  1. Looks great! I can relate...somewhat. I was a Norwood VI as well and Dr. Vories performed my procedure in a little over 2 days back in 2012 and extracted and implanted 5,125 grafts. At the time, this was a huge FUE procedure. Still looks great 11 years later! Congrats on your results.
  2. Thanks Melvin! Well produced and what a transformation for a gentleman who clearly has had a long and difficult journey. He appears so happy now. I had a 5,000+ surgery and later a 2,000 graft touch-up, so I can modestly relate to the transformation. Thanks again for sharing and moderating this fine website.
  3. FUE creates almost non-discernible scarring. Tiny white dots. Nice punch size (0.75). Glad you are pleased.
  4. You have nothing to worry about! Those grafts find a blood source and are strongly embedded just days after surgery. Keep us posted with your progress!
  5. I wore a loose fitting surgical cap when I traveled right after my surgery. Just make sure you wear a very loose fitting hat and be careful removing it each time. Your head will be numb for many days or weeks after the surgery. You don't want to rub out any grafts so gently remove the cap for 3-4 days.
  6. 0.8 or 0.9 is just fine. You will not see any obvious scarring with these punch sizes. Just a tiny white dot if your head is shaved.
  7. Pictures look great! Looking good! Keep us posted with results down the road a bit.
  8. We're pulling for you to be a slow grower. Keep us posted. Hang in there!
  9. When I had my surgery and traveled back home, my doctor gave me one of those light-weight surgical caps. It loosely fits and covers your head safely and nicely.
  10. Great narrative, try to find a way to show us the pictures. Looking forward to seeing them.
  11. Looks like 2,000 grafts would be appropriate for that area shown in the pictures. You should be fine and see good growth in 3-4 months.
  12. Sorry to hear that "Phab". It was important to me that the doctor does all the extractions and insertions. So sorry that you assumed that would be the case. Some doctors want to rotate as many patients as possible so there's no way they can extract and insert all grafts. Hope you see hair growth soon. It's not unusual to not see results in 4 months but you should begin to see growth very soon.
  13. Best of luck Benny! Hope you're very happy with your experience with Eugenix. Provide us updates in March.
  14. I know your budget is an issue but save your money and make sure you go with a good reputable surgeon. Best of luck.
  15. Hang in there "MelVB", hopefully it will turn out better than expected and letting the hair grow a bit longer can only help. Keep us posted it on your progress.
  16. Covering the crown area is so difficult and requires a lot of grafts. 1,500 is not very many for a large area. Be patient and send us an update in a couple months.
  17. Dr. Vories (I believe you are referring to) performed my mega-surgery (7,000+ grafts) years ago. I've been posting on this great site ever since. Dr. Vories at Carolina Hair Surgery extracts and inserts every graft himself and concentrates on one surgery each day. He also provides online consults. I've never taken a prescription for hair retention (my choice) and my wife who is a hair dresser has seen no hair loss in the recipient areas. I've chronicled my whole journey on my website MyFUEhairtransplant. Good luck with your search.
  18. Hair serum??? What is this serum supposed to do for you? I'm not familiar with post surgery serums.
  19. Don't worry about it. Sounds like an isolated event. This is one graft of 2,000. I rubbed out about 10 of my grafts the first night after surgery. I did it in my sleep but I wasn't concerned nor was Dr. Vories. Ten grafts made no difference in the excellent outcome. You will be just fine.
  20. Wow, hate to hear that. I can't imagine a doctor not disclosing the graft count. Hope we hear back from "Giraffsarecool" to see how he is doing.
  21. Thanks for the narrative! Well documented. Can't open the attachments however.
  22. I would say Norwood 5 moving to a 6. I was a N-6 and had 5,125 grafts back in 2012 with very similar hair color. You can see my before/afters on my website below. Not sure on doctors in Europe but I'm sure you will find a good one. I went to Carolina Hair Surgery here in the states.
  23. Glad you're on the road to recovery. Keep us posted with your progress.
  24. You should have no bleeding after the surgery. Take the prescribed meds initially, then over-the-counter pain meds should be just fine. I'll bet your surgeon suggests the same thing but make sure you ask. Best of luck and keep us posted.
