  1. Thank you so much for posting this. I've been considering Dr Laorwong for a long time and so watching your progress will be really helpful. My first impressions, the work looks amazing. Both the donor and recipient areas look really clean. It's early days for you but if it helps, my donor area looked pretty rough and my recipient area didn't look as good as yours and I'd rate my final result a solid 7. I used a different doc. but if initial impressions are anything to go on I think yours is looking excellent. I really like your hairline shape too! Please keep us posted as I look forward to seeing your homerun result. Marcus
  2. Me too! and any issues with shock loss with your native hair at the front?
  3. Outstanding work Dr Path! I've been a fan of your work for a long time but I've heard you're less involved in the surgical process these days. Would you be willing to share what a patient could expect undergoing FUE with you and your team? Who performs extractions and who places grafts? Do you physically perform aspects of the surgery or do you oversee a team with techs performing extractions and implantations under your supervision? Again, great work and I'm a huge fan! I'm searching for a doc for hairline repair at the moment and a high level of doctor involvement is important to me.
  4. I'm in the same boat. Feriduni was popular when I first started researching HT's back in 2016. I ended up choosing another doc for my first HT but I could use a second pass and Feriduni is high on my list. I had an online consulation with him last year and he was honestly the nicest medical professional I think I've ever met. As an example Gasthoerer's crown and hairline work is outstanding; but I agree, it would be nice to see more recent work from Feriduni. I think his donor work, or the work of his team on the donor area is among the best in the business and his hairlines are very natural looking. I'm a big fan but with so many recommendations for Bisanga I can see why people continue to choose him.
  5. Thanks for this man. I think having the doctor in the room throughout is pretty good.
  6. The work looks incredibly clean and overall I think this looks outstanding. I'm looking for similiar work (graft numbers etc) and so I'll be following your progress with interest. Please keep us updated regularly and happy growing!! Oh, and I was having this discussion on another thread. How involved was Dr Laorwong in the process? In his email correspondence with me he said he performed all the graft removal himself with the assistance of a tech and then he implanted grafts, again with the support of his techs. Was this your experience?
  7. These might be comments for another thread but I think they relate to the OP's question. I think it's hard to base a decision on the technique the doctor's use. Although, intuitively stick & place seems like the approach that is safest we've seen some outstanding results from docs that use DHI or other techniques and most don't do stick & place. It also seems to me like some of the top docs, those with great results do very little actual work. They rely on techs to do much of the heavy lifting and this has always concerned me as you don't know if the techs you're working with have truly been with the doc for years (as they always say) or if they accepted the job last week and you are patient number 1? The doc just comes and goes to take a look from time to time. From my understanding, Dr Laorwong does all of the graft removal and places grafts with just one assistant. That's pretty good from my perspective, given that other docs do so much less. I've always thought graft removal during the FUE process was the most important aspect followed by implanting. And things go wrong when techs use old school forceps instead of KEEP or implanters. If Laorwong is doing as much as I described, I think he's a pretty good match for HLC. I'm not advocating strictly for Dr Laorwong in this case, I like the work of HLC and I think it's a tough choice. I just think making a decision based on technique is difficult because the experts in the industry all do different things. I like both Laorwong and HLC because both outftits are far more hands-on than others. For those of you that went with name docs that rely on techs, H & W, Bisanga, De Freitas and Feriduni, how did you make the decision and what factors did you consider? Did you base your decisions on reputation, how much work did the doc actually do? If the OP is new to this process, your perspectives would be helpful.
  8. Looks amazing!! Thanks for coming back with the update.
  9. For sure, but look how far you've come already. Congrats!!
  10. Yes, an update would be great. How is this coming along?
  11. Here it comes!! I'm interested to learn more about Dr Ferreira's approach. How much work does he do personally and how much work do techs do? Does Dr Ferreira remove all grafts from the donor area and make all incisions? Do techs then implant?
  12. Couto's work looks great to me. I know it's been a long haul, but I think you'll be really happy with the final result. Second passes by good docs often make all the difference in the world. Even though your previous HT didn't meet your expectations, it likely provided some base level density that will make Couto's work look great. I look forward to seeing your growth in the coming months. I bet you'll have a fantastic outcome!
  13. And given what we know of crown growth, this might be a premature question, but how's the crown at this point?
  14. Any updates? I'd really like to see how this is progressing.
  15. I think you'll be really happy with the final result. Please keep us updated with regular pics
  16. I think this looks amazing for under 4 months! Please keep posting so we can enjoy your progression and final result with you!
  17. Just outstanding! Did you experience any shockloss around the hairline? As I think about similiar surgery, loss of the already transplanted hair in my hairline is probably my biggest worry
  18. HTjon, would you be able to post a pic with your hair pulled back so we can see the hairline? Either styled or held back with a comb. I'm seriously conisdering repair work with Dr Feriduni for many of the reasons you described in your intitial post but I can't see to find too many recent surgeries on here for comparison.
