So very true, forums such as this are really antiquated, it's still being used as it has probably the biggest repository of results that can be found anywhere. The list should be only viewed as a guide to "some" good or elite Dr's, it is not a all encompassing list either, some very good choices are not included. I think it has more than a fair few Dr's who shouldn't be recommended in 2024, but that's just my opinion. Double edged sword though as other ways of advertising Dr's can be pure marketing, and therfore can't be trusted either. What works? Trawling through every medium you can find and making you're own mind up!. I have learned that a Dr can live of past glory, and/or not move on with the times, like a lot of Dr's still only focused on FUT (In the US particularly) Here in the UK we now have some relatively new names being mentioned, doesn't mean they won't prove to be a very good Dr within time, some may already be.

I am a "anonymous" senior member, who's been here about 12 years, seen 1000s of procedures and that was just my own opinion/thoughts. Definitely don't take mine or anyone's speculation on just how many grafts this might be though. Get another Dr's opnion, preferably in person of that's at all possible. I stand by my guesstimate that's its less, I also agree that the Dr's reply was inadequate since you asked specific questions and they were not answered. Personally I think you're concerns are valid, but I'm just a self professed armchair expert in the penaut gallery it seems.

This is particularly impressive for such a early stage!

3 strips taken on one procedure 😳 no that's far from usual. The 11 hours would usually indicate more than 1700 grafts for a FUT, but considering there was multiple strips taken and extra time needed then it's very difficult to ascertain how much time was taken for each step of the procedure. I agree that it's possible to get a very good idea of the grafts implanted via GIMP, but it's not going to be 100% accurate. Another Dr would perhaps also be able to say how many grafts might have been implanted. I'm unsure, but will say I definitely don't think it's 2700 from what I can see.

Density Issues After 9 months
Britanium replied to sfconsultant's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
You're hair should still improve (thickening) right up to 12 months, sometimes even beyond. 2k was a fair amount of grafts, you will still have a lot left in the bank if you do want to go ahead with a 2nd ht. Transplants are very rarely one and done. Have you been updating and communicating with Dr Nader regarding you're progress.? Be interesting to see you're most recent pics. 👍 -

Dr Pitella impossible hair transplant
Britanium replied to mr_peanutbutter's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
I'm on the fence with this one, do I hope it turns out well for the patient? Yes of course, but I have seen cases before when a excess of beard grafts are used that are not so great. Of course we know beard grafts are thicker and usually only singles, but I still think a whole scalp of them isn't going to be naturally pleasing. Dr Pittella is pretty fantastic so let's wait and see. I'm just not convinced yet, and like others I have been very impressed with his work, and how he's pushing the boundaries of what's possible. Is this a step too far? Going to be a interesting one to follow to say the least. -
Dr. Pittella - 11.026 grafts - 45 years old.

@Melvin- AdminI think normal maths has to be thrown out when it comes to Dr Pittella 😂 (Dr Zarev too) They don't compute.... -
I believe it was Este Medical as the OP has also posted his hair transplant thread. And Yeah you was was ripped off unfortunately, very shady to offer anything like that half way through a procedure. Clearly just a upsell to get the most amount of money they can from their patients. Who knows what they really did, they definitely wasn't doing you any favours by offering a huge discount on their so called "Stem cell" treatment...

Anyone used Estherian Clinic ?
Britanium replied to mikedrago's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
No and despite the hundreds of hair mills advertising a certain "Dr" it's no guarantee they A) Are a Dr, B) Actually present, C) Actually do any of the work. A Dr that does good work at the price point you mentioned? Not happening. This will be a totally tech driven procedure and a huge risk. Anything starting with EST or Este is known to be a hairmill. Turkey does have options that are more than fine, even for those on a budget such as Dr Turan/Dr Gur, Dr Yaman and Dr Demirsoy for some examples. Better ones are Dr Pekiner and Dr Keser. Don't budget hunt as it never ends well. You will end up regretting it in the long run. What can happen? Over harvesting, poorly angled grafts, poorly designed hair lines, poor or no growth. Hair mills are just too risky. Keep researching.
