  1. He is a good doctor who is capable to achieve terrific results. The issue is rather he has created such a positive reputation that he doesn't have to do as many procedures himself, but hire & allow his peers to perform many HT's. This is kind of how life works. One reputable professions create that image they don't have to work as hard. We like to sit here and chat about transplants from successful surgeons, but there are so many upcoming doctors, most notably in Turkey who are very affordable and great. They are the primary overseers, however once they become huge they will do the same as these other ones are doing. This Erdogan doctor is unreal. Unbelievable results. Though probably only a matter of time until the same happens with him. Just how it works unfortunately.

  3. I have been reading up on ACell/PRP, and it seems to be a pretty interesting procedure. I am 22, NW4. Have two older brothers, one 27 who is a NW6, and has been pretty bald since 23, and another who is 25, and is a NW5. I am the only one of the three of us to use Finasteride, and if I were to get a HT I'd wait 4-5 more years. However, I have been reading up on ACell/PRP, and it seems to be a nice alternative to people who are on the road to losing their hair, but still have some coverage. This thickens hair, and has the potential to regrow dying hair, similar to that of what Finasteride does except more promise perhaps? Is this a very expensive procedure? I only ask because I feel like I'd be a good candidate for something like this maybe a year from now. It seems like a good alternative. Thoughts? Check out some of these images of before/after for some people who ONLY did ACell/PRP
  4. This is honestly a poor suggestion for someone who is a NW6/7. The way Finasteride/Rogaine work are you need hair to make hair. It will not magically grow tons of hair. It can possibly maintain existing hair, while additionally having the potential to make it thicker. If you don't have hair it will do nothing, and even if you do there is no guarantee it will work.
  5. Have to agree. The more and more I read about it, HT's aren't worth it unless you're somewhat of a middle aged person with already decent coverage. Filling in temple point or just half of your scalp can be attained with proper surgeon research and lets face it, luck too. So many people are NW6/NW7 by their late 40's-mid 50's, and these people are also getting HT's in their mid 20's-late 20's. Might look good for the time being, but at the end of the day it will end up looking pretty crappy.
  6. I don't believe some people in this thread understand. Not that I am advocating one option or the other, but of course we all want our natural hair back. What makes this option appealing is the cost differentiation compared to the HT, as well as the success of hair to actually be there. As a 22 year old who is a NW3 Vertex, I do plan on getting a HT in a couple of years. However, there is absolutely no guarantee that your hair will actually grow back. While many people have had successful HT on this forum, there are so many pretty terrible results too. (lets be honest) And these results are from verified recommended surgeons from the forum. Again some results are terrific and give me so much hope, but others just make me even more nervous and upset for when the day comes that I may reconsider when that day comes.
  7. As someone who is on a budget, and is considering Dr. Bhatti, I must say this is very disappointing. From my understanding he is recommended on this forum, and sounds like a knowledgeable doctor, though I have seen a couple of threads now with not so great results. To those saying his donor is the problem, that draws some skepticism to the doctor agreeing to do the transplant in the first place, no? Eternal, I think it would look decent buzzed to be honest, or using dermmatch would be a good alternative.
  8. I use Regenpure and like it. It defiantly doesn't regrow hair but it is easy on existing hair, making it not as easy to fall out when applying a shampoo, which usually results in hurting hair strands. Wow I just looked at your hair blog. That is quite the accomplishment.
  9. I have been a long-time lurker to these forums, and have read hundreds of threads based on minoxidil/propecia/dut here. While these have been insightful and I just hoped on the bandwagon for these two drugs around a month ago. (No results so far obviously) Though the emphasis of this thread is around a new technique that I had never heard about before until today. The use of DMSO and Phosphatidylserine, two things I have never heard of before. If you do a google search you will see plenty of threads from hairloss forums on these two things. The odd thing about it is most of these threads are old threads, which has led me to think this doesn't work, or it is just really not safe and a hassle. Take a look at this dude's blog that I came across today. His results don't look amazing, but is this something worth looking into? Thanks for any knowledge on this topic. **outside link removed by Moderator**
  10. Is it okay to use both of these regularly? I use Dr. Regenepure/Nizoral, but would like to include a hair thickening shampoo too. Will this cause any kind of dilemma in regards to the ketoconzole effectiveness? While Dr. Regenpure/Nizrol have added thickness to the appearance in the past, it is nothing compared to the toppik hair building fiber shampoo that I also have. Thanks for any experiences or recommendations with this scenario.
