I know you've been consulting with my colleague but I'd be happy to speak with you to address your concerns and to ease your mind. Please feel free to email or call me. Alternatively, I'd be happy to contact you, if you would like to PM me. Looking forward to hearing from you! -

RobertHa replied to Croatia44's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
Hi Croatia44, The recovery looks like it's coming along nicely! Your hair length on the back of your head will conceal the scar and should be nearly undetectable. I'll keep following your posts and I'm excited to see your results. -
Hi Spanker, This was his first procedure with us. We transplanted into his hairline, frontal area and a little bit into his mid-scalp.It was approximately 65-70 cm2 area.

Day 8-9 white scabs falling off. Sound safe?
RobertHa replied to Bardlebee's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
Hi samisosa, ftbpicks is correct! I'm not sure where you had your procedure done. However, at Rahal, we are strict about not touching the recipient area post-operation. We want to ensure that the grafts are secured and in place. We continue to advise patients to adhere to their cleaning schedule (morning and night) for the full two weeks post-op. I would advise against showering under running water at 8 days post-op. Once advised, our patients can have a shower under running water and gently scrub out the remaining scabs and transplanted hairs. At Rahal, we provide our patients with Vitamin E oil to drizzle on the recipient area to keep the newly transplanted grafts hydrated, as well as, a saline solution. -
Hi denis123, I would love the opportunity to have a phone consultation with you to answer all your questions and concerns. What day and time works best for you? I'll do my best to accommodate your schedule. Looking forward to speaking with you!

~2000 FUE with Dr Reddy..Great experience!
RobertHa replied to Shacked's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
Hi Shacked, At the Rahal Hair Clinic, we have two procedures a day: one FUT and one FUE. Dr. Rahal is attentive and constantly checks in with each patient frequently throughout their procedure. The patient's care, comfortability and needs are our number one priority. Our team of nurses and technicians are fully aware of each patient's state at all times. We have become really efficient at our FUE extraction. However, this is not to say that we rush the FUE extraction process, nor the FUT strip removal. We take the time needed to properly and safely extract (or strip remove) each follicular unit to yield the highest survival rate. This part of the procedure is very important to us. If you have any further questions, please feel free to email or call me. I'm always happy to provide clarification about our process. -
Hi taurusrisen, I'd like to explain to you where 50 grafts per squared cm comes from: Most men don't notice hair loss until they lose 50 percent of their hair density. It's called the 50% rule. Many physicians, based on this knowledge, feel that you only need to get the patient to 50% of their original density. Any more is a waste of grafts. While 50 grafts per squared cm is a great benchmark, hair characteristics including hair color, contrast between hair and scalp, hair caliber, hair texture etc. play a MUCH more important role. For example, 40 grafts per squared cm may look great on someone with blonde hair and pale complexion but thin on someone with dark hair and pale complexion. Don't focus on a number. Understand your individual hair characteristics instead, donor density, hair loss pattern, personal goals and how everything fits together. Then find a hair transplant doctor who specializes in what you need. For example, if you have fine hair, high contrast between hair and scalp but great donor density, you need a doc who can transplant above 50 grafts per squared cm. There is much more to it. However, that's the basics. Give me a shout to go over your individual case and how everything fits together. Happy to help!

My FUE With Dr. Rahal 3000+ Grafts (Large Procedure)
RobertHa replied to Sean's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
Hi mnbvcxz, Sorry for the delay. I was travelling. If you have any questions and I’m not around, feel free to give me a call or send an email. Happy to help. 1.877.712.4247 ext. 2511 robert@rahalhairline.com Not specific to Sean, but hairline design is a discussion between the doctor and the patient prior to surgery. It typically goes like this… Dr. Rahal designs the hairline with a skin marker; the patient gives feedback on the design; Dr. Rahal tweaks based on this feedback. It's a process. Only when the patient agrees on the design and location, does the procedure move forward. Keep in mind that should the patient want a hairline that’s too low for example, Dr. Rahal will discuss why medically it's not possible and give recommendations based on his 20 years of experience.- 459 replies

When to stop Rogaine before surgery
RobertHa replied to winthefight's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
Hi winthefight, Rogaine/Minoxidil promotes blood circulation and flow to the scalp (to promote healthy hair growth to your native hairs). We ask that you stop using it a month prior to your procedure to minimize bleeding on the day of your procedure. Since we're making several hundreds to thousands of incisions to our recipient area, we don't want you to bleed any more than you need to. In addition, it makes it easier to continue to make the incisions during the procedure and allows for easier implanting. To answer your second question, we would recommend you stop using Rogaine/Minoxidil entirely. If it runs down into your recipient area, it could be problematic. -
Input Needed- FUE 2521 Grafts 1 year post op results
RobertHa replied to wazaam's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
Hi GreatPelo, We tried ARTAS once. However, did not use the machine again. -
Hi ftbpicks, Thank you for posting your pictures. The results are looking really good! Just keep in mind that hair grows at half an inch per month and you'll see your most aggressive hair growth in months 5, 6 and 7. Be careful about staying in direct sun light. You do not want to dehydrate your newly transplanted grafts for the first 6 months. Please keep posting your monthly update pictures! We are following your progress at Rahal!

Input Needed- FUE 2521 Grafts 1 year post op results
RobertHa replied to wazaam's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
Hi FUE2014, Just for the record, wazaam is not a patient of Dr. Rahal. At Rahal, we no longer offer Artas Robotic extraction. All of our FUE extractions are completed manually. By doing it manually, we have a higher graft survival rate.
