  1. I have a question, If I do get a small FUE procedure to conceal the scar will it be super noticeable if I ever razor shave my head? And by this I mean first, will the donor site scars be super noticeable? or because there will be so few will it almost be impossible to see. And secondly will the implant sites in the scar look different than my native hair? Just thinking about this as an option, but I do not want to do something that will just lead to more anxiety as most "solutions" regarding hairloss lead to haha.
  2. Thanks man I appreciate it. I agree, most people look at me like I'm crazy when I tell them I'm losing my hair because I'm able to style it a certain way along with toppik that its not super noticeable. And my girlfriend tells me im stressing over nothing, but it's hard being 26 and feeling unattractive and lacking confidence. I'm sick of feeling like I constantly have to hide something. My buddy just buzzed his head and I think he looks great, I envy his courage. I'll do it eventually, I just want to make sure I'm ready for the change. This site definitely helps, I never thought I'd let something control my life as much as I do hair loss.... Soon the grip it has on me will be "cut off" lol.
  3. Thanks for the reply, you're right.. I am worrying about nothing. I'll see how it looks after the buzz and go from there. I need to quit worrying what other people think... If only it was easier to do that haha.
  4. Thanks, yeah I know what you're saying.. It's not that big of a deal but just something that bothers me. The whole buzzing my head thing is already giving me anxiety because there will be no more "hiding" my hair loss, I'm really hoping it makes me feel better about myself and relieve some of the stress that constantly trying to conceal or keep my head down so the wind doesn't blow my hair has caused me. I guess we will see. I guess the scar just adds to the anxiety and is another thing to draw attention to my head lol. I will try the concealer at first and then if I feel like it's necessary to get fue I'll look into it. Thanks again
  5. Thanks man, I looked into buying that before but I wasnt sure what color I should get. Was leaning toward medium brown but maybe I should get light brown if my hair is going to be really short? Any ideas?
  6. I have been receding slowly over the past 5 years and this past year it has really started to go quick. The front is very thin and I have quite the "M" shape up front. I'm not going to lie.. this whole process has killed my confidence, made me anti social, afraid to go outside when it's windy, just afraid of most situations. It's quite pathetic and I've decided just to buzz this shit and deal with it. One thing that is holding me back is the (non H/T related) 1.5" scar I have on the right side of head from a surgery that I had to have done. I want to buzz my hair pretty short but I don't want a super noticeable bald scar strip on the side of my head. I realize that this is nowhere near as devastating as the large scars that those of you who undergo H/T have to deal with and I am in no way trying to compare this to your problems. I was just hoping that those of you who have gone through that would have some advice as far as concealing. I'm looking for a product I can use to conceal or blend in WITH the color of the short buzzed hair so the scar is less noticeable. I attached a picture of my hair pulled back exposing the area that I am talking about. I use toppik daily on my hairline, not sure if that would help at all. I also didn't know if dermmatch applied directly to a scar will help conceal it? I also read about microskin on this forum and the results were pretty good but it is like 100 bucks a bottle. Just looking for any ideas from others experiences. Thanks for the help -Scooby
