

Regarding legality, we reserve the right to remove any members that violate our terms of service. All sincere members are welcome to participate as long as they follow these terms and do not cause problems.

My suggestion to anyone that has a problem with Milo's posting habits is to simple ignore his posts.

    David,

Well I do admit I do not understand why you were not able to receive my complaints. I will look into that. It is strange I agree. So far I have respected the terms of service as my posts prove.

I am trying to work with you. But with all due respect you are not willing to extend your hand. I have gotten nothing but resistance from you and others. I am sure you have read conversations of those harassing me and you simply chose to ignore that. That is unfair. A moderator's responsibility is to prevent disruption not let it continue. Again this is said with all due respect, I am stating facts.

I help others when I can and get help. I always thank those who help me. At times I am not able to convey exactly what I think because of the wording. And I appreciate it when someone corrects me.

All I ask is that we work together instead of against each other. I believe it is for the best.

  8. I think Dr. Konior may be my best option here.

Does Dr. Konior have a long waiting list? (rep?) I'd like to put that possibility into motion soon,

    Thanks again

    Hello JWard,

    You are very welcome.

All top 5 transplant surgeons have long waiting lists, including Konior since they are in constant demand. Give the office a call and ask. But I doubt they will give a direct answer. They will ask for photos and set up an interview. It depends on that. It is a process.

Don't worry you will be fine. Good luck!

  9. @milo12 - As you are well aware, your contributions to forum discussions have raised concerns from a number of established members. While I have not personally observed any behavior that blatantly violates our Terms of Service, it's clear that your posts are causing disharmony in the community. If I continue to get complaints about your behavior, your account will be suspended.

    David,

The "disharmony" you think is caused by me is actually created by some members accusing me of being a specific person. Despite numerous attempts at respectfully assuring them I am not, they keep accusing me repeatedly which is harassment. Therefore they are the ones causing the disharmony, not me. I have been respectful with everyone even with those who insult me. My posts prove it.

Proof is in the pudding. Show me posts where you say I am causing this disharmony without anyone starting with me. I can post conversations showing my respect to these same members that insult and harass me non-stop. Not once did I insult anyone as I follow forum rules to the letter.

Many times I complained to moderators about the harassment. But my complaints have fallen on deaf ears and they continue to bother me. I do not understand why. Perhaps you can answer this. Also it is incredible that you ask others to report me yet you do not warn those to stop harassing me. Can you explain that also. I would love to hear your explanation.

I should be given the same respect as anyone as I respect everyone. I do not come here to waste my time. I come to learn and get help. If someone needs help or encouragement I do my best within my ability to help them. If I need help I post a question and work cordially with those helping me.

This witch hunt and harassment is unfair and may be unlawful. I will seek advice in this area because I feel my rights are being violated as I am constantly harassed and nothing is done about it by forum managers. I wish it did not have to come down to this. I enjoy this site. But a few members will not stop harassing despite respectfully asking them to stop. And despite respectfully asking the moderators to help me.

  10. Thanks for your estimate. As I stated, I'm a concerned about shockloss to the surrounding hair.

Would most doctors elect to entirely "fill in" a primary section or sporadically place grafts around my existing hair?.. (most of those being transplants from my previous surgeries)

There are doctors that can actually fill in the gaps. From my research Feller and Konior specialize in that area. Check them out and see for yourself if these doctors suit you.

  11. Of your list I can personally recommend Gabel, he did two of my three transplants, super professional and personable, cares about his patients, has competitive pricing for a top tier surgeon, and was trained by Dr. Konior, who is a very well respected physician and Gablel by extension is as well, and Gabel has of course in his own right become renowned for good and consistent work.

PM me if you want to chat about my experience more personally.

    Heelo speegs,

I did not know Gabel was trained by Konior. In that case I do agree that from the list he would be the best doctor for the job.

  12. Hello mav23100gunther,

I forgot to tell you that the armani clinic requested that I ask them questions by phone. Do not know why or what not. But I will follow up nonetheless by phone and see what answers I get from them this time. It should be interesting though. But $20,000 for a procedure?? Insane stuff if you ask me. I can get a good car with that amount of bread.

Anyway thank you mav23100gunther for all you help so far. Hope to speak with you soon my friend.

  13. Hello mav23100gunther and other gents,

Below is a condensed version of the responses I got back from armani's clinic in Beverly Hills.

