  1. I know the low cost drives patients overseas and for some its the only way they can afford a transplant. But...it comes with plenty of risk and possibly negative consequences. If you could only afford 1,000+ grafts in Istanbul, I'm sure it will be difficult to afford an attorney. I know your frustrated but hopefully you will get some good growth from your procedure. Hang in there. Keep us posted.
  2. I agree "5Beta...". All of my grafts were extracted and placed by Dr. Vories. Techs certainly have their place in the clinic and I'm sure many are competent handling grafts but you typically feel better knowing the doctor who puts his reputation on the line, is performing the surgery.
  3. Here's a picture of my donor area two years after my first surgery and just minutes prior to my 2nd surgery. About 1,750 grafts were taken from this area. We did a mega-session of over 5,000 in my first surgery. The size punch was 0.8 mm. In my opinion there were no discernible scarring from a few feet away. Just my thoughts.
  4. Hard to tell from the pictures but I hope you plan to use the 2,500 grafts in the frontal areas. That crown will take a separate surgery with many grafts. Crowns are notoriously hard to cover.
  5. Good luck with your search. You could do around 2,000 grafts at Carolina Hair Surgery with your budget. Dr. Vories does online consultations if you're interested. I'm sure you will find a clinic your comfortable with. Keep us posted.
  6. Glad to see a great job on a women. I'm sure she is quite pleased. We all know guys are concerned about their hair but women really struggle. So glad to see a successful surgery. Great work Sir.
  7. Hope to see more pictures later on. Curious to see how the FUT scar is covered.
  8. Too soon to tell at this point. Give us an update in about 2 to 3 more months. You may be pleased at that point.
  9. I usually don't comment directly about Carolina Hair Surgery but I will in this case. Dr. Vories has always done 100% of graft extractions and insertions at his clinics. That's why he only takes one patient per day. His techs handle the prep work prior to surgery and they assist throughout the procedure. It would be interesting to know how many other doctors do all of the extractions and insertions themselves.
  10. Find a doctor and clinic you're comfortable with. Spending an extra $375 on a plane ticket is not a big deal when you spend a lot more on the procedure. I flew from Kentucky to South Carolina for mine. Best thing I ever did....about 10 years ago.
  11. Hang in there and be patient. I'm sure you will be pleased in a few more months.
  12. Remember your head is still very numb from all the anesthetics. I actually scratched my scalp a bit when I rubbed on the scabs to work them loose. Be gentle. Follow all the suggestions above and you will be fine.
  13. I was a Norwood VI as well. I had 5,000+ FUE grafts done but had excellent donor areas. Listen to Melvin, he gives good advice and wants to help. Hope you can come up with a reasonable solution. You can see my results on my website and do some comparisons. I've chronicled the past 10 years since my surgery.
  14. Looks good. Glad you are pleased. Thanks for sharing.
