  1. California, No worries man, I took this picture with my cellphone. Let me dust off my DSLR. I'll post some hi-res pics by tomorrow. All sides, all angles. Thanks for the feedback.
  2. Ok people, Here is my 4 month update, the grafts are growing at a steady rate, although they still have a lot of catching up to do.
  3. Here's my 2 week update. Crusts were a little stubborn, so i had to gently massage them off.
  4. Well said California. Mikeey, I don't know what your problem is, but you seem to be on an anti Dr. Bhatti campaign. I've read your posts, you keep dismissing Dr. Bhatti as if his work meant nothing. As for the hairline, i believe mine is nicely designed (check my pics, if you don't believe me) I've got a few compliments from other members on this forum as well. It sure as hell isn't a straight line like how you claim most of Dr. Bhatti's work is. Bottom line, i'm not anti or pro Dr. Bhatti. I'm just a happy patient who had a great experience at his clinic. Sure i'm still a week post-op, but i'm confident in the Doctors work and the growth yet to come.
  5. Listen grandpa, a consensus of coalition members (not wannabe clowns like yourself) is how the forum recommends doctors. BTW, you're no veteran, you're just a senior member, so stop trying to make the actual veterans look bad by your idiotic rants. Dr. Bhatti's reputation gets him tons of business, so if he were to charge 100x more than what he's charging currently, he'd fall in the "Elite" class according to you ? Wow, the combination of the laws of economics and your stupidity collectively make me laugh my ass off. An actual veteran is a hobbyist, you my friend are a narcissistic prick. That being said, you better be glad, you're barking at me anonymously, coz if i ever see you in real life, I will give you a comprehensive tutorial on the laws of physics and thereafter you a'int gonna be barking much. Enough said !! Peace out Jackass
  6. Olmert, I don't give a shit about your veteran status, My join date on ht network has nothing to do with my knowledge of hair transplants If you believe that's the case, you're an idiot. If you actually took the time to read my post instead of rubbing your veteran status in my face, you'll understand that i simply stated that there is a lot of confusion regarding FUT and the yield it produces. And when did i close the debate and settle it ? I just gave my opinion.Of all people, I agree that there are educated minds on both sides, both techniques have their flaws and strengths. I've been researching about hair transplants since 2008, I've studied thousands of cases of FUT and FUE and made my decision based on that. I didn't get lucky dipshit. If i did go to Dr. Bhatti, it's coz i made a well thought out decision based on my 6 years of research, budget, and the consistent results produced by the doctor.I certainly don't need a "veteran" douche bag like you to analyse it for me. Oh and btw, how does one become an elite physician in his class ? Is it by approval from like minded veterans like yourself ? Please, educate me, I'm a newbie remember ? Pour out your veteran wisdom to poor noobs like us who have no clue and rely rather on luck to get things done. I'm assuming you're not from India and part of your reasoning to say Dr. Bhatti is not elite is coz of the price. Let me tell you this, Dr Bhatt's prices are not cheap for me, they are expensive. I had to save up for a while just to get this procedure done. Sure it may be cheap compared to clinics in the US, UK, Turkey etc coz the cost of living in these countries is significantly higher than India. But of course a veteran hard core member like you knew all that right ? Oh Please give me a break !!
  7. Part of this has to do with the misconceptions of FUT, somehow people think that FUT is far superior to FUE, in reality, FUE in the hands of a skilled doctor is at par or sometimes even better than FUT (considering the lack of a linear scar). In my case, i have very little scarring, the donor area healed in 3 days. (i can show you HD pics of my donor area if you want, the diff is undetected). I couldn't say the same thing if i had an FUT. Having said this, i agree with "Olmert" that doing a single mega session to extract the max number of grafts is a wise move.
  8. Why don't you consider FUE, It leaves very few scars and has a faster recovery time. I personally had my HT done by Dr. Bhatti and i must say it was very comfortable. Somehow the idea of having a chunk of flesh carves fron my skull doesn't seem appealing to me. If cost is your concern, Dr Bhatti charges just 88rs/graft. His clinic is also state of the art and modern.
  9. Thanks David, If you need more details, just PM me. Good luck with your procedure !!
  10. Good point Raj, I've got a solid goatee, If need be, i can call in graft reinforcements from my beard provided my wallet backs me up with a stack of benjis Question : How long did the numbness last for you ?

  12. That's coz the doc recommended not doing the crown as it has started to thin only and that i might suffer severe shock loss. Anyways I'm not really worried about the crown as it actually looks better than the pics, trust me. Besides i have limited donor area. My temples and front-lines have receded so much that i needed to do that area first. We could always work the crown later as i've got plenty of body hair (in excess of 20000 grafts, lol). But thats gonna be expensive so, front and temple will do for now until i have the budget for more.
  13. Alright, so here are my pre-op photos taken a few weeks before the procedure. Please excuse my bad Photoshop skills.
  14. Thanks man, I'll definitely keep y'all posted. New pics come in every 12th of the coming months. If you have any doubts regarding the Doctor and getting a transplant, you can relax, I've been there, done that. Good luck....Now go get some hair on that head !!!!
