  1. No thank you! so verteporfin.org is you then. Cool. Definitely we donate tomorrow. Will be amazing to rush this thing to the next step. If money is all you need, well, this is where all of us frustrated hair loss cure guys are living!!! @Melvin- Moderator have you thought about doing a follow up interview with Dr. B and promoting the webpage to this network?
  2. Dr. B - this experiment, the way that you share the information so consistently and answer our questions - THIS - is how you push forward science and THIS is how we as individuals can make serious progress in hair loss over the next few months - few years. There’s an actual chance that we could be radically improving (and in a far off chance, the stepping stones for CURING our ailments). i looked at the website. It looks great. I will be donating. I will try to encourage others to donate too. This is it. Imagine if we were able to have TWO, THREE weekly results from FUT patients, FUE with different dosages and combinations, maybe you could even enlist other doctors globally to think about this together and collaborate. im 100% donating. I believe everyone should!!!!!!!!!
  3. There are plenty of people who get transplants on scar tissue. This particular patient had a large number of scar revisions done using Vert… the process and protocol used was underwhelming and put a lot of things into question and actually made me doubt Vert for a time - don’t want to spend too much time hating on that case, but had to share…
  4. I was in a text thread with the guy who posted that scar revision - he leaves out the bit about how he had a hair transplant into that area beforehand… I’m very pro Vert and excited to where this can take us, but not excited about that guys posts. Don’t fully trust it.
  5. I was thinking the same thing. For Norwood 7’s, who want get some texture and don’t want to go the SMP route alone, maybe a combination of Vert during extraction, SMP, and SMP later into the scars … I don’t know, seems like a pretty good solution for many who are ok wearing their hair short. Lots of possibilities.
  6. This guy did a hair transplant into his scar - and used vert to supplement it. To me, it isn’t really an example of Vert and it wasn’t really closely monitored. I’ve been ignoring his claims and focusing on Dr. b’s experiment … he’s the only legit player right now Imo
  7. If this thing truly regenerated a SINGLE hair follicle....its only a matter of time.... Seriously....am I missing something? If we can literally regenerate a hair....is there something thats likely stopping us besides time and money? Isnt this the biggest jump forward we have ever seen... If news came out that a hair cloning company (one that has already been given approval to start doing procedures!) came out today and said they can regenerate a few follicles but not all.... we'd be throwing money at them to hurry up and increase their yield %....
  8. There just hasn’t been anything in the hair loss world that has come close to this kind of progress In the last 10 years. i don’t know how to quantify these results. 50% improvement ? To scarring vs regrowth ? are the scars less shiny here or have some melanin? If either are a yes, SMP for FUE scar camoflauge becomes a very different ball game… this is only trial one? I wonder how this will look after 50 experiments … man I don’t know. I’m trying not to get too excited but when I look at this … makes me think a cure is on the horizon. Is that nuts?
  9. Sorry for the double post BUT I think a lot of people didnt realize that it was on instagram vs. youtube given the audio issues - heres the link for instagram for any who want to see it: https://www.instagram.com/tv/CjGenE3v95M/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=
  10. Just watched it on instagram.... WOW! Melvin, I need to ask some clarification points because it sounded like you guys said this, but I am not totally clear on it. 1) Did the say "MOST" of the test area has hairs growing in it? And its not just a few isolated sites? I mean..... if this is true...you know???? 2) Also - he said that there has ALREADY been a 25% improvement to the scarring as of 3 months in? And in the pig study, thats when the healing really began because of the delayed/lagged healing of Vert correct? I've tried to hold in my optimism on this one...but after watching that...i dont know. Its the first experiment and we're seeing such significant results. I cant help but get excited.
  11. Yep… to further that point … I don’t think the only thing people care about is “if follicles regrew” - obviously that is an amazing component but if scarring is significantly reduced, that’s also a huge component of what people desire …. If scarring can really get to an unnoticeable place, you could theoretically SMP over the scars with little to no risk and never worry about shaving your head later in life or even while you have a HT!
