  1. Yes, i work in HIV and STD clinic - and test people for HIV, Syphilis, gonorrhea, chlamydia, Hep C and so on....then i give them results and explain, as i did here, that life is normal regardless of the results. No one develop AIDS in developing countries ( less US where medicine in not free). Point i am trying to explain here to all of you non medical personal is: THERE IS NO RISK - undetectable HIV+ dos not have enough viral load for transmition to occur. In addition - while fear my be for HIV virus which is very fragile and dos not live long time out of body - main fear should be Hep C which is not fragile and can live long period outside the body. So there is NO RISK as transmition can not occur - but if a clinic is no sterilizing equipment - then most likely you will get all other disease before you get HIV. If straight guy is HIV+ and have an unprotected sex with a women - risk to a women to catch is very high If a gay guy hiv+ has unprotected penetration ( he is penetrating) - the risk to receiving guy is very high And opposite is the case: If female is HIV+ - straight guy has significantly reduced chance of getting HIV If a receptive( being penetrated) guy is HIV+ - the other guy has reduced risk in catching HIV Now there are so many sub versions of above - and many, many variation factors but in principle that's it. Now - any partner if HIV + Undetectable can freely have any type of sex with anyone - unprotected and transmition rate is : ZERO When a person is undetectable , and almost all patients are after short period of time after starting the treatment, there is not enough viral load for transmition to happen. What a wonderful achievement of medicine! I really hope so. Are you an private individual or medical person? I can send you PM and maybe you can give me your e mail and my clinic will answer. And now to come back to subject, where private business discriminate HIV+ Undetectable person - well they can do that maybe in 3rd world countries where law and protection of human rights is sill in development. But i am sure that soon someone will take this type of case to court - and win. As there is no medical ground to refuse to do surgery - so if they reply is : we dont want to do it because of your HIV status - then this is classified as discrimination in ALL western developed countries. Same as is to refuse service on base of sexuality, religion, color of skin etc... So i dont agree with Turkey approach - but not surprised , in Turkey they think if you touch HIV+ person - you got it. And whole society needs lots of educating - and sadly very sadly - medical staff too.
  2. @Alphaone hahah : the vaginal juice naturally kill it.... i think other type of juice naturally killed something in you... your statement is so stupid that i have no words for it. You are beyond ignorant and i hope no one believes stupidity you are speeding online. Having STD is a normal thing. Nothing to be ashamed from. People make big fuss with anything connected with sex - everything gets blown out of proportions. Language you are using : bumping uglies - says a lot about you and your hate and judgment. Gay population have higher HIV transmition due to one simple fact: they have more sex. While straight guy will have xx numbers of girls in his life itme, gay guy will have that in a month. Good for them! Lets not judge, hate and be ignorant.
  3. @Alphaone openly homophobic? if so just be honest - no need to hide your hate. US - its the worst country when it comes to treating HIV - as in Europe we ask no questions - person who get positive is immediately given FREE medications that suppress the virus for the rest of his/her lifetime. As such chain of transmition is interrupted - as person on medications CAN NOT transfer the virus. Also, PREP and PEP easy accessible and free - PREP are tables that protect you against HIV and PEP are tablets that if taken within 72h after exposure to HIV stop the infection altogether. So much progress has been made but hate, hysteria and ignorance - still huge problem. From medical prospective - HIV is no longer the issue - its now social issue of people being educated.