  15. Hi All, I began researching about hair transplants as a permanent way to deal with hair loss since 2009. But after reading how a hair transplant procedure actually worked, i wasn't sure if i wanted to go ahead with one. This was because most of the transplants i read about were FUT strip surgery, which creates a linear line at the back of the head. So i gave up that idea until a couple of years later until my hair loss became more and more evident. I grew frustrated to a point where i restarted my research from 2009 into hair transplants, I was under the opin ion that a lot had changed in 5 years, with regards to how the procedure was done. This was when i heard about FUE transplants. Basically FUE does not leave a linear scar, instead it leaves many tiny individual scars. These scars are undetectable after the surrounding hair around the donor area has grown back. The next step was finding a good surgeon, someone who had results to show and actual reviews. This was when i initiated an exhaustive search online about FUE surgeons in India and Dr Tejinder Bhatti popped up. I started reading reviews about how amazing his results were and what a gentle man he was. The more i read, the more i was convinced not just about his ethics and integrity but also about the techniques he employed, his dedicated staff of techs and nurses and the results he was capable of achieving. I finally decided to take the plunge and contacted Dr Bhatti around mid September 2014. I sent him my photos of the crown, temples and sides. We exchanged mails about how many grafts, duration of the procedure, hotel stay in Chandigarh etc. Since i already became an expert on FUE myself (lol). I already knew most of the answers to my questions. Dr. Bhatti estimated around 1500 grafts for the front and around 1000 grafts for the crown. He booked a date early in Jan 2015 for the procedure after i wired an initial advance to block the date for me. Fast forward to Jan 2015, I was supposed to arrive on the morning of Jan-8, but because of the fog, my flight got cancelled. Here is a word of advice to anyone travelling in December or January, It is better to avoid booking any domestic flights to chandigarh as the possibility of it being cancelled is very high, I 'd recommend anyone planning to travel to chandigarh to call Dr. Bhatti's office and arrange a cab from Delhi, the ride might take a little longer (around 4.5 to 5 hours), but it's better than sitting 7 hours in the airport witnessing delays and cancellations. Anyways, after a long a tiring train journey, i reached Chandigarh where Sachin (the driver) was waiting for me. He dropped me at the ABS hotel (booked by Dr Bhatti's clinic). The hotel was awesome, rooms were very neat and clean, the ambiance was great, it was equipped with all amenities such as cable tv, heating, a/c, mini bar, room service, free WiFi and even a safe. Since i was a client of Dr. Bhatti, i got it booked for an amazing price of 1700 rs a night. The price is a bargain compared to other hotels in Chandigarh city and it is within 2 minutes walking distance to his clinic. There is also an in house restaurant called "Hot Millions" which serves great food (Damn, i still crave the chilli chicken and butter naan, lol). The next morning, the clinic's office boy came and picked me up at 07.50AM. There i met Ms Shalini (one of the doctor's tech's) She was my contact who handled all my travel queries etc. At around 08.30AM, the i saw the doctor and since we were running behind schedule, we finished the consultation in 30 minutes, There was not much to consult, i knew what i wanted realistically and the doctor drew a hair line which was surprisingly what i wanted although i thought he may have lowered the hairline a little bit, but then again i read many reviews about how most of the members here on this forum advised about heeding the doctor's recommendation. So i trusted the doc's hairline and he assured me that no one would know that i got a transplant. He estimated around 2200 grafts in the frontal portion near the temples all through out the front densely packed. The doc also told me that leaving the crown untouched was the best option for now as it just started thinning only, coincidentally that was what another member on this forum "jayudkht" advised. i was content with the doc's recommendation the nurses prepped me for surgery. After the initial cleaning of the head with soap, i was taken into the OT, to be honest i was kinda nervous when i saw the sharp instruments, but the doctor cracked a few jokes and made me totally at ease. I was given injections to numb the donor area, it stung a little but soon after i couldn't feel a thing. Shortly afterwards the harvesting started, i don't remember much of the harvesting coz i fell asleep (not because of anesthesia) but due to the jet lag .lol My graft count is as follows, Singles : 712 Doubles : 817 Triples : 659 Total : 2188 After the harvesting was over, the slits were made near my temples and frontal portions. No pain whatsoever. Soon after i had a tasty lunch (pre-ordered from hot milions by the clinic) and after an hour of rest, the techs started the implantation process in another room This was also very painless as the local anesthesia was still in effect. The tech's were really friendly, kept me company all through out the procedure, one of them even asked me if i wanted to listen to music. FYI there is a TV and DVD player, so we can bring our own Cd's and DVD's and watch shows or movies. At around 02.30. the graft placement was done and they gave me tea and biscuits. Shortly afterwards, the doctor advised me to sleep upright so as to not disturb the grafts. I left shortly back to the hotel. Next day i was back at 09.00AM. the doc's assistants explained how to shampoo the hair and to how to take care of the grafts for the next two weeks. There is also an exhaustive book detailing all instructions pertaining to medicines, shampooing, anti septics, FAQ's, what to do, what not to do, 24 hour helpline. The instructions are pretty simple but one should be careful when shampooing the grafts. The clinic also gave me an option to purchase 6 months of medication including Finasteride, Rogaine and Biotin supplements which i happily purchased. I settled my final bills (paid cash in US$).There were no hidden charges, even the exchange rate was spot on. They even hired a cab for me to travel back to Delhi Int'l airport and that if i encountered any problems, just call them. I must admit, Dr. Bhatti staff are very professional, polite and simply awesome. In the end, this is one of those journeys that i will never forget thanks to the awesome Dr. Bhatti and his awesome staff. I've attached a few pics post op, i will add more pics every 12th of the coming months. Hope everything goes well. Looking forward to opinions, comments !!
