  1. Dear all, I hope some of you learnt a thing or two after viewing Dr Bhatti's recent video on temple points. With the current lock down Dr Bhatti is kindly using some of his time making a few videos to help inform and educate potential hair transplant patients worldwide. In the second of this series Dr Bhatti explains donor FUT scarring and it's visibility post hair transplant. Again I hope you guys can take something away from this, enjoy the video.
  2. Dear all, I sincerely hope you are all staying safe and well during this testing time. As with most clinics, Dr Bhatti's hair transplant clinic in Chandigarh, India is currently closed due to the COVID 19 lock down in India. So Dr Bhatti has been constructively using some of his time making a few videos to help inform and educate our balding brothers and sisters worldwide. In the first of this series of videos Dr Bhatti explains the significance of temple points and how they can transform a hair transplant with many examples of his work. Enjoy the video.
  3. Dear all, This 48 year old Caucasian patient received 2,895 scalp grafts for his Norwood 3 baldness to rebuild his hairline, temple points and strengthen his mid scalp. The result in the video below is at 2 years post surgery. I hope you enjoy the video along with some pearls of wisdom from the great man himself!
  4. Dear all, This 43 year old patient and actor was kind enough to pass through and see Dr Bhatti and the team whilst recently filming on location in Chandigarh. In the video you can see his result still going strong 4 years on from his surgery. Also you can see his original 2016 video below Enjoy folks.
  5. Hi Durhamboy, It's great to see your post and to see you so happy with your hair this many years on from your surgery. Long may your happiness continue my friend.
  6. Every patient I know off who was scheduled in for surgery with Dr Bhatti is gutted. After much researching, and then making the mental/emotional, financial, work and time commitment to go through with the surgery it is incredibly frustrating to then have to have the whole thing put on hold indefinitely. I'm sure most patients who had their surgeries delayed will feel much the same and will be wanting everything to return to some normality asap so they can proceed. I know from my own experience and others that once the decision is made then you just want it all done and dusted.
  7. Hi Melvin, I've been busy digging a moat around my house, barricading all entrances, designing and building a home made water cannon and a flame thrower. Armoring my vehicles, the old A Team series provides many DIY lessons for this. Teaching the wife and kids killer martial arts moves. Watching Charlton Heston in the Omega Man, Will Smith in I am Legend, Contagion and World War Z on repeat. Digging up the lawn and cultivating the garden with various seeds. Apart from that, just chilling. Joking aside, hope you guys all stay safe!!
  8. All Indian visas are cancelled for those who have not left their port of departure from 12.00 noon GMT tomorrow, (Friday 13th March). Until 15th April 2020, but this date is open to change too.
  9. It doesn't get much more serious than this, open your eyes folks. The West do seem to be worryingly a bit too relaxed about this whereas the Asian states who have quite recent experience of SARS seem to have learnt from past mistakes and are taking no chances this time around with lock-downs in Korea, Japan, China and beyond. Thailand too banned all flights from China very soon after the outbreak taking a massive financial hit to their tourist industry but shockingly they were one of only a handful of nations to do so. Flights from China continued on to all other countries until very recently. Crazy! I do find the limited actions of Western governments worrying, they are waiting to go through the motions with a heavy emphasis on actions taken on the advise of senior health care professionals who don't necessarily have any experience in real world disaster scenarios. I would have preferred to take maximum action from the off akin to the Asian nations. It almost seems that Western governments were/are too afraid to lock-down because of the financial implications taking precedence over human lives. In any case the cost of an immediate lock-down and prevention seems as though it would have been a lot less costlier than dealing with a mass infection that now seems ever increasingly likely, (See Italy). People need to stop taking the stance, "I'm young and healthy, it won't affect me". Personally I wouldn't like to be responsible in passing this on to someones elderly parent leading to possible death. Think about it guys! Take care people, be sensible, look after your yourselves and especially your elders... and hopefully see you all on the other side of this nightmare.
  10. Hi Yaz, Great to see you back online and congratulation on your 3rd surgery mate. I recall seeing your amazing 1st surgery results in person, your latest result will leave you with hair of a 16 year old. Stop it right now, no more!
  11. Hey Rolandas, Great write up and video. Everything looks good and I'm sure you will take all the right steps to help you achieve the best possible result. Happy growing.
