  1. I am glad to see that the majority so far are in favor of a beard transplant section. And even though if the poll was just below 50% then I would still argue that it seems kind of relevant to have that section since their are interest
  2. Why Hattingen clinic? I am btw in the same process as you looking for a beard to beard transplant doctor. So far I am considering HLC or Dr. Yaman (recommended on this forum for hair transplants)
  3. Thanks for creating this poll and react to a possible increasing demand for a beard transplant subform. This place is fantastic to guide people on hair transplants. I think it would be a great next step to guide on beard transplants as well, since there seems to be an increasing interest for this (and it's even performed by someof the recommended doctors in here).
  4. I actually think you have some good points, and I respect that – maybe it has even made me see things a little differently. I understand that regaining what you once had (hair) is different from acquiring something you never had (a beard). You are right; that makes a beard transplant more selective than a hair transplant. But you could also argue that if you are completely bald, then perhaps an investment in a beard could be more beneficial for your appearance than having only a "60% hair transplant coverage." It's all about complementing your face as best as possible, and a beard can significantly improve a bald or balding look, making a powerful change for some people, especially if only a few grafts need to be invested in a beard.
  5. Derailing the topic and attacking my English ruins a constructive dialogue. Please be respectful. Furthermore, my first draft on this topic had some spelling errors, but it's not indicative of a severe lack of English skills that I somehow typed "is are" next to each other. I also edited my post once I saw the wrong typing. You are not exactly creating a great atmosphere in this forum...
  6. I agree with you – creating a full beard from nothing looks unnatural. In my case I do have some that needs filling, but I want to have beard under my lip as well. I imagine my case could look realistic if done by a talented (beard) doctor.
  7. Why so aggressive? Balding is awful for a lot of us, and yet, the society still mocks bald people with "friendly" comments in social contexts. Yet, when someone might have an another cosmetic desire (= beard transplants) then you - out of all people - mock them by saying my "statement is ridiculous". To be honest I think you should know better and respect others opinion.
  8. Beard transplants are quite rare compared to hair transplants, but I am pretty sure that the amount of beard transplants performed have increased a lot during the recent years. As I have mentioned somewhere else I really think this forum should have a dedicated section for beard transplants to help transparency and users in reviewing which doctor to choose. It is difficult since beard transplants are not as popular and documented, making it a difficult to make a qualified decision. To help investigating the right doctor I really think we need a dedicated forum/section for this. I believe the demand and interest for this is increasing. A lot of this could be said by hair transplants as well. We all have those friends, or seen comments like "just shave yourself bald, nobody cares", but you probably care a lot. Right? Also a great beard can compliment af bald/thin hair tremendously. I have previously had a hair transplant in Turkey in 2016 (ASMED Clinic) and I had a great experience with this. Traveling and overall logistics also puts Turkey in favor for me.
  9. Dear all I'm currently investigating where I can have a Beard Transplant (approx. 1700 grafts) in Turkey. Dr. Resul Yaman is a recommended hair transplant surgeon on HairRestorationNetwork, but my question is – do you think this makes him automatically recommended for beard transplants as well? He specifically mentions on his website that they perform beard transplants, but there are no before&after pictures on their website and I have only received two examples on mail. Not much data/results for me to work with. ______________________________ Note: Please respect the decision of a beard transplant. I am well aware that most of you in here are focusing on a hair transplants and by using donor hair on a beard transplants seems unnecessary. While I understand this point of view, Dr. Yaman has reassured me that he will only use approx. 800 from my donor area. The rest is from the beard itself. But this is for another discussion
  10. I think that would be a brilliant idea. Where can I find the polls in this forum?
  11. But there is already a section not related to hairloss - "Issues Not Related To Hair Loss" where I think it would fit perfectly? At least I think it would be worth to have section dedicated to that topic - if it turns out to be rather inactive/not increase in activity for a certain time then close it Beard to beard is common as well. By your logic you could argue that hair transplants is not really needed as well – and I think we all disagree with this since we are part of this forum.
  12. Hi all It seems that "Beard Transplants" are becoming increasingly common. However, despite this, there are very few dedicated forums or sections to discuss it. I believe this is unfortunate. I think it would be a missed opportunity if this forum does not cover this aspect. Keep in mind that even some of the recommended doctors on HairRestorationNetwork performs Beard Transplants, but reading reviews/results on Hair Transplants is NOT the same as beard transplant. What do you think?
  13. Is anyone watching Tottenham against Arsenal now? It's raining like mad and you can really spot Eriksens sides and his bald spot on top. Kind of confirmes that he uses concealers as well I think.
  14. I'm sure Minoxidil promotes redness in a certain degree, no doubt. But the clinics also recommends that you use minoxidil, so based on that they should really consider not to underestimate the redness to patients.
  15. An interesting fact which a lot of people might not consider is that the redness might still be there even after more than 4 months. I assume a lot of people just think that the redness is gone because of the new hair covering the area. I thought that too. Then when I soak the whole area in Rogaine I can still see the redness and the colored contrast from the recipient area versus the untouched area. Kind of scary for some people if they suddenly decides to go totally bald in the future.
