    Case History 30y/m Grafts= 1800 grafts(4031 hair follicles) Tech:- FUE Result:- After 8 months A 30yr old man presented with the complaint of irregular growth of hair in the beard area. The history of traction and infection in this area was ruled out. The patient opted for Beard reconstruction by FUE technique. He was given 1800 grafts ( which had 4031 follicles) from the scalp. The extraction was like any other FUE case. But, the slit making was slow owing to the laxity of the skin on the face. So, stretch was applied on the scalp to make the skin taut. The implantation was also slow because of the before mentioned reason as well as also it was difficult for the placers to position their hands and had to change the position of the face quite frequently. The surgery was uneventful and the patient went home in a a satisfactory condition. We are hereby sharing the pictures of the patient on the day of surgery and 8 months following the procedure. The patient is happy with the overall result of his surgery.

    A 47 year old male presented with the complaint of baldness involving the hairline and the crown area. The hair loss was non progressive. The patient chose FUE for the reconstruction of these two areas. The hair were extracted form the back side of the scalp. Five hundred and forty grafts (540) grafts were placed on the front and 1000 grafts were placed on the back side.....We are hereby sharing the results of the same patient after 6 months....

    The International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery, ISHRS, USA, is well known for its endeavours to promote education in Hair Transplant. Continuing with the same, the ISHRS recently organised a hair transplant workshop in Manchester, UK from 10-12th June 2016.     A 36 yr old gentleman ( NH grd III Vertex) with history of baldness for the past five years, non progressive, with positive paternal family history approached us for hair transplant. The plan was to cover up the bald area in two parts. Thus, in first sitting, 2240 grafts were transplanted by FUE technique in the frontal half of the scalp. The patient had come for a follow up at 8 months when these pictures were taken. Now, he will go for the second session for the crown in another 3-4 months.

    A 50 year old gentleman, NH grd VII, using a wig for the past couple of years enquired from us regarding his hair transplant. He wanted whole of the head to be covered in one session only. Although, we explained to him that we do such a high grade of baldness in multiple sessions only, but after his persistence, we took him up for covering the whole scalp in one session only by FUE technique only. We did his surgery in three days by the Bio- FUE TMtechnique. We gave him a total of 5240 grafts from the scalp ( 2500), beard ( 1300), chest ( 1400) and legs ( 40). The hairline zone was constructed with 1500 grafts from the scalp alone. Then 1000 grafts from the scalp were mixed with the 1000 from beard and the chest till mid scalp. Behind that, it was primarily the body hair only.At the end of the surgery, we gave him the Bio therapyTM( PRP). The patient was happy with surgery and the results after one year are being shown here. One of the points to be noted here along with the results is that there is not much hypopigmentation in the beard area from where the grafts were taken.

    A 24 Years old gentleman presented to use a complaint of Baldness (NH grd 5) for the past 7 Years. The Baldness was non progressive. His father also had Baldness (NH grd 7). On examination, the recipient area was found to be normal and the Donor area had a density of 78 FU/ CM2. The plan was made to cover the bald Area in two sittings. In the First sitting 2674 grafts were extracted and implanted covering the frontal half of the scalp. The results of the Patient after 8 months are being attached hereby.

    Hi Bill I fully get your point regarding the significant difference in the pre and post op picture, actually the patient has been put on medical therapy consisting of dutasteride and minoxidil along with couple of more multi vitamins. I think result of backside is very much influenced by the medical therapy it was only the mix scalp area which was done by the surgery for which I am adding the immediate post op picture to clarify the situation. The video of the patient is not available and cannot be placed as we have just click the photographs when the patient have come for the post op follow. In case you think is not fitting into the whole pattern of your placing picture than we can add another result for the same.

    A 35 yr old male, NH Grd VI baldness, had undergone FUE surgery outside ( 5000 grafts ) around a year ago. But, he was not satisfied with the results as the hair came in only the hairline area only. Then, the strip surgery along with PRP ( Bio- Strip) was done in this patient. A 25 cm strip was taken out, 1370 grafts were harvested and implanted. At the time of the surgery, the fibrosis was more, the bleeding was also more but the closure was achieved without any tension. The patient is happy and satisfied now as he has got a very good growth and by growing his hair long whole of his scalp is now covered.

    A 31 year old gentleman, having NH Grd IV/ V baldness, had undertaken medical treatment for hair loss from outside, and now wanted to undergo the surgery for improving his looks. Considering his hair loss pattern, he was advised 3000-3500 grafts over two sessions by FUE technique. The patient agreed for that. And the first surgery was done using 2000 grafts by FUE. The hairline was reconstructed with 1000 grafts and the same number of grafts were put in the crown area with the knowledge that 1000-1500 more grafts will be required in the second sitting. The surgery was uneventful. The patient followed all the instructions and the treatment as advised. Now, the patient has come for a follow up around 11 months after the procedure. He can undergo the second session at any time now.