  12. Hi Petro, Your hair is looking fantastic, congratulations on a fine result. As for the crown, I remember pointing that out a while back but you should be fine covering it with your surrounding hair for the foreseeable future. There's no harm in keeping Minoxidil in your armory to combat any future loss. As for the baby shampoo, I've tried many shampoos over the years and find that the few times a week I apply oil (coconut or baby oil) to my scalp then the baby shampoo is best to wash it out with and leaves it looking and feeling the best. Also you could try Nizoral shampoo a couple of times a week. Thank you again for sharing your journey, if you need any future help or advice feel free to contact myself or a member of the team. I wish you all the best for the future.
  13. Hi Cardin, At 37 you've done extremely well to keep most of your hair without the need for Finasteride. Also you mentioned your hair loss has stabilised over the last few years without the need for Finasteride. I would say 2200-2500 grafts should be sufficient to cover the marked area, IE. redefining and strengthening your hairline and filling in your temple areas. Most surgeons will recommend Finasteride post op for at least 6 months so if you do want to reluctantly give it a go then that may be the time to do so. You can start on a smaller (0.5mg) dosage at less frequency and monitor your body for any changes over the coming weeks. You can then up the dosage and frequency to the recommended amount once you are confident that your body does not suffer any adverse affects as is the case with the vast majority of patients. If you prefer keeping your hair the length pictured then you should also look into SMP (Scalp micro-pigmentation)
  14. You could make contact with a few recommended surgeons from this site https://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/Consult-a-Physician/hair-loss-doctors.asp Having interacted with a few you will get a feeling which one is right for you. All the best.
  15. Also you could experiment with a different style rather than the slick back look that emphasizes your recession more.
  16. You could give the meds another go and see if the front thickens up, but you need to be aware that any meds are very unlikely to bring back what has already gone. If you are unhappy with the hairline and the temples then 1500-2000 grafts as already mentioned above should enhance your look greatly.
  17. 5mg is the dosage prescribed to prostate patients, 1mg is the recommended dosage for hair loss sufferers. Even then 1mg 3 times a week generally does the job. You might want to give it another go at the correct dosage.
  18. Hi Jack, Firstly. your pictures are not very clear so its difficult to make a precise assessment. Your donor area before looks OK, about average from what I can make out with the fade cut. Now if I blow up your first picture I can just about make out the dots (empty gaps) where the grafts have been removed. If you have a clearer pic then you could count these and come up with an approximate figure. But having a look and from experience I would say that nearer 3000 grafts have been removed. You may have also experienced some shock loss in your donor area caused by the trauma of surgery. In that case it can take up to 6 months+ for your hairs to recover. Is this your first procedure? If not then the gaps could possibly be explained by a previous procedure. Do you have a clear picture of the actual graft placement. Clearer pics will help the forum give you a better explanation. Feel free to contact me direct if you wish.
  19. In that case you should contact the clinics direct, if no reply still then I guess that helps you decide whether or not to proceed with that particular clinic.
  20. Have you checked your own junk folder to see if the clinic replies have gone in there, it does happen on many occasions.
  21. 1100 grafts? I'm sorry to say it looks like far more than 1100 grafts were taken out, I would say it looks like more than double that judging from your first pic. Do you have a picture of your donor area prior to surgery?
  22. Dear all, With all the scares about taking oral Finasteride (Propecia) and the inability to get your hands on any trusted topical solution, I thought some of you guys might be interested in the following video I came across whilst searching for a solution for a patient. I just wondered what the general take on this was with the forum. The process doesn't seem overly complicated, if you do have a go, just try to double/triple check your calculations. I'm yet to come across anyone who has published any progress pics using topical Finasteride, is there anybody out there? Might be tempted to dig out my old chemistry kit and set up a Fin Lab in my neighbours caravan!!!!!
  23. Dear all, This 30 year old patient received 2434 scalp grafts for his Norwood IV badness to cover the hairline, midscalp and temple points. The result is at 6 months post procedure. The patient took Finasteride (Propecia) for 6 months post-procedure.
  24. I never got the chance to share this video that the brilliant Punjabi singer and Dr Bhatti patient Sharry Mann made to celebrate his 5 year hair transplant results. What a man! Enjoy Also for all my Punjabi brothers out there,
