  1. You need to notarize those text messages. Email them to yourself. Reproduce them as much as possible. Something to have more evidence on your side vs. his. . . What a disgusting thing to do. Doing cosmetic procedures of any sort is fraught with risk and I commend hairrestorationnetwork to provide a forum for people to help them vet physicians and clinics. I wish you the best. . .and good luck with the new year.
  2. Fin hampers my performance in the bedroom. Though I see no reason he could not be using minoxidil. I take saw palmetto (with 85% fatty sterols, an important distinction between this kind and the kind that does not) and minoxidil fairly regularly. Though they are not improving my hairline, I am certain they are preventing it from getting worse and overall stabilizing it.
  3. I heard about this clinic online, but their prices seem way too cheap and only had one doctor I never heard of on this forum, so I passed on thinking of using them. It pays to do research and in the end, if you have not heard of a service one way or the other, assume the worst. I do commend you for posting your warning. I hope things get better for you and perhaps obtain the services of a malpractice attorney. You definitely seem like a case of a botched surgery. Sorry.
  4. Thank you both. Quite frankly, 7 - 8? Too much. Especially when whomever I mention wanting to do this too, they say, "You already have hair!" Even when I had 1000 grafts long time ago via Bosley their staff were asking me "why?" What can I say, those commercials got to me. Part of me feels like an idiot ever having done it. Especially when I see some surgeons doing these hair procedures are bald themselves! All that said, the way I look at it though, I much rather have a nicer head of hair than have a luxury car. From my research and experiences, FUE is the way to go but he charges at least double from what another charges?! I could fly first class, hotel room etc and still have money left over going elsewhere. Thanks for the information. I really do appreciate it. Knowledge is power and now have enough to decide which way to go. Thanks again!
  5. From what you know, how much does Diep typically charge per graft? I know there are variables, so I am looking at a price range. From doing some research, I figure in the 4-5 dollar range per graft is fair. I can definitely afford more than that but my thing is, I want a doctor who is in the field is looking to help others then make money. Not make money first and help others second. I saw Dr. Vories website, and he is high on my list from what I have seen. The only obstacle is distant. Dr. Diep seems to have great results as well and if his pricing is on par with Dr. Vories, I will go to him because of geography as he is much closer. I am not going to be deterred asking about price. Price is a factor as indicated by how many people are willing to travel thousands of miles to get surgery done. I met a gal once who traveled to Brazil for gastric bypass. I worked in Costa Rica and Americans would travel there for dental procedures. However, if asking about price is taboo. . . or people are embarrassed or whatever to share that information, let me know. I am NOT a mind reader and cannot tell if someone read my post or not in regards to me asking about price. Simply reply, "I am not comfortable answering that." If I may suggest, this forum perhaps should have a price range section for doctors they recommend per FUE, FUT, etc. . .
  6. Exactly. The guy showed pictures, etc. . .missing information for me, was PRICE. .. ok? And for whatever reason, he is not answering it. . . What are your results, how many grafts, and how much?
  7. What an insulting reply. And I am insulted by your response as should this entire forum.. because . . . Why have this forum then?! I am asking for price, results and overall experiences of patients who have had these procedures which I thought was the purpose of this forum... If it was all about "just go call the clinic" without knowledge, I may be ripped off and/or unhappy with the results. Every single doctor worth their salt has a god complex who feels they are are underpaid and under appreciated, as they should as I want that kind of confidence in a doctor, but that should be tempered with patients sharing their experiences with that doctor which I thought was the purpose of this forum. Am I mistaken as to one of the purposes of this forum?! Let me know.
  8. Yes, to echo another's curiosity, how much was it? Thanks!
  9. I am curious, what does it entail going to India to see Dr. Bhati? How much would an airline ticket cost, hotel room, etc? Also, after the procedure? What are the follow ups like? What does that entail? Do I have to stay in India long? If I was to go to India, I would probably go and spend a week being a tourist before doing the procedure and head back, or do I have to stay for how many days after the procedure? Can I fly in the air soon after? Etc? Any replies, greatly appreciated.
  10. A bit about me Mid 40s, middle eastern descent overall. I had 2 hair procedures in the course of a year 10 years ago for 1050 grafts at Bosley. They charge an arm and a leg! The improvement was marginal overall. Made my hair thicker and my bald spot at the back of my head became a thinning spot and still is as I use minoxidil and saw palmetto religiously. I did use finasteride but it hampered my game in the bedroom so to speak. Anyways, it is 10 years later and I still have this thinning area at my the back of my head (the kind minoxidal works on) and I would like to take care of it or at least make it substantially better, and ideally make the hair all over my head thicker and if a doc can extend my hair line, great! I wish to do this now as it is a young man's game and I am not as young anymore and between jobs. From the research I have done via this website and other places, I want to do the FUE procedure. I refuse to have a another scar or exacerbate the one I have as it is fairly thin and not as noticeable per say as it was 10 years ago. And from my readings, FUE heals better, etc. I live in the SF Bay Area. Dr. Diep is in my area. I have no clue what he charges for FUE. Curious how much does he charge per FUE graft and what should be my price point? I did view Dr. Vories website and he is good enough to share that he charges which is $4 dollars a graft and I would want to do the maximum, 3000. However I have read elsewhere the most that most docs would do in a single FUE session is 2500 grafts. Or should I go overseas? Do they have the same standards? I would have to take into account the entire cost of travel and the procedure, etc. Overall, I think I can budget 12 to 14k for 3000 FUE grafts, including travel, procedure, everything. And of course, I want the highest quality for a man of my hair type, which is thick and wavy. I remember the Bosley doc said I have the kind of hair ideal for transplantation in that it is thick and can cover more than thinner hair types. Any replies would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
  11. I have had a FUT (1100 grafts) over 10 years ago. I 10 years later, I like another one. But this time, from what I have researched, I want an FUE procedure. I figure 2,500 to 3000 grafts this time around, All that written, how much will it be for a doctor that can most successfully transplant that many grafts of my coarse middle eastern type hair? I apologize if I am breaking any forum rules if there is any stipulation against asking for prices. But I do ask what is a real price. I have a brother who has gotten plastic surgery procedures and he successfully haggles with them. . .I guess my concern is similar to when buying a new car. You find out someone got the exact same kind as you for a much lesser price. I want to be that guy with the best deal. Any suggestions to which doctor and for what price and also, I wish the doctor to be board certified and working in the US. Regards.