    Dear Satinder I completely get your concern that you're upset because of the lack of results of hair transplant from our clinic. But I would like to remind you that I shared this point with you last time when you underwent a surgery in 2012, sometimes for no known reason results are sub optimal. This is same point that David has also mentioned and we share this with all patients before surgery. I want to assure that our whole team is very sensitive to existing patients, so must have been a miss as I was in Ludhiana for only 3 days in December.     In Bio-FUE or Bio-Enhanced FUE, we use PRP immediately post FUE surgery to give better healing & pickup.     This gentleman, 27 years of age, NH Grd V, came for hair transplant by Bio FUE technique. But a day before the surgery, he got very apprehensive and refused to undergo the surgery. Then, I again sat down with him and explained the whole procedure in detail to him. He was worried that he would not be able to bear the surgery and collapse because it is a very painful surgery. he also feared that the surgery would lead to side effects in his scalp and would also affect his eyes. Once all his doubts were laid to rest did he agree for the surgery. This shows that even though the patient had undergone proper consultation beforehand, still can get jittery prior to the surgery. The surgery was uneventful. He was given 2200 grafts by Bio- FUE technique. And the wonderful results after six months are very clearly visible...

    A 34 yr old male presented with the complaint of baldness in the crown area for the past 5 years with no active hair fall at present.     A 39 year gentle man presented with a complaint of baldness for the past 7 years. He had undergone some medical treatment outside and wanted hair transplant now. A couple of his friends earlier also had undergone surgery from us and were quite happy with the results. He was examined and his baldness was NH Grade IV/V. He was given an option of both the techniques ( FUE and FUT) but he chose FUE. So, 2530 grafts were extracted and implanted in a single session. The surgery was uneventful. The patient came to the clinic for some other purpose after three years and his results are very clearly visible. He is very happy with the results and now wants to undergo more grafts on the back side.

    A 23 year old Sikh gentleman presented with complaints of non progressive Hair loss in the frontal part of scalp for the past three years. He gave a history of tying turban. He stopped tying turban and underwent a haircut following which this patient noticed that there were no hair in the front area. On examination, the alopecia primarily involved the hairline zone and the temples. There were very few small hair along the border zone. The patient was advised hair transplant. He chose FUE technique because he did not want a linear scar on the back side of scalp. Twelve hundred grafts were implanted in the hairline zone and he did not want the temples to be done in this sitting. The surgery was uneventful. The following are his results 8 months after the surgery.

    This Sikh gentleman, 39 years of age, came to us with the complaint of a stable hair loss in the frontal part of the head 3 years prior to the first visit to us. The hair loss was non progressive with no one in his immediate family member having hair loss and he had medicines from a local dermatologist but without any effect. On examination, the hair loss was present only in the front part, NH grd II/III. The donor area was good with a density of around 82FU/cm2. Thus, we advised him hair transplant by FUE technique. The patient underwent grafting with 2000 grafts. It was carried out in 2 days by manual FUE technique. The surgery was uneventful. And the results after 2011-2012 years are as follows:

    This gentleman from Australia, a 64 yr old male had undergone 4 Strip surgeries in Australia. And then he came to us for FUE Hair Transplant for the first time in 2013. There was hardly any hair left in the scalp for extraction. So, we took out 800 grafts from chest. Another month down the line we extracted 300 grafts from each areas of chest and beard total 600 grafts. We had to go down to the pubic area as well to extract the grafts, they were curly, and difficult to extract as compared to the rest of the body hair. Then encouraged by his results, he came back in 2014 when we gave him around 2200 grafts from the body areas only from the areas; chest, scalp and beard. Then again in 2015, he came and we gave him 1130 no. of grafts taken out from chest and beard. We are showing below the 2nd session of 2014 year & 3rd session of 2015 year results pictures only, as we don’t have 1st session results pictures.

    Procedure details: Date Of Surgery:- 10.11.2013 Number Of grafts:- 3000 grafts Technique:- FUE (Frontal area covered) Age:- 31 yrs male. Pls Note:- A higher number of grafts (3000) were given in this case as the density of follicular units was slightly higher than usual (82 FU/cm2) in the scalp donor area.     A 26 yr old male presented with the complaint of minimal hair in the beard region. He was advised Beard & moustache reconstruction by FUE technique. During the slit making, a special effort was made to give it a natural look by giving a convex look to the upper layer of the grafts in the cheek and higher density in the moustache & goatee area as compared to the rest of the parts. The implantation was slightly difficult as compared to the scalp because the slits get closed and took more time. Otherwise, the surgery was uneventful. The patient was advised semisolids for the day of surgery after discharge as there might be some effect of anesthesia on the face which might cause drooling of saliva. This patient was very happy and is planning another session to make the beard even more dense 2 years after the first sitting.     A 30 yrs old male presented with the complaint of baldness, NH Grd III, for hair transplant. He had already taken some medicines outside but without any improvement. So, he now wanted hair transplant only. The pattern of hair loss was stable. His father was also bald. He was offered both FUT & FUE for restoring hair. But, he chose FUT because of the monetary restraints. His pre-op hair density was around 68 FU/cm2 ( the average Indian density is around 65-70 FU/cm2). The strip was 27 cm long and 1.3 cm in width in midline. A double layer Trichophytic closure with Vicryl 3-0 inner, interrupted and Prolene 4-0 outer continuous was done. Two thousand two hundred and fifty grafts ( 2250) were dissected and implanted. The surgery was uneventful and the patient was discharged in a satisfactory way.
