  1. Hey guys!! I am an a 32 year old African American man with a receding hairline. I wear dreadlocks, and I believe that has contributed to the loss, however my mother and father both have large forehead regions and my father has a receding hairline so I also know it to be genetic. Most of my life I simply accepted my forehead as just my natural look, but over the past 12 months or so I have noticed a receding hairline in the corners. It drastically alters my look. A few months ago, my barber recommended bigen and I tried that for a few weeks. However, I noticed it irritated my skin. The next product he recommended was toppik, and I haven't looked back since. However, it wears off every day after sleeping even if I use the hold applicator...I am open to advice and other products, even hair loss surgery although I would not do FUT, FUE only but would hate to cut my dreadlocks. In addition to that my understanding is African American hair is more challenging to extract. Happy to be a part of this community and I look forward to exchanging ideas with you guys. Thank you so much