  4. I can see lost of misinformation, stereotype and fear ( and some hate). Today, HIV+ people take 1 daily tablet, and with that tablet in short period of time they are undetectable. Undetectable dos not chnage if you dont take one or two tablet, or if you take any other tablet - or for any other reason. I know its hard for many of you to get up to date with progress of medicine but today being HIV+ is nothing else that stigma. Health is not affected if person is on antiviral medication. They live normal life and can have kids and unprotected sex - and HIV is not passed on to kids ( mother to child) and sexual partners. @Alphaoneyour hate and ignorance is astonishing. First , i am HIV- but that make no difference here, your hate and ignorance is blocking you to that level that you could not read the original post correctly and see that i work with HIV in STD clinic. So maybe instead of suggesting an concentration camp for HIV+ people, try to open your listening ears : there is no possibility of transmition from an undetectable HIV+ person. Chances anyone getting HIV from HIV+ undetectable is : ZERO If clinic refuse patient on base of HIV status - yes its discrimination as same if they refuse someone because of color of their skin or religion. HIV+ undetectable are of no risk to anyone at all, i know many of you who dont work in the field still dont fully understand what undetectable means. If clinic refuses service as they feel they cant do a good job for them - fine. But if its solo based on their HIV status - then its discrimination. HIV dos not live long outside of body, its actually very fragile and any dry blood or similar is not enough for transmition. Clinic refusing HIV patient is wrong as there is NO danger to any other patient, and medical personal should know that - so if medical personal refuses then they are doing this on other grounds. @mafpe if person is undetectable - there is no risk even if there is human error or otherwise during sterilization process. BTW - there are so many other diseases that can be transferred if sterilization process not done properly, diseases much more deadly and health damaging than HIV. So fear from HIV and misinformation is only thing that plays here, nothing else.
  5. I agree re Belgium. Its a bigger issue / question here - why is Turkey discriminating? Should that be allowed and is it seen as overall good business practice? Should this forum take actions against those Dr who are bluntly discriminating? Should this forum recommend Dr who are refusing to accept a patient due to HIV status? As medical personal they should know better... really keen to hear back from individual Dr and clinic here re above subject.
  6. I did hair transplant few years ago, in Europe, Belgium. All good. I am HIV- STD consultant. I have a friend who is looking to do a hair transplant in Turkey and he is HIV+ undetectable. Now, i work with HIV and STD, so i was astonished to find out, that mainly Turkey flat out refused to treat HIV+ undetectable patients, and few who offered to do the work asked double pay. Yes double pay, first he got quoted 3,200 and after he disclosed his status, it jumped to 6,500 euros!!! Anyone who is medical person should very well know undetectable = nontransferable. Possibility catching HIV from an undetectable HIV+ patient is ZERO. In addition if stigma and fear and maybe other things still exist - all medical personal should be familiar with PEP , post exposure prophylaxis. And anyone who will say that they do not accept HIV+ undetectable patients due to risk to other patients, need to have their clinic closed immediately, as clearly they are not sterilizing their equipment properly. So, its very interesting that this is mainly Turkey approach, so would love to hear from other Dr and their policy re HIV+ undetectable patients. Thanks, Mario

  10. its been a week since my HT. I have great results in recipient area. It healed well and i have very few scrubs left which will go away with today washing. I am still bit red but all normal and ok. One thing i am more concerned is with donor area, i have clear patches of visible hair reduction, now i know this is to be expected to some degree, but what do you think guys? Thx
  11. day 3 tomorrow for a quick check up and after going home and waiting game start. will keep you guys posted, week, 14 days, month, 3, 6 and 12 months... unless i forget.
  12. hi there, i usually do not spend time writing on forums, i am one of those guys who use them but never post, ye ye i know... but i feel that its my obligation to share my two hair transplants, one with clinic outside Europe that was disaster, and another just now with BHR clinic in Belgium with Dr Bisanga. so guys hope this will help you. I am 36y male who had first hair transplant 5 years ago with a clinic who told me they gave me 1500 grafts to do my temples. I did mistake by not doing research and going for cheaper price thinking its all the same...we all know this is mistake. they did terrible job my right temple density was 2 times more than left one, ad they ware not properly connected to rest of the hair, in addition they did them almost like triangle. not good. so next few years i spend lots of time searching and making sure i get best, especially as hair between temples receded even more. I went to Canada to see in person Dr Rahal and week after to see Dr Bisanga - i kind off figured out that this two are some of best. Finally i decided for Dr Bisanga as he was closer to home and i felt that they will give same quality, difference was also that Dr Rahal quoted some 6.000 usd more. Now i did not want to do same mistake again so price was NOT factor in making decision but the fact that i felt that both Dr are great. So i had 2 days FUE with Dr Bisanga on 11 and 12 August 2014 and here are pichs before surgery, after day one, after day two. 1 hair 630 2 hair 1034 3 hair 659 4hair 189 In short i am very happy with all for now, one important thing, you will notice that there is no implants in right temple, this is due to first surgery being ok just for that temple...
