Your Hair Loss Story
I'm documenting my latest surgery on YouTube just search HTsoon in YouTube and you'll find my videos.
I began to notice my temples receding at age 21, like all males I freaked out, I started taking minoxidil but shortly after I started shedding massively, im talking I would run my fingers through my hair and clumps of hair would be in my hands, so I freaked out and stopped, knowing what I know today, that was a good indicator that my hair follicles were minituarizing, I then got on Finasteride but shortly after started experiencing some erectile issues without even knowing the cause, I went to the doctor cause I was concerned as a 21 year old, and I was told that finasteride the medication I was on could be causing it, so I had to stop, luckily though the side effects were reversed. So for about 5 years I did nothing, I still had a good amount of hair, I styled it in a faux hawk fashion that hid my hair loss well, I honestly kinda forgot about hair loss for a few years, but then I turned 26, and a friend of mine who I hadn't seen in over a year saw me and told me that I had lost a lot of hair, my heart sank to the pit of my stomach, I thanked him for at least being honest with me, that day I bought Rogaine Foam, I said screw it I had nothing left to lose but more hair, I got on Rogaine but the shedding that I once got I didnt get again, my hair follicles were too far along the minitaurization process to be reversed, so for about 3 years I stayed on rogaine but continued to lose hair. It was not until I turned 28 that things really hit rock bottom, my hair had gotten so thin it was impossible to style, the crown had expanded tremendously, the clear norwood 6 pattern was now undeniable, I felt an all time low, to think 5 years ago I had sported a 6 inch mohawk, to now not even being able to style my hair.
I did my research throughout the years and combed through dozens of doctors before and after results, I considered many physicians, sent many inquiries online, until seeing a particular physician on Youtube, this physician was not very well known, but the video results looked amazing, its easy to change a photo, but a video is a different story, so I decided to take the plunge re-do my hairline to fill in the existing hairline that I already had, mind you I did not lower the hairline I just kept the hairline that was already a norwood 2. I have now mapped out a 5 year plan for my hair loss procedures, I plan on having one more FUE procedure, I plan on completely using up all of the available donor hair left, and if depletion occurs I plan on transplanting bodyhair to make up for the depletion.
Here goes to more hair in the years to come Cheers!
