  1. Propranolol ruined me. I have no history of familial hair loss, yet I started to lose my hair drastically after beginning the drug to deal with anxiety. I took several times a week for close to a year. Stay away from that shit.
  2. Coming up on 5.5 months and my right side is extremely sparse and lacking. See the picture. I'm pretty disappointed to say the least.
  3. I just got my first professional haircut 5 months and 7 days after my HT. Before I just did it carefully myself and didn't go near the recipient zone. I told the barber to not mess with the temples because "they are thinning" I said. Well, he kept combing very hard through my head including in the recipient zone. He had a very fine tooth comb and he was pressing so hard and fast that it actually was a little painful. My scalp still feels a little numb 2 hours later. Any chance he could have stunted or halted the future growth that should be happening in the next two months?
  4. See the attached picture. I have been on proscar for 5 months and hair on head is still falling (seems like more). Today I ran my hands through my legs and 12 hairs came out! Now, Everytime I do it at least 3 hairs. A slight pull on the arm hair yields similar results. The same seems to go for the eyebrows too. Is this the Proscar? This has never happened before. The picture is after running my hand through my leg once.
  5. Ok, so I had my transplant on December 29th with Dr. Erdogan and was only given a four months supply of Proscar. I was a little disappointed because I see many guys on the forums who get a whole years supply. Today, I ran out and to get a refill at the local drug store, it is $160 for 30 tablets. Due to my current funds, I cannot afford this. I still have a 4 month supply that was prescribed to me by my dermatologist prior to my HT in December that I have not yet used but it is the generic version of proscar. The reason that I want to stick with the name brand is because I have not suffered any side effects that I can notice yet. My libido is through the roof! I don't want to start taking the generic and then things change. I haven't noticed any improvement in my hair but it has actually gotten worse. I want to stick with it for at least a year and see how things look. I just wrote Erdogan and asked if they could mail me 8 more months. Hopefully that will work. What do you guys recommend? Should I start the 4 months of generic that I have?
  6. My mistake!!!!! He says 2 months!!! I has 5 months for the shaving of the recipient area. My fault guys!!!!
  7. I am 3.5 months post op and want to use toppik in the recipient area. Erdogan says don't use toppik until after the 5th month mark. What do I do?
  8. Depends on the doctor. Very fue doctors can achieve FUT like yields via fue consistently, but there are a few out there. I say fue is better. I saw a guy at the airport who had his head shaved. Huge scar at the back of his head and you could see where he had hair up front but was bald behind it. He must have continued to lise after his HT. I felt bad for him.
  9. What clinic did you go to? Maybe others can chime in, but I think the grafts could have been placed a little tighter?
  10. I always just had temporal hair loss prior to my HT with Erdogan and no history of familial hair loss. Now, my scalp itches like mad, it is very flaky always and gets greasy and dandruffy right away. I've been taking proscar since the day of my HT on December 28, 2015. Now look at my hair. I've lost hair where it was always strong and dense as a rug. I never itched there. I never lost hair there before. It was never miniaturized. Now it is see through. What do I do? Should I continue proscar and let it destroy my once thick hair? My hair falls out every time I touch it. Or, should I quit? This proscar is not what it is cracked up to be. Is this shock loss? What the hell is going on?
  11. I just told them that I wanted a personal loan. She told me they had to put a reason so I told her to put vacation. The bank didn't push any further.
  12. 2000 grafts will not cut it. You should be thinking around 5000 grafts. I was in the same boat as you in regards to price. I didn't want to skimp on quality but I wanted affordable so I booked a flight to Erdogan in Turkey. I also got a loan from my bank to pay for the procedure. I had 2800 alone just packed into my temples. Erdogan and Demirsoy seem like great docs for large FUE procedures. If you want the best and are willing to pay, go Lorenzo. Flights can be had for deals if you buy months in advance. Plan this out. Don't do anything in haste. If you want the best, go only to the best and you have to up your graft expectations for your loss. 2000 is just not enough. If you want FUT, stay in the US or Canada. If you want the best FUE at a decent price point, look Belgium, Spain, and Turkey.
  13. My donor seems just as thick as before. I can't feel or see any difference. Now, the area between my recipient area is pretty thin because of shock loss. You can't tell in the pic but it is.
  14. This picture was taken today. About 2 months and 5 days post fue. *Note: this was taken about half hour after a hot shower with very dry hair.