    1) Regarding the high number of transplanted grafts, some warn that high grafts of 100/cm2 may create shock loss. What do you think?

    >>> This is based off of the skill of the clinic and the physician performing the procedures. We implant 70-75 per cm2 for normal patients as more would be a waste of grafts, celebrities would need 100/ per cm2. We do not experience shock loss at our clinic

    2) Can I request FUT instead of FUE? It appears more follicles survive under FUT than under FUE which creates more density than FUE.

    >>> No, we do not perform FUT as this method is outdated, painful, leaves scars, and will damage your donor region. This again is incorrect. This would be correct for a clinic that does not perform FUE, then their yield rate would be a lot less. We can harvest over 4,000 FUE grafts in one single session and our yield rates are over 95% that grafts will take and grow. We have been performing the FUE method since early 2000’s, no other clinic can perform the FUE procedure, density, artistic design, and graft count that we perform daily

    My thoughts:

What bugs me is they transplant 100 grafts/cm on celebs but not on regular joes. Regardless of shock loss risk, what is the difference between a celeb's scalp and a non-celeb scalp that celebs get more grafts?? Are their scalps endowed with special powers the average person lacks?

As for FUT vs. FUE I do not have enough info to say for sure that FUT is outdated. Reputable clinics still perform FUT although transection rates over the years in FUT have reached the level of those in FUE. Maybe someone may shed light on this.

Let me know what you gents think. Thanks!

  14. There, you are doing it again. You say a transplant that failed to achieve an expected, dense enough result. That's insulting to someone who had a procedure that met expectations, and the expectations were kept in check that a dense result is not possible for many. Transplants create an illusion of density, not the super thick density of teenagers. A higher NW with an average donor is unlikely to ever have enough grafts to achieve that 100 grafts per cm density you are chasing. I have personally used about 4,500 total grafts on just my frontal third to restore my hairline and temples. I am over the moon and never expected perfect density in my misdscalp and crown, because that wasn't the goal, and I refuse to use all my remaining lifetime grafts now trying to chase that. It's insane and unrealistic. Yet you go and say it's a procedure that failed to achieve an expected dense enough result - what the hell are you talking about??? I look 10 years younger and have an age appropriate hairline that frames my face. On contrary, my transplants changed my life and surpassed all my expectations. In addition, I still have a couple of thousand grafts in the bank to chase further hair loss in the future. Same with David, his results look great, and we have no idea how many grafts he has left - yet you go and insult his procedure by saying it's not dense enough? Are you out of your mind? In addition, you really want to go get 100 grafts per cm placed into existing hair in your midscalp and crown? That's absolutely insane.

    .

    Hello mav23100gunther,

No, no, you got it wrong. When I said “a transplant that failed to achieve an expected, dense enough result” I did not mean that towards any person to whom I asked. It was said in general as a way to help you understand the POSSIBILITY of less density from an initial transplant and what may be options for that. Note that I said the ‘posibility.’ It was not meant to offend anyone in any way if you thought that. I truly respect everyone here (except the trolls) because as I said we are all in the same boat and need to help each other. No one here is better than anyone be it by race, color, sexual orientation or hair density. Be totally rest assured that I am here to help others when I can and get help being respectful of others.

You said “Transplants create an illusion of density, not the super thick density of teenagers.” Sadly I come now to realize this truth and what I thought possible with transplants. When I read about doctors who claim to transplant 100 grafts per cm it gives me hope that I may achieve that same teen density. But that is not reality. Doctors like to paint a surreal picture and market you the moon. I really thought it was possible to create teen density. This is why I ask questions to get as much feedback to help me in my quest. That is how concerned I am about my hair. I know you can fully understand.

mav23100gunther you have helped me a lot. I hope this misunderstanding was just that, a misunderstanding, and that I was able to explain myself with respect to you and others as clearly as I could without any misinterpretation. Sometimes it is hard to express yourself in a way to make others understand what you are trying to say. Sometimes we cannot find the right words we want to convey perfectly. I get stuck with that sometimes I admit.

I thank you for your continued support and help. Reach out to me for anything. Good luck my friend!

    ,,,,,,,,,,,,,Edit.......

mav23100gunther,, I forgot to mention that armani responded to my questions via email. Do take a look. Thank you.
