  1. Looking very good so far and still quite early days. I'm having my procedure with Dr Villnow this Friday.
  2. I think the jagged section has merged in very nicely. You see some hairlines that are just way too perfect that it draws the eyes to the hairline. For me a natural look is more important than anything else and it looks like you're on a very good path.
  3. Looks fantastic. That slightly jagged section at the front is something I've noticed from Dr Maras on a lot of his cases. Was this discussed with you? I know a lot of surgeons do it very neat at the front however Dr Maras does seem to favour this technique. Can you shed any light on this? Looks to me like he's done a fantastic job.
  4. How did you come to the decision of that hairline? Was it something you chose or were advised on? The grafts look very good and quite compact so hopefully you'll get very good density. I am just very curious about the hairline as you don't see too many hair transplants with that design.
  5. I think it's all down to personal opinion on the topic of agressive vs conservative. I personally prefer a more aggressive approach. My reason being is that I would rather feel like I've had a more drastic improvement and the fact that it can take 18 months for a transplant result to show so I would not want to do it many smaller sessions because then I may not have my desired result for a few years. That's my own view. A conservative approach can also have its benefits but not for me.
  6. I had the same experience consulting with Dr Saiffi. He estimated 1500 grafts for density whereas Dr Yaman estimated 4000. Massive difference. Dr Villnow is in the middle at 2800 grafts. Also see what the level of consultation is like. If it feels personal and detailed and your questions are answered you may get a good feel from them. As I have consulted with many doctors and for me personally I have found some pros and cons with all of them. Remember these are just my personal views from consultations and research Dr De Reys: pros- good location, very personal and not technician based (his wife is his assistant), very good reputation online, pricing very reasonable Cons - conservative approach if looking for a significant procedure, surgery will take a very long time as he does not have a large team (also a pro depends how you look at it) Not too many recent cases on the forums, a lot of them are from around 2014. Dr Villnow - pros: very experienced, not technician based, very good level of consultation and understanding, online cases look very good, Cons: not very much of his work online, price is slightly higher than many of the Turkish doctors, Dr Hakan Dogonay- pros: price is very reasonable, has some very strong results online, appears to be improving after some poor results, was once regarded as a top class doctor Cons: reputation online was very bad a year ago after some poor results, communication is very short and abrupt, has been known that technicians have been doing most of the work. Dr Saiffi - pros: good reputation online, communication is very good he even called me to discuss my expectations. He was very confident that you do not need a high number of grafts to show density. He says it's all about angle and placement. Cons: personally I prefer a more aggressive approach and higher graft numbers. He wants you to use a laser comb of which I do not believe in. The waiting list is very long and also the price is slightly on the high side Dr Yaman - pros: recommended on here. Aggressive approach to graft numbers. Price is very good for a recommended surgeon. Cons: is technician based, I haven't seen many full 1 year results on here as most of his results on here are very early stages. Communication is slow and I somewhat lost confidence due to the slow nature of the replies. Dr Cinik Pros: price is very very low, some good reviews on here Cons: is a technician clinic with every patient paying the same amount of money. Seems fairly new to the community and not many full 1 year results online. Dr Erdogan - pros: world renowned reputation. Amazing results and consistently amazing results posted online Cons: price is a touch higher than others (but still pretty good) Dr Bhatti (India) Pros: very good reputation online, price very good, a happy medium of graft estimation, does beard hair Cons: a few complaints online from a small number of patients. Also depending on where you live it is very hard to get a direct flight. From the UK I couldn't find a good flight from any London airport. I must stress this is from my own research and my own consultations.
  7. I will be uploading a photo journal on here detailing my progress. Your best bet is to consult with him to see what your options are, talk about your expectations and to see if you are a good candidate. He also does body hair transplantation which can always be an added bonus. Consult with as many surgeons as you can and you might just get a good feeling from one. I researched for over a year the first time round. Consulted with probably 10-15 surgeons and sometimes completely different feedback. One surgeon recommending 4000 grafts and another only 1500. Things can differ massively between surgeons
  8. looking impressive. You must be really pleased so far
  9. My procedure will be carried out by Dr Villnow himself. I will be doing a journal on here too. I would suggest consulting with him. They're very professional, knowledgable and reassuring. But please do not rush your decision. I had my first FUE with Dr Hakan Dogonay with mediocre results. He has some bad press but he does post some solid results. I wasn't one of those results but it wasn't a bad result just a little underwhelming. Expectation is key too. You have to be realistic. A top surgeon should explain to you if your expectations can be met or not.
  10. I'm booked in with Dr Villnow in Dusselldorf Germany this September. Why don't you consult with him. He isn't very well known on here but well worth looking into. People will always tell you it's not about the money and of course they are correct but there is always a limit of what we can afford. As long as you aren't shopping for the cheapest then you'll be fine as long as you do vast research and educate yourself before making a decision. Do not rush.
  11. from what I see you just have some tiny raised dots where the hairs are coming out. Some instances of cobblestoning I have seen on forums is much worse. I have very similar to you and a while ago I obsessed about it and then realised that I was looking at myself from ink certain angles and always in really bright artificial light. I have been combatting it by good styling for now but what I am going to be doing is having a second transplant to add density which should make the tiny dots less visible. I would rather have the tiny dots than pitting so don't be down about it I bet no one would even notice. I had FUE two years ago and only one person has notice the tiny dots and all they said was "have you had a hair transplant?"
  12. I am booked in with Dr Villnow later this year. It will be my second FUE procedure and my first was in Turkey in 2015. You're right there is not an awful lot online about him but I have carried out vast research on surgeons in Europe and although I didn't know much about him I am convinced by what I did see. I had to rule out the really expensive ones such as the likes of Bisanga and Feriduini so eventually narrowed my search down to Dr Villnow and some surgeons in Turkey and India. I consulted with many surgeons. What convinced me to go with Dr Villnow was the confidence given to me during email consultations. The confidence given to me by explaining how experienced Dr Villnow is and how long he has been doing hair restoration. And that he has had the same team for 20 years so even his assistants are veterans of this procedure. Reassurances on shock loss, transaction rates and how meticulous he is on achieving a natural look. Also all my questions were answered in great detail. Punch sizes, grafts per cm, were all answered in detail and when I raised concerns over technicians carrying out most of the work I was reassured that Dr Villnow himself will be carrying out the procedure with the help of his team. Not a technician run clinic like some others I consulted with. I was also put in touch with other patients to discuss how their operations went. So my decision is made and this September I will be flying out to Germany. I think no matter which surgeon you choose you will always be a little nervous. However I also feel confident that Dr Villnow can give me my desired result. Let's see.
  13. Looking very impressive for what are still very early days. New hairs looking fairly thick too. I am booked in with Dr Villnow in September and your case has me feeling a lot more relaxed about it.
