  1. I talked to Dr Hakan Doganay through online consultation. It is rare, He does facial hair transplant. No picture of previous facial hair transplant. FYI.
  2. I asked Dr James Harris who is Top surgeon about permeant scar in the recipient site, however, He told me. "unlikely as the incisions to place the grafts are so small, averaging less than 1mm, visible scarring is rare".
  3. it is possible to achieve the required density in one session. it is just depends how big is your bald spots and how thick you want the area to be. Many factors to consider. Post picture of your beard. or check ***outside link removed by moderator***. Compare your situation with people in the photo. you get an idea of the graft required and the result. If you decide to do the surgery, please keep us update. I want to see the progress. I am thinking of doing it july, or aug or sept.
  4. There is many reasons holding me back. First, I read it is hard to reach the density you want from first procedure since head hair is about 1/2 the diameter of beard hair so each hair will not be as thick, second, I am afraid that it might affect my scalp hair which is to me more important than any beard. Third, the cost price is expensive. Even though I have patchy beard, I still need from 1800 to 2300 grafts . Mine would still cost like $15000 in the USA for FUE with top surgeon. I feel more comfortable doing the surgery in the USA. I am not stupid enough to let average surgeon who unskilled to touch my face and kill my scalp hair for cheaper price because if someone unskilled you could have permanent scar, so be careful my friend who to choose. I might consider Dr Hakan Doganay, MD since he is recommended here, member of IAHRS and closer to me than USA but I need to see his beard transplant first. There is no doubt, he has many great HT result but I never seen his beard transplant result. His price is affordable. Fourth, the redness after the procedure. I read, it might last as long as 3 months but with top surgeons, they told me only 3 weeks for the redness to disappear. Fifth, This is with what top Dr in India told me "Though I advise against beard hair transplant due to the permanent nature of grafts and non feasibility to in some cases to shave in future, I would like to see your pictures and discuss further with you." then I sent him my picture, He replied " Sorry we do not do this type of hair transplant since discontent after procedure is very high. In some individuals I have seen (as much as 65%) that there are bumps after shaving and the shaved look is not smooth. Many have repented having a procedure done later in life". Finally, permeant scar in the recipient site, however, top dr told me it is rare. Grafts are so small, averaging less than 1mm I am still not sure but I feel we only live once why not take risk.
  5. Too expensive and he is not top DR. I want to do the same surgery but I am still not sure because i do not have scar to hide but in your case, It is reasonable surgery. Dr Hakan Doganay, MD does beard transplant for 2.5 euro FUE. I never seen his work to be honest with you but he is recommended in this website and member of IAHRS. you should ask him How often does he do bead transplant. Dr. Jeffrey Epstein is very famous for facial hair transplant. He is a specialized in facial hair transplant, and does them three to four times a week, he is not recommended in this site but a member of IAHRS and top surgeon. you could see his work in his website.
  6. This is a great question. I could not find an answer. Here what I come up after contacting top Drs around the world mainly in USA but only one top Dr in India was honest to me. He told me "Though I advise against beard hair transplant due to the permanent nature of grafts and non feasibility to in some cases to shave in future, I would like to see your pictures and discuss further with you." then I sent him my picture, He replied " Sorry we do not do this type of hair transplant since discontent after procedure is very high. In some individuals I have seen (as much as 65%) that there are bumps after shaving and the shaved look is not smooth. Many have repented having a procedure done later in life". I talked to one of the top Drs in USA, He told me that the redness fade away after 10 days and after that no one will know about it. I am really confused. I want to have beard transplant so bad to fill in my patchiness.at the same time as you I do not want to have it forever, I just want to have my options open. I might just try to connect the goatee first to see how my face react. Sometimes I think beard transplant is not worth it.
  7. How many graft did you get? To be honest I want to do beard transplant so badly to fill my beard but I am afraid of the redness and the permanent scar , also the discontent after the procedure is high because top Dr in India told me, He would not do the procedure to me because of the discontent is very high. This is what he said "Though I advise against beard hair transplant due to the permanent nature of grafts and non feasibility to in some cases to shave in future, I would like to see your pictures and discuss further with you." then I sent him my picture, He replied " Sorry we do not do this type of hair transplant since discontent after procedure is very high". I talked to one of the top Drs in USA, He told me that the redness fade away after 10 days and after that no one will know about it. I am really confused. sometimes I think the beard transplant is not worth it Do you regret getting the procedure? is the graft scar permanent ?
