  1. A while back I was toying around with the application of essential oils to promote hair growth. I only applied the oils 3 or 4 time but had to stop the experiment when 2 pimple like red spots appeared. Those spots grew and the skin around them appeared red and burnt. Worst of all, the hair in those areas had completely shed forming 2 quarter sized bald spots and remained this way for over 6 months. Eventually, I decided to go see dermatologist who prescribed me some cortisone+antibiotic type cream. I applied this diligently, and within 2 weeks all the redness was gone. As the months passed by I began to notice that the hair has regrown in those two spots and is significantly thicker than the surrounding hair. Anyone ever notice anything of the sort ? or am I imagining things....
  2. I'm about 7 months into my FUE and I have noticed this same phenomenon. I count at least two or three hairs like that. Much thicker than surrounding hair but stuck at the same length since at least month 3. This is my second transplant, the first being an FUT, where I did not notice anything of this sort. I tried seeing if I can pluck them easily, but they seem very solid. Makes me think they are just slow growers rather than dead all together.
  3. As a multiple hair transplant recipient, I wonder sometimes what would happen in the event of a cure. We all know that when grafts are placed there is a great risk of transaction and this is probably even more true regarding dormant hair follicles that even the most skilled of surgeon s is unable to identify. Now while hair transplants do provide some fairly natural results, we can all agree that nothing compares to the real thing. Let's imagine now a different reality where that miracle pill hits the market. I wonder how much scarring etc, will affect the results. How will a transplant veteran compare to your common bald man.
