  1. Hi, I thought I’d share the history for full transparency dating back to before and after my 1st hair transplant to the present.
  2. I appreciate your honesty; both sides of my grandfathers had Norwood 5/6 severity. I’m making inquiries and will ask about a full assessment about how to prevent such a possibility.
  3. I’m afraid that is long gone and given to charity.
  4. The Temples didn’t have a lot of work the first time and I do recall the crown wasn’t filled in massively because I was only 29 on the 1st Transplant and told that Crowns don’t stop expanding until your mid to late 30’s. I’m somewhat also suspicious that I caught COVID-19 very early on in 2020 which has lead to hair loss or it could be due to stress during this period… I’m not sure but My father is completely bald on top, My Maternal Uncle and their respective fathers (My Grandfathers on both sides) were bald which has made me somewhat damned despite Finasteride
  5. I contacted Dr Bicer a few months ago and have been recommended that 2nd HT to keep my existing hair and regrow some lost hair is the best course of action. I guess now I’m starting to think I’ll need to plan a trip back to Istanbul in March 2023
  6. Hi Melvin, I have expanded on this a bit more.
  7. Thanks, I feel like the pandemic has been a contributing factor to this as I felt a couple of years back my hair was relatively thick enough. I’m curious now about what my budget will be from next year etc, I live in NI so need to plan ahead on where to consider. I think europe generally is very expensive and Turkey generally has a very good selection of brilliant doctors who are not as expensive.
  8. Hi All, apologies for the delay in response. Yes, I can provide you with further information. It was a 3200 Graft FUE and there wasn’t a lot placed in the temples or the crown compared to the scalp (I had been told that my age at the time was unwise, the crown expands until you reach late 30’s or 40 until it stops). I have used Proscar Finesteride 5mg since March 2015 (1mg per day). I have started to take a zipvit Saw Palmetto Plus/Pumpkin Seed and Zinc capsule daily. I use Nizarol Shampoo twice a week every 3 or 4 days. I have explored dermarolling and onion juice for the scalp also. I’ll add close ups later on. I had been told I was likely to need another transplant in the future or likely loose it all eventually. My goal is really to avoid being completely bald and have a thick enough density hairline… (I’m aware it will never equate to native density but close enough would be fine).
  9. Hi All, I had my first transplant in March 2015 by AEK. I have attached pictures showing my journey from September 2015 to early this summer. I turned 36 a few months back and remember being told that I would likely need another one before I turned 40. Since early last year before the pandemic started; I feel my hairline is shrinking and hair has continued to thin since….. Just want to ask how severe this looks before sharing more detailed pictures up close. I’m curious to know if I’ll need to consider a HT as soon as things get back under control next year or if I can hold out until 2023?
  10. Feel free to check my profile pics if you wish
  11. Dr Karadeniz did my surgery earlier this year ( March). I would say that I'm very happy with the result that I've had so far after 9 months; he gave his recommendations on what areas are best left alone until a later stage. Particularly, if you are of a certain age bracket or likely to follow a particular pattern if your hair loss is inherited.
  12. Hi Robleary11, I think it's pretty common from my own queries that most online pharmacies won't deliver to Ireland. Do you have any friends who live in the North? Maybe you can order it to their address and get them to send it to you? The cheapest place I know of where to buy it would be in Turkey from a pharmacy as it can be bought without prescription
