  1. To be clear i'll go anywhere in the world for the best. If that turned out to be the US, then great. But if not, also not an issue. Ultimately the choice will be based on quality.
  2. I had a transplant in 2014 which Im happy with. However I have lost ground in my crown since then and Im looking to have a second procedure. Im ok to to travel all over the world. Any recommendations? And are these recommendations specific to working on the Crown or are they just generally "The best". Back in 2014 I met with Feriduni and Bisanga so they are on my list. Also Mwamba. Edit: Also keen to hear about any non Europe based doctors. Im US based
  3. The most common cause of high frequency of needing to urinate is an enlarged prostate. It just seems weird that the drugs Im taking are actually to treat enlarged prostates (Fin and Dut).
  4. So I started on Finasteride around 2007 and have been taking it continuously since then. Around 2017 I started taking Dutasteride once a week which I then upped to twice a week and now three times a week. For most of that time I continued to take finasteride except on the days I was taking Dutasteride and over approximately the last year I have basically stopped the finasteride and just focused on the 3 Dut a week. Now I have no idea if this is related to the above but over the last year the amount I need to urinate during the night has increased a lot to the point where it disturbs my sleep. I dont know if this is Unrelated to the medication or Because of dropping the finasteride or Because of taking up Dutasteride I know frequent urination is related to enlarged prostates. And I know both Fin and Dut are used to treat that. So Im confused why I would be experiencing this. Any thoughts?
  5. I have noticed that some FUE docs scare away from doing the crown on patients when there is just mild thinning. While others are prepared to do the whole head. What is the reasoning behind this? I did a few online consultations and some docs said they wouldn't touch my crown yet, while a few actively suggested it. Is it more about their own confidence in working that area or is there other logic at work?
  6. This thread is interesting as it shows that certain doctors would be better for certain FUE situations? Out of interest which of those doctors would be best for a Norwood III?
  7. interesting. I could have sworn I read a post where mickey85 said he was thinking of having surgery with feriduni. I might have mixed up his avatar with someone else though!
  8. Just to clarify, who are the top two? Lorenzo and Feriduni or Lorenzo and Bisanga? Do you think there are occasions when you should choose one and not the other? (ie are some suited only to certain people? Like are there people who shouldnt go with Lorenzo but should go with .... etc)
  9. I have been a member of a couple of hair loss forums for a while (not this one as it happens) although I did lurk here for a while about 6 months ago when I started researching this. At that time Chrisis had posted his FUE blog and all the talk seemed to be about Feriduni and Bisanga and the Belgian doctors. After researching and doing online consultations I felt assured in my decision to pursue FUE with one of the two Belgians knowing that they were both the best in the world. I have not yet acted on this desire but I am coming close to booking surgery. However I spent the weekend reading over posts from the last 6 months and I was startled to see a few threads where people like Mickey85, who talks about feriduni as one of the best, was now saying that Lorenzo was "a whole other level". Im pretty sure I read somewhere that Mickey85 was planning surgery with Feriduni is this correct? Would you say Lorenzo now is better? Another thing that struck me was in another thread someone mentioned that Hariri used to talk about feriduni a lot but now talks about Lorenzo a lot and doesnt mention feriduni. So my question is... Has lorenzo changed the FUE landscape? Should I really be considering him over the Belgians? Or are they pretty much equal? Is Lorenzo another level? Or is this all just hype? Does the fact that hes not in the IAHRS matter?
