So I am 1 year in on Fin (pics below) hard to compare to previous pics as hair is considerably longer at the moment. Let me know what you think from when I started to now, would be appreciated. Have to say I am disappointed, I had hoped for more, I don't think my hair has improved perhaps just stayed the same at best. Next step I think will be taking the plunge for a transplant, just don't know where to start.

Update I'm 4 1/2 months in and not had any noticeable improvement yet I don't think. Possibly even worse. No noticeable side effects to report. I'm sticking with it for at least a year so hoping may see improvement eventually

Thanks for replies guys, will be taking photos evey month and let you all be the judges as to resukts. Im 32 and am taking 1mg Propecia a day. Been taking for just over week now and not really noticed any sides yet but am trying not to look to hard and just get on with it as if you look hard enough you'll find something that's not really there. I am worried about getting certain ones though. What side effects did you experience?

So I've started Propecia today and am posting some photos so you guys can let me know independently what you think of any results. I will try to post once a month. I'm mad worried about the sexual side effects but it's a double edge sword as losing your hair beats up your confidence which also causes side effects the same as Propecia can. Also can anyway estimat what I am on the Norwood scale? and how I may respond to Propecia (if lucky or unlucky) Thanks

I'm sure some people may suffer serious side effects but I'm sure some people will have no side effects and good results

I was looking at Lloyds online but seems expensive apparently!

So this stuff really works people. I know it won't grow new hair but will it thicken the hair in my crown that has already started thinning. I'm considering FUE but hoping I can leave that I till later in life if propecia works. Cheers

Well I've decided to give propecia a try I've sourced it from a reputable online pharmacy for 24 weeks supply for 240 GBP Does this price seem reasonable to everyone Many thanks

Hi all Where is the best place in the UK to buy finasteride from and has any one had any side effects off it, bit worried about this and one side in particular. I'm covering my head in minoxidil at the moment but it doesn't seem to be doing much, are there any alternatives to minoxidil? Thanks

Your results look great there Sean Hi David, yes I'm going to look into finesteride but like I said concerned about the sides, have you guys had good results with it? Have heard of farjo/Lorenzo. They sound really expensive although there work does seem top notch. Just not sure I could afford it there. I know I really need to go for a consultation to see how many grafts and the costs I can expect as the cost could be a game changer and finesteride the only option. Thanks guys

Thanks for your reply Rootz, The crown is certainly the worst area but I'm thinning at the front also so would ideally like to do something with this area too. I use minoxidil at the minute but I am weary of finestride/propecia because of any unwanted side effects that I have read about. Maybe I'll have to consider trying it.

Hi I'm new here and I'm considering a hair transplant with one of these surgeons Dr Raghu reddy or Dr Shamhalak. Has anyone used either these to and would recommend either of them? Also from the pic provided does anyone have any idea how many grafts and cost I might be looking at? Apologies for my lack of knowledge this has only become a recent issue for me and the more I look the bigger the issue gets
