  1. Hi all, 12 months ago I had an FUE transplant on my hairline. I was happy with the results up until I realised my original hair loss hadn't stabilised (a common mistake I know) Anyway, now I have started a minoxidil regime which I am sticking to the best I can in a hope to thicken the hair behind my hair transplant so it blends in and makes my hair look even. (already used Propecia for over 12 months) My question is im now nearly 4 weeks into the regime and seeing daily shedding. I was wondering if I shaved my head to a number 1 guard and kept it like that for a few months would my hair look a little more natural albeit short? Would my hairline stand out more because of the FUE as opposed to my natural hair. I'm in a downward spiral and need a way out! Thanks in advance Jay.
  2. Thank you all for your very informative answers. Hi Matt, Naturally straight, I think i'm in the same boat as you, definitely look neater with a shorter cut. Thanks for getting back to me Regards
  3. Hi all, I had FUE roughly 7 months ago on my hairline and surrounding areas. I've enjoyed satisfying results thus far and enjoyed the change in lifestyle that has come with it. I just have a couple of questions; Firstly, my hair still seems over curvy, and wiry. Is this common at this stage? and how long will it take to look a little more natural. Is it advisable to grow it out or keep on top of it in the forms of haircuts? Secondly, just wondering what stage I'm at regarding thickness. I'm happy so far, but hoping my hair does thicken up as I time goes on Thanks in advance & all the best,
  4. Hi pkipling, thanks for your reply. I've never actually used Nanogen, so this will be a new routine for me. Nizoral I have used before on a limited basis. I just didn't want either of those products to be considered too "harsh" to use on newly transplanted hair. I'm hoping to see my surgeon soon, so i'll ask the correct questions then. Anybody else with any input would be great Thanks, J
  5. Sorry forgot to mention, Also looking to re-introduce Nizoral once every 3 days. Need some advice on whether this advisable at my stage too. Thanks, J
  6. Hi all, Tuesday will see the 1 month milestone since my FUE. For the last 2 weeks I've been using baby shampoo to wash my whole head as per instruction from my surgeon. My plan is to move onto Nanogen as of Tuesday (4 weeks post op). Can anyone foresee any issues with this? Thanks in advance, Jay
  7. Slaven Bilic's hair is coming along nicely since his transplant.
  8. Hi all, Update: After 3 days of gentle shampooing the majority of scabs have come off. I still have some quite tough patches, but I'm sure they'll be off soon too. Thanks, J
  9. Hello AB, Thankyou for your input. I have just had my second wash on my frontal zone (recipient) and removed quite a few more scabs which is good news. A few (not all) did contain some strands of hair. Is this something normal? Best regards, J
  10. Hi, I also suffered pain from my donor area post op up until about 10-12 days then it subsided. My doctor gave me Co-codamol which helped massively. Thanks, J.
  11. Unfortunately it's a little late for that in my journey!
  12. Hello Doctor, I was instructed to wait 14 days before washing my recipient area (which is today) Earlier, I did my first wash. I was as gentle as possible, using warm water and baby shampoo. A few small scabs washed off and now my frontal area looks a little clearer. I also noticed some larger scabs fall out with hair in them, I've read this is normal. Hopefully nothing more sinister. Some of the scabs are still quite hard so I left them be, I will wash again the same tomorrow. Best regards, J
