  1. Hi guys, it's been a while. I made an updated video where I've tried to answer more of the questions I get asked most often. I also filmed my hair being cut, washed, blow dried & styled as lots of people were asking to see the hair as it is without all the wax etc. There's also a snippet at the end of a video filmed a few years ago before my HT. Hope you find this helpful
  2. Thanks man! Congrats on the recent comp win, I saw the post - you should upload on here you lucky git! I need to get to the gym
  3. Hi matey, that's me. As Whiz said I have a couple of threads on here. There are a few other patients on here too. I did lots of research and had many consultations before I took the plunge and like you I looked on here for advice etc. Lots of clinics have a dedicated rep to post on here, or often the Docs themselves post their results which is great too but after being a patient I realised with HTI that they don't do that on here. Lots of docs are making names for themselves and building up their business, which as a self-employed builder I totally relate to! My Doc however was a really understated guy, professional, polite, just get on with his job kind of fella which for me personally is what I wanted. I was confident in the results I'd seen from HTI and as I've said before on here, it was the best decision I've ever made. Happy to chat if I can help, Karl
  4. Hi guys Not been on here for a good while, baby no. 3 has us both shattered! I have made a very short video which is a compilation of my pictures through the growth stages. I had lots of comments on Youtube on my other Q&A/Results video ( ) so I thought it would be useful to actually see the growth timeline instead of just the standard before and after. It's funny how easily you forget what you looked like before and during the awkward growing phases!

I will add this to my other video thread but last time you guys suggested I make a separate thread for that so I thought I would make that first.
  6. I think it's a 1, or half, not sure to be honest I'll ask when I next go in to get my ears lowered!
  7. I'm fairly pale and my redness didn't last long at all. It was something I was a bit worried about before hand as when I asked they did tell me that it is different for all patients depending on skin type and that fairer skin tends to stay red for longer, but I was pleasantly surprised, after my scabs shed I really had no redness at all.
  8. Looks natural to me, I wouldn't look twice if I wasn't told. Good for you man
  9. Thanks bud couldn't be happier, honestly. I had two surgeons but the main one was Dr Deniz (not Karadeniz). There are some other guys on here, think if you search Health Travel International some of them come up.
  10. I've watched this thread for a while and was hoping to see better results at 6 months, I thought maybe things would improve as the time went on but it's really sad to see this type of result at 6 months. That said, there is time yet and I do think that the texture and appearance will improve a little over time, especially once the redness clears and if you let your hair grow rather than keeping it short. I think that isn;t helping the overall appearance. I don't agree that you should remove the hairs, you have gone through so much hassle and heartache to get the hairs that are there now, and it isn't a big procedure in terms of graft numbers. I actually think you could end up with a good result in the future once this settles and if you went to a different/better surgeon and had a second op. With density increased by another 50% you would have a good hairline.
  11. Thanks man, nice of you to say. How did you get on with Health Travel? Did you get a consultation? Here are some updated pics taken yesterday. Had a line put in, got to keep up with the cool kids!
  12. There's tons of advice on here mate, as the others say, just take your time going through it all. It can be overwhelming, I know it was for me when I first came on! Welcome anyway!
  13. Good riddence to the scabs eh! Hated that stage! Looks like you're healing well mate.
  14. Wow looking excellent dude Major difference from your first lot of pics. You know you should take your own advice and make a dedicated thread, I'm sure there are others suffering from psoriasis who would benefit from your advice/experience?
  15. Thanks matey! That was my thinking behind it so glad you think so. You still doing the body buiilding comps?
  16. I know what you mean mate - I was exactly the same when I was trying to decide where to go. It's a tough call. My advice would be to focus on picking the right clinic for you because shock loss could happen anywhere and if it does, it's not like the clinic will be able to do much about it, unless it was bad and needed a second op?- so I would focus on using a good clinic/one you feel confident ain to limit the chance of shockloss. How many grafts do you think you need or have you not had any consultations yet? It would be ideal if we could all be treated here in the UK but the cost just puts it out of our reach, and even though you hear horror stories about going abroad, there are a lot of horror stories from the clinics here aswell. The botch bodies shows on channel 4 have shown some repair work and they have been from work done over here. I know guys who have paid big money to be treated here and their results are really poor. I think that's what pushed me to look abroad in the first place. I took my time researching lots of clinics in Turkey and settled on a company that felt right for me and who answered all my many questions. If you're not that bald you've got plenty of time to make a decision
  17. Hi mws85 - welcome to the nut house Thanks for the compliment man, much appreciated. I paid 4,000 which included PRP , direct flights, 4 nights in a really good hotel, private transfers to and from everywhere and all the medicine, special shampoo etc. You looking at going abroad?
  18. Thanks man. No, no dirty blues over here haha. I'm not massively into the footie to be honest but it's red all the way in my family. Yeah you after a while you get used to your new appearance, seeing the old videos and pics from my wedding and stuff, I think bloody hell yeah I used to be quite bald! Work pals were cool to be fair, I did get some stick from mates but they have been the most interested in the process and asking me all about it now that they see what a massive difference it has made to not just my hair but my happiness in general really. A couple of my close mates are wanting to get it done too so it's cool. When are you taking the plunge then? Where you having it done or you not decided yet?
  19. Hi mate! Baby is a dream so far, I know from experience though that he won't stay that way! And my others are girls! How about you mate, how you getting on? How's growth? and your psoriasis? Did you get any more advice from Health Travel International about it affecting growth or is it all good now?
  20. Cheers pal, good of you to say. I'm self employed so not had to brave too many building sites as such, but the lads who work from me were pretty cool about it. To be honest, I've found that the guys who take the p/ss at first when they hear about it were the ones asking me the most about how is worked and how much it cost etc once they saw the growth coming!
  21. Cheers matey, nice of you to say and glad you liked the vid!
