  1. Feel free to ask me any questions… happy to help...
  2. Hi Guys, After much researching on here, the internet and through various other mediums I finally took the plunge and had my first hair transplant. Thankyou everyone who offered me advice and guidance on here. It was such a success that I'm in line to complete my second procedure on December 18th. The Doctor I decided on, after numerous consultations with other physicians, was Dr. Parsa Mohebi at the Hair Restoration Network based in LA. http://ushairrestoration.com From my first consultation he made me feel completely at ease and explained the procedure carefully and thoroughly to allay any fears or concerns I may have. Mine was a relatively simple procedure - I had 1700 grafts and was really only looking to restore my frontal and receding side hair line. I'm a young guy with a lot of hair elsewhere so my primary concern was that, being hair line work, it look subtle and natural. I couldn't have been more pleased with the results. Even with the little sprouts of hair that were left after the procedure I was excited. I could finally change my hair style and didn't feel I had to scrape it all forward to cover the areas I was embarassed by. My hair had long been a cause of anxiety for me so I genuinely couldn't believe how pleased I was with the results. I've been on Finastride since and the hair is growing strongly and nicely. I went for my 6 month check up and while back and Dr. Mohebi was very pleased with the results. Dr. Mohebi warned me before the procedure that there would only be 40% growth with the inital procedure and that if I wanted more hair density in those areas I would need a second procedure which I am happy to undertake as I was so pleased with the service I recieved the first time round. I did have swelling and needed a few days off the first procedure but Dr. Mohebi's staff were kind and patient with me and guided me through the recovery process. I would whole heartedly recommend to anyone considering a hair transplant. He's an excellent surgeon and a really nice guy. Especially for younger guys who may be on the fence about whether it would look unatural - he did an excellent job with me.

  5. I am a 30 year old male, originally from the UK. I started noticing that the sides of my hairline were receding about a year and a half ago. I began using a number of treatments over the next year and a half to combat this. Apart from the side parts I have a lot of hair on my head and can easily cover the bits that are receding but don't want to have to. First I use Rogaine Foam, just on the sides, this hasn't appeared to have any effect. Then I started Propecia and that did seem to give me more hair - but not on the sides which is the only part I wanted to re-grow. I even tried Latisse on those areas as heard it would help but that didn't seem to have much effect. After that I tried a 12.5% minoxidil cream, to be applied nightly, from the UK Belgravia clinic. This may have helped but it's hard to notice a difference. I'm worried that these stubborn side areas wouldn't respond to these types of medicine. After all this I thought it was time to see about a Hair Transplant. I went to Bosley (Beverly Hills, I live in Los Angeles) who advised me that I would need 500-800 graphs. I am considering having the surgery done with them next wk so any fast replies much, MUCH appreciated! Are Bosley any good? I've read good and bad things about them online? Which of the three surgeons there are the best - Mark V Andrews, Edwin A Suddleson or David P Deutsch? If they are not the best can anyone reccommend a better surgeon in LA? Baring in mind I am not losing that much hair and want to do this on a bit of a budget as I am self employed? Please Help! Thankyou.