  12. I’d like to be able to see what the donor area looks like as as if we were looking at it with the naked eye. I doubt anyone here can look at the zoomed in photos and get a sense of what the scarring actually looks like given that the pictures are taken with a microscope camera - I want to know if it’s going to change the actual scarring profile …. And how it looks to the naked eye … isn’t that generally one of the main points of the experiment ?
  13. When is the next update? Two weeks from Saturday? we really need Dr B to shave the head down with a 0 guard and also take some photos from further away…
  14. Think about it like this - we’re trying for the first time to use this medication in humans (outside of our eyes) to see what the effects will be. We have no idea what the correct dosage, amount of injections, combinations, delivery method, etc should be, but on this very first experiment we may get 10/1000 hairs regrown. We may get 40% better scarring. It may not sound exciting to you today, but it’s very unlikely we get the “best result” on our first experiment. That’s why everyone is so excited… Dr. b is testing a concept, not displaying a cure.
  15. Honestly …. I mean, it has to be healing differently. I have a scar on my chin, it’s white, and there are no hairs growing out of it!!
  16. These results… look amazing! Maybe I’m missing something? are there any zoomed out pictures? That would help tell the story of how much scarring there is - so hard to tell with these close ups
  17. Ok wow… I didn’t really believe it at first but I’m really starting to… this may be a dumb question but.. if there’s a hair growing out of it… then it must mean that no white scar is forming ..?
  18. Doctor - could you please share the zoomed out photos as well with your next release? Thank you!
  19. Thank you Dr! Extremely appreciative for all your communication. * has the patient been shaving his head consistently since the procedure was completed? * could you tell us the schedule for upcoming updates? Would it be possible to include a picture a little further away from his scalp, (assuming his hair is shaved), so that we could perceive what the results look like from a distance in addition to seeing the close up pictures? May be a helpful comparison to see typical FUE scarring (several months out) with the naked eye in addition to the pictures utilizing your equipment * any additional patients or volunteers?
  20. Sorry doctor, just to clarify your answer here - you said “the studies on animals shower better skin regeneration” - do you mean better than without vertoporfin? Or better than human results?
  21. Doctor, I just wanted to take the opportunity to thank you deeply for your efforts here. Even if these experiments don’t work out to something directly productive for the hair loss world, just know that there are many who feel indebted to you for even trying. and on a better note, I hope that this is a complete solution not just for hair loss but for other medical issues (scarring), and that you receive all reward fame and glory that life can offer!
  22. @Melvin- Moderator what’s your feeling on this so far? Since you did the podcast, this seems to have garnered a LOT of attention … to me, this is the biggest breakthrough that we’ve seen in …. Well as long as I’ve been around! Even 50% enhancement in scarring (which seems to be where we are right now, at this snapshot in time) would be groundbreaking … would you agree? Dr. B is an amazing man. Id be happy to provide financial support for future test subjects or anything related moving forward. Honestly I’d be happy just sending him some money as a thank you!!!!
  23. Whats been the general consensus on this? If you stop Minoxidil, oral or not, do the baggy eyes and droopy skin relieve themselves? Or is this something that just kind of "sticks" for a while?
  24. @Melvin- Moderator your results are fantastic! I’ve been a member of the community for close to a decade and have seen you since before you ran the site / if anyone deserves solution this complete it’s you congrats! I am a norwood 6/7 with some retrograde with a (relatively) similar pattern to you and a (relatively) thick beard as well. I did an SMP treatment years ago because I always keep my head buzzed with a 0 guard (and I’m happy!). But now that my hair loss is basiiiically setting in completey, I don’t like the SMP without the texture. SO, I wanted to ask - is all your hair on top transplanted at this point? Because even if I can get a third of what you’ve gotten, with the (minimal) scarring you have, I think it would be a perfect solution for me. Just to get a little texture on top. I can maybe get away with using only beard/body just to get that 3D look around my head. It totally makes the SMP way more believable just to have some. anyways… is it all transplanted? Should i talk to Dr. Sethi? Dr. Mwamba and Umar have both told me that 4K grafts spread around my head, whether it’s beard body or scalp would Be enough for me (even as a full Nw 7) to make the SMP realistic. Would love to know your thoughts enjoy life!
