  1. Yes I agree that hair restoration cannot give you back your full density. Usually at best is 45 percent density And that is with 2 procedures.
  2. I've seen of dr diep YouTube vids. I hope he can show more of the back donor area on his future vids.
  3. Yes I agree the top docs produce good results. Who are these top doctors? We all need to do the research to find these top doctors. But you got to admit pictures do not depict real life as we know this industry with before and pictures with the angles And lighting often show a thick full set of hair which causes people who have hair transplant to be disappointed. We need to educate people and have them understand hair transplant do not give density. All I'm saying is some hairlines look natural and some don't. And some before and after pictures look great but in real life that is not the case.
  4. I agree that some hairlines don't look natural. However, some do look natural as well. I do think the pictures we see posted by doctors don't really depict what you would see in real life. Pictures are altered and sometimes had Photoshop done. I know because all HT look thin. I seen before and after pictures stating norwood 6 with 2300 grafts done and the picture show a full set of hair. It's just amazing that when you stop and actually think about it, it's just no way. Any hair transplant doctor can tell you that you be lucky to achieve 20 percent density on your first hair transplant; hence, thin look. Nothing like the pictures or commercial or YouTube vids show.
  5. You can shampoo everyday or twice a day if you need. Shampoo has nothing to do with hair loss. With that said, you can certainly wash your hair every 3 days but keep in mind there will be more hairs in the drain. Hair loss is from dht. It's from your genes. It's not from washing your hair too often.
  6. On your first picture is that before your HT#1? If yes, where were the grafts placed?
  7. There was a myth about if you wear a hat too tight or if you always wear hats, that its bad for your hair and you will go bald. Hence, its a myth. Same thing with Toppik or Dermmatch, Doctors say it does not cause hair loss and it's safe to use. Hair loss is cause by DHT.
  8. Thanks for the update! Did the Dr tell you what density he transplanted you at? 25cm or 35cm sq? Your hair looks to be filling in nicely. Also did the Dr say you will need a second HT for density or did he mention anything about future loss in other native hairs that you will most likely need another HT?
  9. I've seen 2000 grafts in some cases of minor hair loss to produce an ok result but when I see Norwood 4 with 4000 grafts with the picture showing amazing and great results I just don't know. In person if we see this patient it has to be a thin look right? 4000 grafts for Norwood 4?
  10. This look great! But is this just pictures taken at the right angle and right lighting? Or can we expect a Norwood 4 with 4000 grafts to produce this result? To all that know about math and density what would you say the density is for 4000 grafts for this Norwood 4 patient? 40cm??
  11. Mickey, great message. I saw that you mention avg person having like 5000 to 6000 grafts of donor hair. Does this apply to fue? Just wondering how many grafts an avg person can get doing fue without it looking moth eaten.
  12. I've been told that toppik is safe to use. Also dermmatch but I never heard of these causing hair loss or anything. I know a lot of people using these items for years and they all told me their doctors said there is no harm
  13. Yes I guess it all depends on your hairloss pattern and how thick your hair is. I'm not sure if I will go the smp route or the ht route. It will all depend on my final balding pattern. Right now the pattern I have is front corners miniturization. I could easy have enough hair to do fill it in. But I don't want two horns if I end up losing more hairs and having to chase hair loss. Hopefully as you get older hair loss stablizes. The key is what is the perfect age for hair loss to stable to get a cosmetic procedure either smp or ht. The choice is not easy on which procedure. HT is very risky because with limited donor. And smp, with all the research I been doing I get the feel that it just looks too fake. The dots I see in the pictures are too big and some dots are not even circular but rather oval like. And these hairlines 8 out of 10 are just fake looking. So one week I'm thinking smp for me and the next week I feeling ht. Not an easy decision by any means. And I'm especially cautious from reading these board messages that people didn't like smp and these very same clinics are now doing smp and changing their tunes. Very interesting to say the least.
  14. Jimmy did the doc tell you that you might need another transplant in the future and if so how much grafts can you get out of another fue procedure?
  15. I got a full head of hair so if I take pictures and post it won't say much. I'm thin in the corners to a somewhat norwood 2 to maybe even 3. But pictures won't say much at this point. I got no miniturization on crown, top and front. Only miniturization in the front corners per doctor. But I guess you never know right with hair loss progression. Just trying to learn from you all amd build my knowledge in hair loss.
  16. Thanks for your input, Fueonly! You seem like your not into the whole SMP thing. I talked with people who said SMP looks fake. I never seen it in person. However, the people on this board says it looks real and good. Anyway how many Fue grafts can you take from your donor before eat starts becoming thin "moth eaten"?
  17. Asiandude, any update to your status on if you had another procedure to address your concerns? I read your thread and saw the pictures you posted and i actually think your hair looked better before the transplant. Anyway I hope you can share more about your situation because I was thinking about having my corners restored like yours but after seeing your pictures i probably would never do a hair transplant.
  18. Thank you for the comment and yes I agree with what you said about not being more than nw4.
  19. Yes I agree that there are many happy people with their transplants and would love to hear some comments from them. Do hair transplant give you fullness or is it see thru? I've seen hair transplant in person and it's thin looking and the hair look like its fried or dry. However when I see those before and after photos it's like wow sign me up.
  20. I'm going back and forth between smp and hair transplant. Do hair transplant provide fullness or density as shown in before and after pictures? Or is it all lies? Basically if I'm in the restroom with lighting can you see your scalp? Because in these before and after pictures, it sure does look dense and full. If one were to tranplant into the front corners would the transplant match the existing density of the forelock. Basically what I'm trying to get at is are hair transplant worth it as far as expectations of density or will it alway be thin and see thru? I seen hair transplants in person and it's see thru. Nothing like the before and after pictures I see on websites. Please share your thoughts
  21. Nice hair! Glad to hear hair transplant worked for you.
  22. Ok let us know if u do deside on smp into your scar. Anyway how did your transplant come out? Is it like those commercials where you have a nice set of hair after a transplant?
  23. Thank you for the reply. If anyone else can offer their thoughts it would be greatly appreciated. I mainly want feedback from people who see smp to give me their input on if a bold shave look can look as real as what these smp sites say.
  24. Does smp look real? Especially would like people who perform smp on people to replly, can you guys tell by looking at the scalp who had smp? It's kinda like how a hair transplant surgeon can spot a hair piece up close. Can smp doctors or artist know right away if the scalp was treated with smp. The reason why I'm asking is I'm hearing that smp does not look real but yet every site I read says you can't tell between smp and real hair. So I want to ask all the pros out there, does smp look real. Can I tell the different between existing hair and smp on the scalp.
