Would it be advisable to just pursue a revision using a trich closure, seems a lot cheaper than FUE and could attain a much better scar, perhaps not quite as good as a few rounds of FUE into it, but better than it is now... Any thoughts?

Yea that is what I've come up with too over the year or so of reading this and other forums daily. I consulted with Feller, who suggested a small amount of FUE would be my best bet (something like 50 grafts). At this point I'd be ready to pull the trigger as the risk of further scarring is very minimal. My only concern is payment, I'm only 21, and my parents would likely have to at least help with the procedure. With that being said I realize that $8-10/graft is the industry standard, but some clinics require minimum fees, understandably. However the dynamic of my situation changes considerably b/c if I had to pay a minimum fee of $1500 for a measly 50 grafts(equates to $30/graft), I find that much harder to justify (all things considered I have no REAL problem here). I've wondered if some clinics would waive the minimum payment, as my surgery could likely be done on the same day as a larger session. I believe B-spot from Shapiro said they would only charge on a per graft basis, and even with as good of work they're doing, it'd be tough to get my parents on board to fly me out to the middle of the country (I live in NJ, go to school in Baltimore, MD) for what they think is unnecessary procedure anyways. So at this point I'm just further assessing my situation, seeing if Rogaine will help zap the last few hairs into maturity, and go from there. Sorry I'll be more specific. The scar is actually a non-transplant scar from an injury where I needed some stitches. I'm exploring the opportunity to put some FUE in the scar. The hairs that are struggling to grow are natural hairs that seemed to have been disrupted by the wound healing. Some hairs appear to just be immature and thin, while others look like they're struggling to break thru the skin. I tried to attach a photo but they're too big, any help there?

I have a scar that is just over a year old and there are hairs that look to be struggling to still grow right next to the scar line. Some of these hairs are grown in but look very immature (very fine comparatively speaking). Is there anything that will help speed up their maturity and/or help them break thru the skin and grow normal. I'm on propecia but was wondering if rogaine applied to the area may speed up the process or any other topical treatment/supplement.

Are there any shots of this guy's donor region where the hair came from? I'd like to see how noticeable if at all the scarring is

At that length of hair(I'm guessing less than a #1), how many grafts do you think you can take out before noticeable gaps(scars) are left behind, preventing the patient from sporting that look? I realize this is probably dependent on the tool, donor density, donor characteristics etc., but on average what would you say? I asked because I have a small scar I'd like to get filled in and have consulted with you (Dr. Feller) and estimated about 100 grafts would suffice. That is the length hair I'd like to be able to sport, although I'd prob wear it a little longer. Thanks

Also, it's been about 9 months since I got the scar, and it still seems like hairs are sprouting underneath the scar line a little. How long do you think it will take until all the hairs that are still there will make it through the skin and mature? A few years?

The scar is linear, front to back. I'd like to disguise it enough to wear my hair at a 2 guard. I don't want to risk possible worse scarring in any case. I've consulted Dr. Feller about FUE and am considering it. You can see a picture on another thread. If I went through with the repair using FUE grafts from my donor area, spread out, would it be reasonable to expect a result that is undetectable at a very short length (#1 Buzz - Jason Statham look)? I know this is dependent on my physiology, lets just assume that I am an average healer with average density and fine hair. Any help is great.
