  1. "Dr Rahals suggestion that the patient was a poor choice for FUT was spot on." That doesn't matter. What matters is if 404hairnotfound was told before his surgery that he would have an on the fence chance of success or if he was told after his surgery when the result turned out bad. Nothing else matters. "Sir you must understand that FUE was also developed for poor laxity patients" Where do you get your information, a cereal box? FUE was invented to avoid the smiley face like the one on my own head. Do you think a bunch of strip surgeons were sitting around trying to figure out how to get more hair on patients that have tight scalps and someone suddenly came up with FUE?
  2. I was hoping to see an update but it appears I was right, 404 has left the building. Its been two weeks and nothing. He was posting quite often before "the call". If you see this, 404, I feel for ya. Please come back and update us on your progress.
  3. So, I have this huge strip scar that pretty much goes from ear to ear. It's pretty good as far as scars go, but it is definitely visible since I keep my head shaved. I'm at the point in my life where it doesn't really bother me that much, but people certainly notice it and I am a little self-conscious of it. Are there many successful cases of scar camouflage using FUE or SMP??? I know these are options but I've honestly not heard or seen any real results or stories good or bad.
  4. Thanks seeker, definitely a lot to take into consideration. I think the key to everything you said was the cost vs actually benefits gained from more procedures. One thing I don't want, is more scarring. As for the workout regimen, that would take up an entire thread on it's own! I'll gladly give you some advice if you want to private message me and let me know what your specific fitness goals are. Thanks again for the help.
  5. On the fence? This is ridiculous. Did he tell you this before you had your surgery or are you finding this out now? Who would want to have surgery if the doctor says before a surgery that the result could have gone either way??? Did he show you examples of FUE into scar that he's performed to show you that this option is real or were they just words used to pacify you? It is kind of convenient that after one failed strip he says that you weren't a good candidate to begin with but you might be able to have FUE. The money milking is unbelievable. Was this also explained to you before your strip surgery, that you only had one surgery in you and that FUE would be necessary for any more work and what the expense of FUE would be? How much more is FUE than strip? I hope you update us all on how this goes. There are too many missing patients. Seems like once they talk to their doctor they fade away. Complain, talk to doctor, then exit stage left. Really? http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/164456-2500-fut-dr-rahal-hairline-repair.html How do you always stand behind your patients? If you do a do-over what happens if that doesn't grow well? Do you do more surgery? Do you give a refund? I don't think there is a legitimate way to make up for bad growth. If you give a refund what happens to the hair that was wasted? It's gone and there is a scar left as a smiling reminder and the patient has no way to get that donor hair back. That's what I went through and is why I have to shave my head now. I've accepted it and it looks good but it wasn't by choice which is why I think the idea of saying you stand behind your patients is useless. You can't give him his donor hair back, you can't get rid of his donor scar and you can't put him back on the fence since you already knocked him off.
  6. Ive always been interested in FUE into scar procedures (got a strip scar myself, and I now shave my head completely) I'm going to watch your case closely. Who was your doctor that gave you the strip scar? Best of luck with your outcome!
  7. Hi everyone. I'm in my early forties and about fifteen years ago I had a few hair transplants that didn't go so well. I had four surgeries in total, three with my first doctor and then the fourth was with another doctor to clean up the first mess. While the last doctor did a good job of cleaning up the scars and the bad work it never was enough to get me where I wanted to be. I'm happy to say that now I'm a head shaver and since I've been bodybuilding for the past 7 years I really enjoy the look of my head. I have a good head shape and it's nice for people to notice me for me and not for my bad work or the donor scar, which is still visible. I'm here to look into new techniques, such as FUE into scar tissue and maybe SMP. I can easily live with my donor scar now because it is pretty good but it would be nice to improve it if possible. If anyone has any suggestions on what works well I'm open to suggestions.
